Abstract

Una composición adhesiva de fusión en caliente, sin agentes de adherencia, comprende un copolímero de propileno de alto peso molecular, catalizado en un solo sitio, amorfo, preferentemente con un peso molecular promedio en peso (Mw) superior a 80,000 g/mol; un copolímero de propileno de bajo peso molecular, catalizado en un solo sitio, semicristalino, preferentemente con un Mw menos de 60,000 g/mol; y poliisobuteno. La composición puede incluir opcionalmente un plastificante, un copolímero rico en buteno y un antioxidante. El adhesivo de fusión en caliente es especialmente útil para unir sustratos que se expanden o se alargan significativamente durante el uso. Dichos usos incluyen adherir polímeros superabsorbentes a un sustrato o unir dos sustratos, al menos uno de los cuales tiene polímeros superabsorbentes, como las capas de un núcleo absorbente de un artículo higiénico desechable, como un pañal.
