Journal of Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities reports on the scholarly progress of work to understand, address, and ultimately eliminate health disparities based on race and ethnicity. Efforts to explore underlying causes of health disparities and to describe interventions that have been undertaken to address racial and ethnic health disparities are featured. Promising studies that are ongoing or studies that have longer term data are welcome, as are studies that serve as lessons for best practices in eliminating health disparities. Original research articles as well as evolutionary reviews presenting the state-of-the-art thinking on problems centered on health disparities will be considered for publication.
The Journal of Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities is currently recruiting up to 3 new Associate Editors. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an academic individual with a solid research background in health policy and health disparities to contribute to the journal's growth and impact. The Associate Editor will play a critical role in the oversight and administration of a thorough and professional peer review process, helping to ensure high-quality content is published consistently and on time. As one of the most enduring and complex social problems in the world, poverty, and its eradication, must be addressed through a variety of research and practice domains including social, behavioral, and public health perspectives. Our journal is calling for submissions to a multi-journal collection exploring this significant global issue.
