Abstract

Se describe una batería que tiene una vida mejorada. Específicamente se describe una batería que comprende: un elemento (21) de generación de energía eléctrica en el cual se apilan una o más capas de celdas unitarias, cada una que se constituye laminando o apilando secuencialmente un electrodo positivo, un electrolito y un electrodo negativo; una primera placa (25) colectora que se proporciona sobre la superficie del electrodo positivo más externo del elemento (21) de generación de energía eléctrica; una segunda placa (27) colectora que se proporciona sobre la superficie del electrodo negativo más externo del elemento (21) de generación de energía eléctrica; una porción (41), (42) convexa o protuberante provista sobre la primera placa (25) colectora y/o la segunda placa (27) colectora con una anchura que es no menos que la mitad de la anchura de los bordes extremos de la placa (25), (27) colectora; y una terminal (44), (45) que se une a la porción (41), (42) convexa para recuperar corriente eléctrica de la porción (41), (42) convexa.
