Bumstead (Republican Party) ran for re-election to the Michigan State Senate to represent District 32. He won in the general election on November 8, 2022.
Bumstead is a former Republican member of the Michigan House of Representatives, representing District 100 from 2011 to 2017. He did not seek re-election to the Michigan House of Representatives in 2016 due to term limits.
Biography
Jon Bumstead lives in North Muskegon, Michigan. Bumstead's career experience includes owning Bumstead Construction. He served as the president of the Safari Club International’s Michigan chapter and as a volunteer firefighter with the Newaygo Area Fire and Rescue Command.[1]

Bumstead won election to the District 100 seat in 2010. He defeated Jane Drake, Marc Libants and Scott Tillman in the August 3 Republican primary. He defeated Bill Richards (D) in the general election on November 2, 2010.[11][12]
