In Module 1: Screening & Assessment, you will learn from five experts on the topics of (1) problem gambling helplines and their role in problem gambling treatment, (2) best practices in screening, assessment, and diagnosis for Gambling Disorder, including establishing a therapeutic alliance, (3) how individual symptoms predict the stability and progression of Gambling Disorder, and (4) how to screen clients for Gambling Disorder using the Brief Biosocial Gambling Screen.
In Module 2: Treatment Part 1: Identifying High-Risk Gambling and Engaging in Treatment, you will learn from three experts on the topics of (1) problem gambling risk factors and absent treatment demand in Massachusetts, (2) primary motivations for, and barriers to, treatment for problem gambling, and (3) concrete suggestions for engaging individuals in treatment for problem gambling.
In Module 3: Treatment Part 2: Evidence-based Approaches to Treating Problem Gambling, you will learn from three experts on the topics of (1) individual and group cognitive behavioral therapy for problem gambling, (2) pharmacotherapy for gambling, and (3) personalized feedback interventions for problem gambling.
In Module 4: Treatment Part 3: Relapse Prevention and Recovery Support, you will learn from four experts on the topics of (1) relapse prevention for problem gambling, (2) pharmacotherapy for gambling, and (3) voluntary self-exclusion from casino gambling.
In Module 5: Special Populations, you will learn from six experts on the topics of (1) preventing and treating problem gambling among adolescents and young adults, (2) problem gambling among military service members and veterans, and (3) gambling and problem gambling among athletes.
In Module 6: Understanding Co-morbidities, you will learn from five experts on the topics of (1) integrated treatment of problem gambling and other expressions of addiction, (2) gambling and self-harm, and (3) dialectical behavior therapy for concurrent treatment of alcohol use disorders, gambling, and other expressions of addiction.
In Module 7: Implementing Racial Equity, you will learn from five experts on the topics of (1) reducing barriers to behavioral health treatment among minoritized groups, (2) recruiting and retaining a diverse, culturally competent behavioral health workforce, and (3) promoting gambling wellness to culturally diverse communities.
In Module 8: Understanding Social Determinants of Health, you will learn from six experts on the topics of (1) family and social support integration in problem gambling treatment, (2) problem gambling within the context of poverty, and (3) problem gambling in the Latino/Hispanic population.
In Module 9: Promoting and Providing Problem Gambling Services to Asian American and Pacific Islander Communities, you will learn from four experts on the topics of (1) casino gambling in the Boston Chinatown Community, (2) engaging Asian Americans in problem gambling treatment, (3) gambling among migrants, and (4) older Asian immigrant experiences with gambling.
In Module 10: Promoting and Providing Problem Gambling Services to Latinx Communities, you will learn from four experts on the topics of (1) why Hispanic individuals call problem gambling helplines, (2) historical trauma and culturally responsive care for Latinx individuals, (3) impacts of legalized gambling on the Latinx community, and (4) special considerations for Latinx communities in problem gambling prevention and treatment.
