These past few months have been absolute hell, and with no other income, I've been relying on the kindness of others to get by.

I am in desperate need of that kindness again, because even though I managed to pay my rent and basic utilities for the month, I still need help to get groceries and pay my credit card bill which is, unfortunately, due before I receive my welfare again on March 31st.

But despite these small moments of entertainment, the reality in Gaza is far from fun. We live day by day in complete darkness, no electricity, no internet, and no aid reaching us.

The crossing is closed, and we watch as hope slips away day by day. Nothing is coming. We are stuck in these tragic circumstances. There is no food to keep our children alive, and we have nothing but pain and fear. Hunger is tearing us apart, and we watch our children suffer in front of us, unable to do anything.

I am Kareman, a Palestinian mother from Gaza and a teacher. I used to be awarded "Best Teacher" every year, always striving to be an inspiration for my students. But today, even education has become a distant dream because of the dire situation we face. We are truly living in a catastrophe, and hunger and fear are overwhelming our lives.

However, I'm in desperate need of that kindness again, as I was overdrawn quite a lot last month, and so I had to choose paying my rent and basic utilities instead of my bills & credit card, so I'm currently struggling to pay them off. We try to live under miserable conditions in tents in Mawasi Khan Yunis, south of Gaza. It is difficult for me to find the words to describe what we face every day in Gaza. No food, no medicine, no clean drinking water, oppression, helplessness, psychological pressures, doubts, and daily trauma due to the loss of loved ones. In Gaza, it's not just hunger, disease and fear; Rather, it means actual death.

Food is scarce, clean water is hard to find, and the most basic necessities have become luxuries beyond our reach. Every day, we struggle—not just to live, but to preserve the dignity that war tries to strip away.

Amid this suffering, a new life was brought into the world—my brother’s daughter, an innocent soul who took her first breath in a tent instead of a warm home, her tiny body wrapped in whatever scraps of fabric we could find. She was born not into joy, but into loss, into hunger, into the unforgiving reality of war. And as we watch her, so fragile and pure, our hearts break knowing that we cannot give her the comfort and security she deserves and we cannot provide enough milk, diapers, medicines, and vitamins for her😭😭😭😭💔💔💔

It is a family from Gaza consisting of the husband Ahmed, the wife Lubna, and their children Mohammed, Hassan, and Yazan.

Overnight, rockets and artillery shells rained down on our residential area without any prior warning, forcing us to leave our homes with nothing but our exhausted souls..

This is how the first displacement began until we reached the fifth displacement, and in between them there are indescribable stories of suffering and pain.

At the moment we live in a dilapidated tent that is at risk at the first rain, and the environment we live in is unsanitary and prone to diseases.

Let me tell you what my children are living in the tents. My son Mohammed is 11 years old. He is supposed to be in school receiving his lessons, but in this war, because of the viruses, insects and dust, his feet were injured.

Then he got infected with hepatitis, but there are no medications, no nutrition, and no care in the hospitals.

My child, Yazan, who gets this allergy every now and then.

In all his body, it is difficult to provide him with milk and diapers.

There's something so absolutely fucked about the idea of agreeing to do a ceasefire at the end of the week and then just continuing to not cease the fire until the agreed-upon time.

Gaza remains unsafe, and while efforts to rebuild can start with the ceasefire deal, families who need to get out of there should get to do so.

The Al-anqar family, for example, needs funds to get out and pay for medical expenses for six young children. This is a vetted fundraiser at number 6 on the Gazavetters list, currently sitting at €11,755 out of its €20,000 goal.

This is our life in which we live under constant attacks and under difficult circumstances.
