Brett Davis (b. December 5, 1975) was a Republican member of the Wisconsin State Assembly. He represented the 80th District since 2005.

In February 2010, Davis announced he would be running for Wisconsin Lieutenant Governor.[1]

Davis has worked as a policy assistant for Governor Tommy G. Thompson, special assistant for Secretary Tommy G. Thompson - United States Department of Health and Human Services, and legislative assistant for Wisconsin State Assembly member Mike Powers.

He is a member of the Dane County Republican Party, Farm Bureau, Friends of Cadiz Springs State Park, Green County Conservation League, Green County Republican Party, Monroe Kiwanis, Monroe Noon Optimists, Oregon-Brooklyn Lions Club, and the Rock County Republican Party.[2]

On his campaign site Davis lists for main legislative priorities:[3]

  • Bringing Jobs Home - "Getting our economy moving forward again must be our top priority. Investing in worker training, reducing property taxes, controlling government spending, and providing incentives for small businesses to grow will put us back on the path to prosperity."
  • Keeping More Money in your Family Checkbook - "When Wisconsin families are struggling to pay for groceries, gas and mortgages, it’s the wrong time to raise their taxes...This is the wrong direction for Wisconsin and I will work to make living in our community affordable by fighting these tax increases."
  • Affordable Healthcare - "Health care costs continue to strain not only family budgets, but our entire economy. Fixing our economy and reforming our health care system go hand-in-hand."
  • Keeping Kids in Great Schools - "A strong economy depends on a strong public education system. That’s why I support keeping state aid to local school districts as the state’s top budget priority. they will make ends meet."
