今年もSIGGRAPH 2007の看板イベント「コンピュータ・アニメーション・フェスティバル」(CAF)が開催された。 SIGGRAPHでは、毎年、プロ、アマ、個人、企業を問わず、広くコンピュータ・グラフィックスを駆使した映像作品を公募しており、集まった作品のなかから優秀なものを「コンピュータ・アニメーション・フェスティバル」の会場にて一般公開している。 一般入選作品は「Animation Theater」として中小規模の部屋で公開され、その入選作からさらに優秀な作品がチョイスされ、大劇場にて「Electronic Theater」(ET)として公開されている。 ET入選作はジョージ・ルーカスのILMや、ピクサーといった世界トップCG企業から、大学卒業レベルの個人作までバラエティに富んでおり、ETはまさにオムニバスCG映画祭と呼ぶにふさわしいイベントだ。 企業入選作は、その年の
