Description

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MAKING A BRUSH RING The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of a brush or brush holder collar, by means of which it is proposed that the brush holder collar is used in particular with various corresponding brush holder collars such as a swab, which rotates about an axis longitudinal, in a brushing machine. The brush holder collar consists of a broom part and a ring-shaped part or collar, which connects the radially directed brushes forming the broom part, the parts of which form as a uniform whole preferably of plastic-based material, and in the which at least the retaining means have been arranged to prevent the brush holder collar from being twisted, when it has been assembled in place to the brushing frame of the planing machine with the other brush holder collars placed one after the other on the longitudinal direction. The brush holder collar is made of a practically elongated brush preform, in which the brushes are connected to each other by fusion, where in the fusion existing on the upper edge of the broom preform, which moves along in a practically straight position, the plastic paste is being driven, ie, in a practically solid state, to work the broom collar to its final shape by means of a press mold unit forming the part of the frame and preferably the holding means of the plastic raisin. The type of brush-bearing collars described above is used to form swabs on most heterogeneous sweeping trucks and planing machines. The brush holder collars currently used usually consist of a ring-shaped part frame or in other words, which has been bent into a circumferential shape, when viewed in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the brushes, and these are usually made of thin rolled iron, the thickness of which is for example about 1 mm and in which the brushes have been joined for example by means of the solidification of a suitable adhesive mass. This type of brush holder collars are commonly flat. This type of brush holder collars that are partially made of metal, tend to break particularly by the cold, which is due to the stiffening of the brushes. In such a case, these open in certain places of the laminated iron of the frame that supports the part of the brush of the brush holder collar, in which case larger or smaller units of the parts of the swab are released from the brush holder collar. Besides this, this problem is involved with the type of brush holder collars described above that have metal frames and plastic brushes, that the reuse of it is impossible in practice because, the separation of the laminated iron from the frame of the brushes it is not economically justified in practice. This is because the type of brush holder collars are separated as a whole in the discharge area, this is naturally a significant waste problem. In addition, when the type of brush holder collars described above are being used, very strongly constructed support structures must be used, as well, such as spacer rings made of metal, fastener rings, etc. This is why a swab collected from this class of collars brush holder becomes disproportionately expensive. On the other hand, of the Finnish Patent No. 87977, a swab element is previously known, which is completely made of plastic-based material, when the method is exploited according to the patent in question, the plastic paste that practically exists in a solid form, it is guided on the melt that exists on the upper edge of the broom preform, which moves along in an almost straight position to work the brush holder collar to its final shape by means of a press mold unit forming the part of the frame and preferably the holding means from the plastic paste. The arrangements that are explained in the patent in question to feed particularly the plastic paste on the upper part of the molten edge of the broom preform are insufficient when carried out in practice, this gives rise to that, this paste of plastic becomes eccentric on the broom preform. This also gives rise to the fact that the result, when the pressing of the swab preform is carried to the end brush holder collar, is not adequately homogeneous. These results can be significant disadvantages in practice when the brush holder collar is used in a planing machine where, for example the vibration is caused due to the lack of balance and in addition due to the superior wear and tear of the planer machine and the discomfort for The use of the machine are also caused. The. The elements of the swab manufactured by the method described in the above patent are flat, that is, because of the wear of the swabs, the brushing of the swab formed from the brush holder collars becomes incontinuous in the longitudinal direction of the swab particularly at the points of union of the brush holder collars, this is because the swab can not meet the conventional demands that are required for certain purposes because the material that is going to be brushed can pass through the swab without touching the brushes, in which case the swab It can be disassembled and the brush holder collars replaced. The objective of the method for the manufacture of a brush holder collar according to this invention is to obtain a decisive improvement in the problems presented before and in this way practically raise the level of knowledge in the field. To achieve this objective, the method according to the invention is mainly characterized in that the plastic paste being directed is bent into an easily finished form, such as through a U-shaped extrusion slot or, in correspondence , in a broom preform, preferably in the upper part of a melting edge of the broom preform, that is to say, being preheated in the same connection. As the most important advantages of the method, simplicity and reliability can be mentioned. Thanks to the invention it is first possible to produce brush holder collars, the manufacturing costs of which are significantly more profitable and which are more heterogeneous than the brush holder collars present particularly because, that the plastic paste which is bent in the form significantly improves the homogeneity of the brush holder collars beforehand, because the plastic paste that forms the part of the frame can not be eccentrically solidified. Thanks to the invention, the brush holder collars that are manufactured by this method are very easily usable by the user and particularly durable due to the homogeneity thereof. When the pre-heating of the broom preform is advantageously exploited, the method according to the invention further guarantees that the contact between the solid molten paste and the broom preform connecting the previous ones to each other is achieved reliably and effectively already during the situation, when the plastic paste is being extruded in the broom preform. The preheating described above also makes the rigidity of the molten edge of the broom preform balanced by the influence of heat, which also allows a uniform touch as possible between them and the plastic paste. Advantageous embodiments of the method according to the invention are presented in the appended claims directed to the method. The invention relates to an apparatus that operates in accordance with the principle of the method as well, which is being described in greater detail in the preamble of the independent claim related thereto. The main characteristics of the apparatus are represented in the part that characterizes it of the corresponding claim. As the most important advantages of the apparatus according to the invention can be mentioned the simplicity and the reliability of its construction and use, where very simple arrangements, for example when the preform of the swab is advantageously pre-heated during the extrusion, it is possible to obtain a contact uniform and continuous between the molten edge of the broom preform and the plastic paste to be extruded thereon. The brush holder collars that are manufactured by the apparatus are particularly homogeneous, thanks to which, the extrusion slot, which exists in the extrusion device belonging to the apparatus and the shape of which corresponds the shape of the swab preform, places the plastic paste in a shape already formed on the broom preform, in which case it may not solidify, for example eccentrically. The brush holder collars that are manufactured by the apparatus according to the invention are held together particularly well because the contact between the plastic paste forming the part of the frame and the preform of the swab forming the part of the swab is sufficiently efficient since the extrusion thanks to the preheating, thanks to the brush holder collars that are being manufactured by the device are also for homogeneity of the same also durable thanks to the strong structure of it. It is advantageous to operate the apparatus according to the invention, particularly in relation to a brush holder collar, in which the radially directed outer circle touch point of the brush part of the brush holder collar has been arranged to change within all of the extension of the brush holder collar to achieve a brushing sensation practically unbroken in the longitudinal direction of the planing machine for the object being brushed continuously regardless of the length of the swabs, when the brush holder collars forming the swab keep rotating around the longitudinal axis. The brushing resulting from this type of brush holder collar remains optimal with respect to the effect of brushing despite the wear of the brushes significantly larger than with the flat brushes present, which means in principle until the end of the swabs. Advantageous embodiments of the apparatus according to the invention are presented in the appended claims addressed to the apparatus.
In the following description, the invention is illustrated in more detail with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Figures la and Ib show sectional side views of a swab formed from conventional brush necklaces used slightly (a) and widely used ( b), Figure 2 shows an advantageous brush collar as a perspective view, Figure 3 shows the manufacture of a brush holder collar shown in Figure 2 seen in the longitudinal direction, Figures 4a and 4b show an extrusion frame of a The apparatus that exploits the method according to the invention as a front view and a side view, and Figures 5a and 5b show some surface arrangements of the advantageous counterparts of an apparatus that exploits the method according to the invention.
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a brush holder collar, by means of which the brush holder collar is proposed to be used in particular with different brush holder collars, such as a swab, which rotates w about a longitudinal axis s, a planing machine. The brush holder collar consists of a part of the swab 1 and a part formed by a ring or collar 2, which connects the brushes radially directed r forming the part of the swab 1, whose parts 1, 2 are formed as a uniform whole preferably of plastic-based material, and in which at least the retaining means 3 has been arranged to prevent the brush holder collar from twisting, when it has been assembled in place to the brush frame of the planing machine. The brush holder collar is manufactured from a practically elongated brush preform 1 ', in which the brushes are connected to each other by fusion, where the melt is located on the upper edge of the broom preform 1', it moves along a practically straight position, the plastic paste 2 'is being directed, ie in a practically solid state, to work the brush holder collar to its final shape by means of a press mold unit X forming the part of the frame 2 and preferably the holding means 3 from the plastic paste 2 '. The plastic paste 2 'being directed bent into an already finished form, such as through a U-shaped extrusion slot or correspondingly at the top of the melting edge l's of the broom preform 1', which is like an advantageous modality being preheated in the same connection. As a particularly advantageous embodiment, the extrusion device 4 feeding the solid plastic paste 2 ', such as an extruder or the like, comprises a heated and essentially elongated extrusion frame 4a within which the preform of the swab 1' is being directed through a conduit 4a 'that exists with this, particularly for the preheating of the melt edge l's of the swab preform 1' before extruding the plastic paste 2 'thereon. The principle described above can be observed in particular from FIGS. 4 a and 4 b, which show an extrusion frame on an extrusion device that exploits the method according to the invention as a front view and a side view. Furthermore, in the advantageous brush holder collars shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 the principles of the applicants of the earlier patent application Fl 963433, "arjakiekko" have been adapted, in which case the frame part 2 of the brush holder collar, the cross section of which is arranged to remain essentially constant through and in which the part of the swab 1 has been centrally joined have been arranged to project at least two places x to the sides from the ground level or the same, preference with a constant waveform., as an advantageous embodiment, the part of the frame 2 has been arranged to project sideways from the level of the floor or on one side if the same, only by exploiting a press mold unit Y called three-dimensional. In this case both the press molds XI of the press mold unit X are arranged by the surfaces of the same existing adjacent to the part of the frame 2 and the part of the swab 1 to project sideways if from the ground level or from the very advantageously in four places x. When comparing a swab formed of the brush holder collars according to the invention and the operation thereof particularly with an ordinary swab as shown in the figures la and Ib, it can be seen that the brush holder collar according to the invention can be be used in principle as long as an appropriate brushing effect can still be obtained with the swabs. When fitting ordinary brush holder collars, space collars are always necessary in principle between the brush holder collars placed one after another, which also indicates unsatisfactory operation of the normal flat brush holder collars in this sense, which due to the wear of the brooms with reference particularly to Figure Ib the contact surface represented by the external surface of the broom becomes very rapidly discontinuous. For example, the swab shown in Fig. Ib would not be more usable in most normal purposes and the swab as shown in the figure is also almost unsatisfactory in certain demanding purposes. Furthermore, as an advantageous embodiment of the method of the complete brush holder collar, that is to say, the swabs forming it part of the swab 1 thereof as well as the plastic paste 2 'forming the part of the rack thereof are made of recycled material and of Preference practically the same manufacture, as it can be polypropylene or similar. Furthermore, as an advantageous embodiment, the shape of the extrusion of the plastic paste 2 'being adjusted to correspond to the amplitude of the swab preform 1' of each brush holder collar to be manufactured by exploiting the extrusion frames 4a which are connected , for example in removable form to the extrusion device 4 and having mutually different U-shaped extrusion parts and / or ducts 4a '.
The apparatus for manufacturing the type of brush holder collars described above consists in this way in at least one extrusion frame 4a for feeding plastic paste 2 ', bent in an already finished form, as it may be through an extrusion slot in U-shaped or corresponding, on the broom preform 1 ', that is, preferably preheated in the same connection, after which the brush holder collar can be worked to its final form between the press mold unit X to form the part of the frame 2 and advantageously the holding means 3 also of the plastic paste 2 '. As an advantageous embodiment, the extrusion device 4 feeding solid plastic paste 2 'consists of an extrusion frame 4a and, particularly with reference to figure 4b, practically elongated to direct the extrusion preform' 1 'therein through the duct 4a 'or similar that exists with this, particularly to preheat the melting edge of the preform of the swab 1' before extruding the plastic paste 2 'thereon. As an advantageous embodiment, the extrusion slots U or ducts 4a 'belonging to the extrusion device 4 consist removably to the extrusion frame 4a to adjust, for example, the shape of the extrusion and / or the duct to correspond with the amplitude of the swab preform 1 'of each brush holder collar to be manufactured. In addition, with particular reference to Figure 4a, the extrusion frame 4a consists of a duct 4a 'existing in the lower part thereof, the width of which corresponds substantially to a. the amplitude of the preform of the swab 1 ', when viewed in a cross section. Furthermore, with reference to FIG. 4b, at the extrusion end I of the extrusion frame 4a, an extrusion slot U surrounding the conduit 4a 'has been arranged. Furthermore, as an advantageous embodiment, the brush holder collar has been worked into its final form by means of the press mold unit X, whereby the retaining means 3 is formed in the same connection, when the part of the frame 2 is being compressed to the press mold unit X by means of a counter-part surface arrangement 6 that exist in the press mold unit X, by means of which the retaining means 3 is formed by means of material coming from the part from frame 2 to this during compression. The counter surface area arrangement 6 has been arranged for the press mold unit X as a whole, i.e., connected separately thereto, particularly for preparing the brush holder collars with different retaining means 3 by changing the surface arrangement of against parts 6 and otherwise exploiting essentially the same press mold unit X.
Furthermore, as an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the countertop surface arrangement is particularly proposed for making a brush holder collar, which consists of a substantially circumferential frame part 2, when viewed in the longitudinal direction, in which case the retaining means 3 consists of at least one protrusion arrangement 3a which exists with these and, whereby the part of the swab 1 and the part of the frame 2 are completely made of recycle material and preferably practically the same manufacture, as It can be polypropylene and similar. With reference to the embodiments shown particularly in Figures 3, 5a and 5b, the counter-surface area arrangement 6 has been removably attached preferably to the lower press mold XI of the press mold unit X, preferably by means of a principle of rapid locking, such as by means of an interlocking joint of the shape, screw joint 5 and / or the corresponding. With particular reference to the advantageous embodiment shown in Figure 3, the arrangement of the counter-parts surface 6 has been arranged by a piece "against interchangeable part 6a which is placed practically at the point of the retaining means 3 in the press mold XI.In addition, as an advantageous embodiment, the arrangement of the counter-parts surface 6 can be arranged by a surface against an existing uniform interchangeable part. in the press mold XI, ie, for example continuously against the part of the frame 2 in the radial direction whereby it is formed as shown in figure 5a of a uniform circular ring 6a 'and as shown in figure 5b of , for example, a plate against practically uniform interchangeable part 6a ". As is evident, the invention is not limited to the modalities presented or described above, but can be modified within the basic idea even to a certain extent. In this case it is first possible to form the above-described type of brush holder collars of a frame part, i.e., for example, wider than the one presented and in which it has been attached, for example a single spiral brush or, that has been carried out by means of two or multiple threaded ends. It is also possible to exploit the principle described above on the other hand using a solution as shown in the drawings, in which the part of the frame consists of a structure having, for example, squares extending sideways instead of a structure that have a cross section that extends constantly. It is also possible to equip the brush holder collars according to the invention with auxiliary holding arrangements, operating by means of, for example, the female-male principle and being placed on the axially directed lateral surfaces of the parts of the frame thereof in which case surface arrangements of counter auxiliary parts for the same are naturally necessary. It is of course possible to produce a brush holder collar according to the invention from the most heterogeneous materials, exploiting more heterogeneous manufacturing methods, in which case the use of polypropylene as the manufacturing material of the brush holder collars has been represented as an example, alone, that is, however, a very appropriate alternative in this context.
