Abstract

Un método y aparatos para controlar la potencia de transmision en un sistema de comunicaciones de proporcion variable. Una estacion de base (30) monitorea la señal de enlace inverso transmitida a partir de una estacion movil (50). La estacion de base (30) determina si una estacion movil (50) debe incrementar o disminuir su potencia en base ya sea a las tasas de error de las series de bits detectadas por un decodificador (44) o por el nivel de potencia de la señal recibida detectada en un receptor (42). En respuesta a este análisis, un procesador de control (46) genera una señal de control de potencia y transmite esta señal a la estacion movil (30).
