From (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Albanian *laurā, a rebuilt form after the stem in -eh₂, from (deprecated template usage) [etyl] Proto-Indo-European *leh₁u- (“stone”). Cognate to Ancient Greek (Hom.) λᾶας (lâas, “stone”) and Old Irish lie (“stone”) and perhaps Old Armenian լեառն (leaṙn).[2]
