Born and raised as the eldest of three daughters, I come from a family where the value of public service was instilled early on. My father taught in public schools for over 30 years, and my mother's dedicated service on the local school board for 12 years profoundly influenced my passion for education.

After moving to Alaska in 2008, I quickly fell in love with its people, culture, and unparalleled natural beauty. Since then, I’ve started a successful business and earned a master's degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage; I've made Alaska my home, embracing its outdoor opportunities and actively engaging in community service. However, witnessing the state's recent decline has fueled my determination to enact positive change.

I'm committed to addressing critical issues such as funding public education, improving wages and benefits for state workers, and tackling our structural deficit head-on. My relentless work ethic and unwavering dedication make me the ideal candidate to represent our community's interests in Juneau.

I believe in the power of collaboration and solution-oriented strategies and am eager to work alongside fellow Alaskans to build a brighter future for our state. With your support, we can overcome these challenges and keep Alaska thriving.

  • Funding Public Education - Prioritizing resources to strengthen Alaska's education system and provide every child with a quality education.
  • Competitive Wages and Benefits for Public Workers - Attracting and retaining a skilled workforce by offering competitive compensation and benefits.
  • Fixing the Structural Deficit - Addressing Alaska's fiscal challenges to secure a stable financial future and ensure long-term prosperity.

My first job was at a small restaurant in my hometown. I started working at age 14 as a dishwasher, then as a waitress and short-order cook, and I worked there for ten years.

Alaska has been more than just a home to me — it's been a place of immense opportunity. I’ve grown a successful business, married my husband, Scott, and live in a historic log cabin in Turnagain. Alaska has given me so much, and my decision to run for office is driven by a deep desire to give back to our great state.

I see the challenges we face — our declining fiscal situation, deteriorating education system, and workforce exodus — and I'm determined to make a change. With your support, I'll focus on funding public education, ensuring competitive wages and benefits for state workers, and fixing our structural deficit to build a stronger, better Alaska.

Scorecards

See also: State legislative scorecards and State legislative scorecards in Alaska

A scorecard evaluates a legislator’s voting record. Its purpose is to inform voters about the legislator’s political positions. Because scorecards have varying purposes and methodologies, each report should be considered on its own merits. For example, an advocacy group’s scorecard may assess a legislator’s voting record on one issue while a state newspaper’s scorecard may evaluate the voting record in its entirety.

Ballotpedia is in the process of developing an encyclopedic list of published scorecards. Some states have a limited number of available scorecards or scorecards produced only by select groups. It is Ballotpedia’s goal to incorporate all available scorecards regardless of ideology or number.
