Throughout the year, The Midnight partners with corporate and individual volunteers throughout Los Angeles to celebrate major holidays with individuals and families experiencing homelessness.
Our Easter, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Celebrations (including Christmas Eve and Christmas Day) are excellent opportunities for large groups to volunteer. Included with the many services we provide for our homeless and near-homeless guests, is the feeling of belonging and family.
On Easter and Thanksgiving, The Midnight closes off a city block to provide a traditional holiday meal to our guests and to distribute food bags and donated clothing. On Christmas Eve, volunteers help us to transform our Day Room into Santa’s Village. On Christmas Day, thousands of homeless men, women, and children are welcomed for a hearty Christmas brunch. Concurrently, The Midnight hosts Santa’s Village where thousands of homeless and near-homeless children will be able to select toys of their choice and meet Santa Claus.
