"Duane Dewey courageously served our nation in the Korean War and his heroism saved lives. After returning home and receiving the Congressional Medal of Honor, he spent his life encouraging his fellow veterans with his story. Renaming the VA Clinic in Cadillac in his honor is fitting so Michigan residents will remember his bravery. I am grateful my legislation to keep his legacy alive was signed into law,” said Moolenaar.

"The Mecosta County Commissioners’ decision to end support for Gotion is yet another sign that the people of Mecosta County do not want Gotion. The company has troubling ties to the CCP and relies on forced labor in China in its supply chains. The Department of Defense even refuses to do business with Gotion because it poses a threat to our national security. The people of Mecosta County have made it clear multiple times they do not want Gotion in our community and they do not want their tax dollars going to a CCP-affiliated company. The state of Michigan, the MEDC, and Gotion should listen to the people and end this project once and for all,” said Congressman John Moolenaar.
