Train from Dublin to Galway options

We're planning on traveling from Dublin to Galway mid-week, closest station looks like Pearse but it also seems that Heuston is the major station we're doing the bulk of the ride from. https://www.irishrail.ie isn't letting me book Pearse -> Ceannt, and some bus/local rail connections look a little tight. What's the best way to do this? [more inside]

Best way to get from CDG to New Hotel Saint Lazare?

Hi, I need to get from Charles de Gaulle to New Hotel Saint Lazare in Paris, next Monday around 18:30. My French is très so-so and I have mobility issues (it's painful for me to walk long distances or stand for more than a few minutes at a time). A pre-ordered Uber is like €100, and the better-rated pre-booked airport taxis are even more. Cheaper airport taxis (e.g., G7, Alpha taxis, around €65) are rated very low on Google. What do you think my best option is?

Train-ing Raleigh to Hartford, current Amtrak bike policies?

I'm travelling from Raleigh to Hartford on multiple lines next week and would like to bring my bike. I don't want to box it up. I found some old AskMes about checking bikes on Amtrak, the couple of people I've asked say it depends on the line. But I can't find line-specific policy on the site. Just multiple policies stating that checking and carrying on is possible, depending on the line. Is there anywhere online that has documented this or is there a best approach to verify?

Recognize this electric, pedal-assisted train concept?

This illustration of the concept for an electric, pedal-assisted train concept hangs at the delightfully quirky Madsonian Museum of Industrial Design in Waitsfield, Vermont. It's a concept for an "electric, pedal-assisted train," apparently part of a scheme called Transit Lite. I can find absolutely no other information about this anywhere, and my curiosity is piqued. The illustration looks like it dates to the 80s. "STJ+LC" is written on the side, a reference to Vermont's St. Johnsbury and Lamoille County Railroad, but may have been a later addition to the illustration. Anyone know anything more?

Best (UK) lard to give as a present

Is there an easier way to do this, maybe by going to La Linea de la Concepcion in Spain? Thanks for your help! (FYI, not looking to change our itinerary, just want suggestions on how best to do it. Very happy for suggestions on what to do in each place.)
