Training
TOP-IX, with its extensive experience, is committed to anticipating the needs of the workforce by offering specific training courses.
We offer courses with a strong “hands-on” component, aiming to anticipate the demands of the workforce
In a world of continuous and rapid change, it’s essential to update one’s skills to be prepared for the ongoing transformations. In this context, even educational models must adapt and innovate to respond promptly to the needs of the workforce.
On the one hand, large companies constantly face the inefficiency (e.g., in terms of time required) of traditional personnel scouting and selection models, while on the other hand, startups require individuals to be quickly integrated into production processes.
Whether it’s about data, networks, or software, there is an increasing need for educational offerings capable of cultivating “on-the-field” skills.
In this field, TOP-IX has developed a decade-long experience, striving to anticipate the demands of the workforce and providing training programs with a strong “hands-on” component.

Over the years, TOP-IX has supported the creation of different formats for training courses, which alternate between classroom lectures (whether in person or remote online) and a strong practical application component.
The company’s experience in the field of training can be divided into four main areas:
- Data
- Network
- Development
- Other sectors
These macro areas represent different specialized fields in which participants in training courses can acquire specific knowledge or skills.
It’s the data analysis course aimed at the world of volleyball. A training program born with the goal of developing a data-driven culture within volleyball organizations, targeting scouts, coaches, data enthusiasts, data scientists, and sports executives.
Volley Data Analyst course is an initiative organized by Wylab in collaboration with TOP-IX.
A training program designed to raise awareness among International Cooperation operators on Data Science and Civic Technologies, to increase participants’ awareness of data culture, and ultimately to support them in the implementation of Data-Driven projects.
CorDATA is an initiative conceived by TOP-IX (lead partner), Fondazione ISI, Moxoff, and HeartInData, supported by Fondazione Cariplo and Fondazione Compagnia di San Paolo within the Innovation for Development program.
Intensive training program designed to train experienced professionals in the management and valorization of large volumes of data (i.e., BIG DATA). The participants tackle the topics of Data Science, Visualization, and Development through classroom lectures and the development of real projects.
Developed in collaboration with Fondazione ISI, TODO, and Axant, the training program is delivered in an open version (annual – for classes – subject to application) and a custom version (for organizations with tailor-made design of the training content).
Dedicated training to assist Consortium members on operational and developmental issues of their network with the skills available within our networking group, as well as to promote ongoing training among the members to stay updated with the latest developments in interconnection technologies and networking in general.
Implemented by TOP-IX with Reiss Romoli as partner.
The TOP-IX Consortium organizes network update courses for its members and affiliates. The courses are conducted in partnership with Reiss Romoli. Among the topics covered:
- MPLS Course: The course includes an introduction to the fundamental aspects of MPLS, the paradigms on which it is based, its integration with Layer 2 networks, and the main supported services. In addition to theoretical sessions, a substantial practical part is included for configuring MPLS routers in Cisco IOS XE/XR environment, and laboratory simulations of MPLS backbone and related services are conducted.
- BGP Course, from theory to practice: The course provides theoretical and practical skills on the BGP protocol and includes significant hands-on activities in a laboratory environment consisting of multivendor routers, where situations similar to real-world scenarios are simulated.
- Network Automation Course: The aim of the course is to provide an overview of Network Automation techniques in the ICT world and delve into the use of some tools within real-life situations. Among the technologies borrowed from the IT field, network automation certainly plays a very important role. The lesson learned from cloud data centers about rationalizing deployment and provisioning times has been successfully implemented in the networking world, leading to a significant step forward in how network devices are managed.
The program is designed to meet the needs of unemployed individuals or those employed part-time. re/Start is a proprietary format of Amazon Web Services.
TOP-IX and Engim Piemonte – Artigianelli Torino are the local operational partners in Italy.
