Campaign website
Hamilton’s campaign website stated the following:
“ |
Secure the Southern Border “…Whenever I use the word republic with approbation, I mean a government in which the people have collectively, or by representation, an essential share in the sovereignty…” -John Adams As a division director at the Department of Homeland Security, I saw firsthand the devastating effect Joe Biden’s administration has wrecked on our southern border. Border crossings are at record highs, incentivized by our leaders in Washington. As a result, drug and human trafficking are on the rise leaving our national security at risk. Congress must use the power of the purse to force meaningful border security and end this crisis. Holding Our Own Party Accountable "Every government degenerates when trusted to the rulers of the people alone. The people themselves, therefore, are its only safe depositories." –Thomas Jefferson Our leaders in Washington, D.C. have lost the trust of the American people. Republicans and Democrats alike have sold out their values for the sake of power, influence, and their own reelections. I’ve pledged to join the House Freedom Caucus in Congress because I believe in standing up for the best interests of the American people, even when it means pushing back on members of our own party. Lower Cost of Living “Great nations are never impoverished by private, though they sometimes are by public prodigality and misconduct.” -Adam Smith Joe Biden’s administration has crippled the economic outlook of families in Virginia’s 7th and across the country. Reckless spending drives rampant inflation, driving the cost of goods and services through the roof while decreasing the spending power of our dollars. In Congress, I will work to bring down inflation by engaging in fiscal conservatism, lift regulation, and empower our economy to thrive by restricting government intrusion of the administrative state. Budgetary Reform in Congress "To preserve our independence, we must not let our rulers load us with perpetual debt." -Thomas Jefferson Every year, our elected officials band together to pass massive multi-issue spending packages that drive up our federal budgetary deficit, increase our national debt, and saddle our next generations with a burden they will be unable to bear. I do not support irresponsible continuing resolutions or an omnibus packages. I willadvocate for clean, single-issue bills that allow specific considerations of individual programs and a return to zero-base budgeting. This will also enable Americans to audit the functions of their government. Strengthen Our Military and Serve Our Veterans "The defense policy of the United States is based on a simple premise: The United States does not start fights. We will never be an aggressor. We maintain our strength in order to deter and defend against aggression -- to preserve freedom and peace." -Ronald Reagan The status of our military under the Biden administration is alarming, as demonstrated by the disastrous withdrawal from Afghanistan and depletion of our munitions due to the war in Ukraine. Our armed forces have historically low recruitment levels, and our military needs to be rebuilt and strengthened immediately. We must always maintain our commitment to the men and women who have served our nation, providing them with the best care and benefits for the debt our nation owes them. Protect Individual Liberty “Give me liberty or give me death!” -Patrick Henry As a man of faith, I believe that our rights and liberties are given by God and simply protected by the Constitution. I will always vote to protect the individual rights described in our founding documents. For years, our Government has enacted unconstitutional mandates, penalized businesses and infringed on the liberties and livelihoods of everyday Americans. In Congress, I will defend your liberty, reduce government intrusion, and pledge to never take a vote that goes against the Constitution. Preserve Farming and Food Infrastructure “Agriculture is our wisest pursuit, because it will in the end contribute most to real wealth, good morals, and happiness.” -Thomas Jefferson No Farms…No Food. Our farming and food production industries have undergone significant strain at the hands of Joe Biden’s administration. Over-regulation and a focus on ludicrous climate initiatives have ignored the true needs of our farmers. It is the obligation of a responsible public to ensure that farmers and growers are supported in preserving our food supply. Restrict Government Overreach “There are more instances of the abridgment of the freedom of the people by gradual and silent encroachments of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations.” -James Madison The regulatory state has run rampant in a way our Founding Fathers would never have imagined possible. I want to get the federal government out of our lives and empower the American people to achieve prosperity through their own liberty. From small business regulation to the Second Amendment, our country will prosper more with less government intrusion. Improve Education for our Children "If Virtue & Knowledge are diffused among the People, they will never be enslaved. This will be their great Security." -Samuel Adams Political propaganda has replaced educational development in our classrooms. Many in our society suffer from a lack of critical thinking skills, and the development of those skills begins in the classroom. We need to remove politics and propaganda from our schools, reduce or eliminate federal involvement, return to teaching how to think instead of what to think, and ensure that our children receive the world-class education they deserve. Support First Responders “Every day, First Responders put their own lives on the line to ensure our safety. The least we can do is make sure they have the tools to protect and serve their communities” -Joe Lieberman As a division director of EMS at Homeland Security, my job was to provide support to our first responders across the country. Unfortunately, many elected officials today have abandoned our First Responders and Law Enforcement Officers. They are the bed rock of providing safe communities for our families to live in. In Congress, I will always support our law enforcement and first responders with the respect and gratitude they deserve. [2] |

Defense of Individual Liberty
“Give me liberty or give me death!” - Patrick Henry
Defending the liberty of our people is a sacred duty and responsibility of all Americans. Our government must remind itself that power and vested authority comes from a social contract with the governed. Infringement of Individual liberty such as the First Amendment, Second Amendment and many others will lead to a destruction of our way of life, and is a direct violation of the framework of this nation.
