Abstract

La presente solicitud proporciona, entre otros, anticuerpos o fragmentos de unión a antígeno de los mismos, dirigidos al GRP78 de superficie celular expresado en células tumorales, células tumorales endoteliales y células cancerosas en estadío inicial. Estos anticuerpos anti-GRP78 y fragmentos de unión a antígeno de los mismos, tienen una alta afinidad por GRP78 y son menos inmunogénicos en comparación a sus anticuerpos precursores no modificados en una especie determinada, por ejemplo la humana, y funcionan para inhibir GRP78. De forma relevante, estos nuevos anticuerpos aislados y fragmentos de unión a antígeno de los mismos, atenúan la señalización PI3K y promueven la apoptosis en células tumorales, mientras que al mismo tiempo no afectan a las células normales. Estos anticuerpos y fragmentos de unión a antígeno de los mismos son útiles para tratamientos terapéuticos para el cáncer dirigidos a UPR.
