Campaign website
Junge’s campaign website stated the following:
“ |
PAUL JUNGE Economy Fair Trade, Fewer Regulations, Lower Taxes Paul Junge will always insist that all trade agreements benefit American workers first. He will fight for Congress to incentivize companies to bring operations back to the U.S. and invest in states like Michigan which have been harmed by the jobs shipped overseas – and he won’t stop until it’s done. Paul will fight for fewer government regulations and lower taxes so businesses can invest in expansion and new technologies, and families can keep more of their hard-earned dollars. Immigration Secure the Border, Stop Illegal Drug Flow Paul Junge was a President Trump appointee at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, where he proudly fought to enforce our immigration laws to keep our country safe. Paul will fight to secure the border, build the wall, stop the deadly flow of illegal drugs like fentanyl, which is claiming lives at a horrific pace, and crack down on the tragedy of human trafficking. Energy An All-Of-the-Above Approach Paul Junge will fight for programs designed to protect the Great Lakes. Nationally, Paul supports an “all of the above” energy approach that includes more exploration, natural gas, nuclear, renewables, and safe pipelines like Line 5. Paul encourages private sector innovation toward renewable energy sources rather than government mandates resulting in higher taxes and job-killing regulations. Foreign Policy Defend American Lives, Support Israel When Americans are attacked anywhere in the world, the U.S. must always respond to the threat. Further, America’s strong support for Israel reinforces our traditional bond and demonstrates that we stand with our freedom-loving allies. Paul will fight on the side of those who understand that terrorism can never be tolerated. America must always be a strong country ready to protect our interests, safeguard our people and stand up for our values. The U.S. military is the finest in the world and in Congress Paul will always work to make sure our men and women in uniform have the training and equipment they need to perform the well defined missions we ask them to undertake. Agriculture Supporting Michigan Farmers Paul Junge understands that Michigan’s agriculture industry is large and diverse. He will work to open foreign markets to Michigan products, reduce the regulatory burden so farmers can focus on farming, support American energy to ensure affordable energy, and lower the tax burden to encourage expansion and investment. Health Care A Patient-Centered Approach Paul Junge supports a patient-centered approach that focuses on the doctor-patient relationship and protecting those with pre-existing conditions. He supports improving efficiency through health savings accounts, combating lawsuit abuse, and allowing individuals and small businesses to join forces for better rates. Paul will fight for lower out-of-pocket costs by increasing the availability of generics, speeding up the FDA approval process, and providing greater price transparency. Social Security & Medicare Promises to Keep Paul Junge will keep the promise of Social Security and Medicare. For too long, politicians recklessly raided the Social Security Trust Fund. Paul will fight for fiscal responsibility in Washington DC and ensure Medicare provides seniors with the coverage and options they need to live a healthy retirement. Education Prepare Students, Empower Parents As the son of a teacher, Paul Junge knows parental involvement is critical and wants educators to receive the support they deserve to teach the next generation of Americans. Paul will defend the rights of Michigan parents to educate their children as they see fit – in public, religious, private, or charter schools, or at home, opposes the woke agenda politicizing our schools, and strongly supports local control instead of dictates from Washington DC bureaucrats. Veterans Honoring Their Service Paul Junge will fight to keep our promises to the veterans who have sacrificed so much to keep our nation safe. From making sure they have the healthcare they deserve to being properly recognized for their service and valor, Paul will make sure veterans receive the dignity and respect they earned. The Constitution Defending Our God-Given Rights Paul Junge is a strong supporter of the Second Amendment and opposes efforts to infringe on lawful gun ownership. He believes in the culture of life and knows that a child is a precious gift from God. Paul will fight to protect and defend all of our constitutional rights.[2] |

Collapse all
|Paul worked in his family business that maintained housing for military families, created over 500 jobs, and supported working families. Additionally, Paul was a deputy district attorney who worked in the domestic violence unit to protect battered women and abused children. He was the Fox47 television news anchor in Lansing. And most recently, he worked in the Trump Administration at U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, to stop illegal immigration and secure our borders. I am running for Congress to defend the values that make America strong to help our families, promote freedom and opportunity, and secure our Constitutional rights. My priorities are bringing jobs back to Michigan, removing burdensome regulations, and improving our broken infrastructure.
Support our families and a strong economy by opposing tax increases, stopping costly liberal regulations, and cutting wasteful spending to move toward a balanced budget.
Defend our citizens and sovereignty by banning sanctuary cities and securing our border to stop illegal immigration.
- Stand up to China by removing critical supply chains, particularly for pharmaceuticals, and bringing those jobs back to Michigan.
Conservative
A government-run approach will lead to rationing and delayed care. The key to healthcare is a patient-centered approach that focuses on the doctor-patient relationship. I will insist on protecting people with pre-existing conditions and improving efficiency within the system through health savings accounts, combating lawsuit abuse, and allowing individuals and small businesses to join together for better rates. We must also make prescription drugs more affordable. I support efforts that will actually lower out-of-pocket costs by increasing the availability of generics, speeding up the FDA approval process, and providing greater price transparency.
My commitment to building a strong, healthy economy; securing the border; standing up to China; and representing our values are clear. I am glad to find common ground so we can move our country forward to make citizens more safe, secure, and successful.
Priority one to address deficit spending is rebuilding our economy, which will increase job creation, investment, and business development, and that activity will generate more tax revenues. Step two is limiting the growth of spending so government can move closer to living within its means.
The economy and jobs, border security, the Second Amendment, protecting life, fixing our broken infrastructure, and affordable, quality healthcare.
I believe experience can enable a representative to potentially be more effective on day one. My work particular to Congress was serving as an investigative counsel on the Senate Judiciary Committee, fighting to make government bureaucracy more accountable.
China is the greatest threat to the United States, as both an economic and national security adversary. China's goal is to be the most influential nation in all aspects of life, and the international order. We must stop China from stealing U.S. intellectual property and reduce our dependence on supply chains in their country.
