Abstract
This chapter, entitled “Possibilities of implementing the learning organization ideas with regard to cultural specificities” from the third part of the book Managing Learning Enterprises, entitled “Possibilities of implementing the concept of a learning organization and enterprise,” analyzes the possibilities of implementing the learning organization philosophy through the prism of Hofstede’s model of cultural differences. The Nordic model was identified as the most appropriate model for implementing the ideas of the learning organization. However, the challenges encountered in this and other regions pose a significant threat to the development of these ideas. It is also emphasized that the characteristics of cultural dimensions by country, as defined by Hofstede, should be taken with caution, especially considering the example of European integrations or the construction of the European Union, which involves a high level of migration of people. Possibilities of implementing learning organization ideas have also been explored in other cultures such as Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and the Caribbean. Paradoxes when researching the characteristics of the culture of a particular country or society and the behavior of individuals in certain situations have also been identified.
