Abstract
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing of a brush ring, whereby the brush ring is intended to be used particularly with several corresponding brush rings as a brush, that rotates around a longitudinal axis, in a brushing machine. The brush ring consists of a brush part (1) and a ring shaped frame part (2), that connects the radially directed (r) brushes (1a) forming the brush part (1), which parts (1, 2) are formed as a uniform entirety preferably from plastic based material, and in which there has been arranged at least holding means (3) to prevent the brush ring from twisting, when the same has been assembled in place to the brush frame of the brushing machine. The brush ring is being manufactured from an essentially elongated brush preform (1'), in which the brushes (1a) are connected to each other by melting (1's), wherein on the melting (1's) existing at the top edge of the brush preform (1'), that moves along in an essentially upright position, plastic paste (2'), is being led, that is in an essentially solid state, to work the brush ring to its final shape by means of a press mold assembly (X) by forming the frame part (2) and preferably the holding means (3) from the said plastic paste (2'). The plastic paste (2') is being led bent in a ready finished shape, such as through a U-shaped extrusion groove (U) or correspondingly, on top of the melting edge (1's) of the brush preform (1'), that is as an advantageous embodiment being preheated in the same connection. The invention relates to an apparatus, also, that operates according to the method.
Description
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MAKING A BRUSH RING
The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of a brush or brush holder collar, by means of which it is proposed that the brush holder collar is used in particular with various corresponding brush holder collars such as a swab, which rotates about an axis longitudinal, in a brushing machine. The brush holder collar consists of a broom part and a ring-shaped part or collar, which connects the radially directed brushes forming the broom part, the parts of which form as a uniform whole preferably of plastic-based material, and in the which at least the retaining means have been arranged to prevent the brush holder collar from being twisted, when it has been assembled in place to the brushing frame of the planing machine with the other brush holder collars placed one after the other on the longitudinal direction. The brush holder collar is made of a practically elongated brush preform, in which the brushes are connected to each other by fusion, where in the fusion existing on the upper edge of the broom preform, which moves along in a practically straight position, the plastic paste is being driven, ie, in a practically solid state, to work the broom collar to its final shape by means of a press mold unit forming the part of the frame and preferably the holding means of the plastic raisin. The type of brush-bearing collars described above is used to form swabs on most heterogeneous sweeping trucks and planing machines. The brush holder collars currently used usually consist of a ring-shaped part frame or in other words, which has been bent into a circumferential shape, when viewed in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the brushes, and these are usually made of thin rolled iron, the thickness of which is for example about 1 mm and in which the brushes have been joined for example by means of the solidification of a suitable adhesive mass. This type of brush holder collars are commonly flat. This type of brush holder collars that are partially made of metal, tend to break particularly by the cold, which is due to the stiffening of the brushes. In such a case, these open in certain places of the laminated iron of the frame that supports the part of the brush of the brush holder collar, in which case larger or smaller units of the parts of the swab are released from the brush holder collar. Besides this, this problem is involved with the type of brush holder collars described above that have metal frames and plastic brushes, that the reuse of it is impossible in practice because, the separation of the laminated iron from the frame of the brushes it is not economically justified in practice. The arrangements that are explained in the patent in question to feed particularly the plastic paste on the upper part of the molten edge of the broom preform are insufficient when carried out in practice, this gives rise to that, this paste of plastic becomes eccentric on the broom preform. This also gives rise to the fact that the result, when the pressing of the swab preform is carried to the end brush holder collar, is not adequately homogeneous. These results can be significant disadvantages in practice when the brush holder collar is used in a planing machine where, for example the vibration is caused due to the lack of balance and in addition due to the superior wear and tear of the planer machine and the discomfort for The use of the machine are also caused. The objective of the method for the manufacture of a brush holder collar according to this invention is to obtain a decisive improvement in the problems presented before and in this way practically raise the level of knowledge in the field. To achieve this objective, the method according to the invention is mainly characterized in that the plastic paste being directed is bent into an easily finished form, such as through a U-shaped extrusion slot or, in correspondence , in a broom preform, preferably in the upper part of a melting edge of the broom preform, that is to say, being preheated in the same connection. As the most important advantages of the method, simplicity and reliability can be mentioned. Thanks to the invention it is first possible to produce brush holder collars, the manufacturing costs of which are significantly more profitable and which are more heterogeneous than the brush holder collars present particularly because, that the plastic paste which is bent in the form significantly improves the homogeneity of the brush holder collars beforehand, because the plastic paste that forms the part of the frame can not be eccentrically solidified. Thanks to the invention, the brush holder collars that are manufactured by this method are very easily usable by the user and particularly durable due to the homogeneity thereof. When the pre-heating of the broom preform is advantageously exploited, the method according to the invention further guarantees that the contact between the solid molten paste and the broom preform connecting the previous ones to each other is achieved reliably and effectively already during the situation, when the plastic paste is being extruded in the broom preform. The preheating described above also makes the rigidity of the molten edge of the broom preform balanced by the influence of heat, which also allows a uniform touch as possible between them and the plastic paste. Advantageous embodiments of the method according to the invention are presented in the appended claims directed to the method. The invention relates to an apparatus that operates in accordance with the principle of the method as well, which is being described in greater detail in the preamble of the independent claim related thereto. The main characteristics of the apparatus are represented in the part that characterizes it of the corresponding claim. As the most important advantages of the apparatus according to the invention can be mentioned the simplicity and the reliability of its construction and use, where very simple arrangements, for example when the preform of the swab is advantageously pre-heated during the extrusion, it is possible to obtain a contact uniform and continuous between the molten edge of the broom preform and the plastic paste to be extruded thereon. The brush holder collars that are manufactured by the apparatus are particularly homogeneous, thanks to which, the extrusion slot, which exists in the extrusion device belonging to the apparatus and the shape of which corresponds the shape of the swab preform, places the plastic paste in a shape already formed on the broom preform, in which case it may not solidify, for example eccentrically. The brush holder collars that are manufactured by the apparatus according to the invention are held together particularly well because the contact between the plastic paste forming the part of the frame and the preform of the swab forming the part of the swab is sufficiently efficient since the extrusion thanks to the preheating, thanks to the brush holder collars that are being manufactured by the device are also for homogeneity of the same also durable thanks to the strong structure of it. It is advantageous to operate the apparatus according to the invention, particularly in relation to a brush holder collar, in which the radially directed outer circle touch point of the brush part of the brush holder collar has been arranged to change within all of the extension of the brush holder collar to achieve a brushing sensation practically unbroken in the longitudinal direction of the planing machine for the object being brushed continuously regardless of the length of the swabs, when the brush holder collars forming the swab keep rotating around the longitudinal axis.
