Major events
- Gladion uses Type: Null to battle the Ultra Beasts, which it does with ease as it was created by the Aether Foundation specifically for that purpose.
- Gladion reveals that Lusamine is the one behind the Ultra Beasts incidents and dreams of making a paradise just for her and the Ultra Beasts she loves.
- Moon arrives at Po Town and asks Gladion if he's telling the truth.
- A Xurkitree appears from an Ultra Wormhole and begins attacking everyone while a Nihilego also appears and drags Guzma with it into another Ultra Wormhole.
- The other four Ultra Beasts escape Po Town's barrier and begin causing havoc around Ula'ula Island.
- The Captains ask Gladion to help them, but he refuses and heads off.
- Sun and Moon stay behind while the Captains head off to rescue any people caught in the danger.
- The people of Ula'ula are evacuated to Hokulani Observatory for shelter while Molayne and Sophocles keep watch on them.
- Sophocles decides to use an invention of his to keep the Ultra Beasts away from the observatory.
- Sun collects a Zygarde Cell.
- Moon's Grubbin is revealed to have evolved into a Charjabug.
- Sun reveals the reason he needs to collect money is to buy back the island the Aether Foundation stole from his great-grandfather.
- Anabel and Looker, members of the International Police, arrive to question Sun and Moon.
