Paragon and Cyclonus were lovers during the War of the Threefold Spark. A romantic, Paragon always dreamed of visiting the world of Neutronia with Cyclonus after everything was done, so he was greatly perturbed when Provoke informed him Turmoil had melted two-thirds of the planet.
Later on during the war, Paragon was captured by Turmoil, and taken off planet when he fled Cybertron. He was still a captive when the war ended, and Nominus Prime declared an amnesty for all the surviving servants of the Threefold Spark. However, Turmoil's ship was pursued by Great General Pyra Magna and Paragon, along with all those onboard, was killed when the ship unexpectedly exploded. Cyclonus's therapist Froid was aware of Cyclonus's relationship with Paragon and frequently implored Cyclonus to reach out to Paragon the same way he had "reached out" to the hallucinatory ghosts of his fallen comrades Gridlock, Grudge, Highfire, and Provoke. The Cracks Beneath Your Feet Part Four Cyclonus refused, finding the mere reminder of Paragon's absence to be too painful. Hunt

Forty cycles later, Provoke was found alive underneath the Memorial Crater. However, something about her behavior was amiss, as she coldly brushed off Cyclonus's attempts to socialize. Paragon's ghost simply advised patience. Enigmatic Despite this, Provoke's behavior continued to unsettle Cyclonus and his hallucinations, as she failed to act how she should have, or recall events as they had properly happened. While the others were uncertain, Paragon asked Cyclonus if any of the information she gave was stuff she could've gleamed from elsewhere, and whether it smelled right to him. Darkness, Once Gazed Upon: Part Two
Finally reaching breaking point, Cyclonus confronted "Provoke", and learned she had been usurped by Exarchon. In order to prevent himself being usurped as well, Cyclonus ripped the spark core out of his friend's body. While the others welcomed the hallucination of Provoke back into the fold, Paragon asked Cyclonus if he was okay. And as it turned out, he was. Darkness, Once Gazed Upon: Part Three Cyclonus went to Decepticon HQ to confront Megatron with the truth of Exarchon's return. After Megatron was convinced, Cyclonus accompanied a team of Decepticons to the Sonic Canyons to take care of Exarchon. The other ghosts were certain that Cyclonus had nothing else to live for other than seeing to Exarchon's death, but Paragon urged him to think of a future beyond that. War's End Part Three The Decepticons teamed up with the Autobots to fight Exarchon and Cyclonus was instrumental in the Threefold Spark's final defeat. War's End Part Four
Now ready to leave his ghosts behind, Cyclonus decided to depart Cybertron with the Autobots aboard the Ark. While he allowed his other specters to fade away, Cyclonus bade the hallucination of Paragon to remain with him for a bit longer. Once in flight on the Ark, he told "Paragon" that he would pay a visit to the remains of Neutronia as the real Paragon had wanted for them. After that, Cyclonus felt he'd finally be able to lay his lover's memory to rest. Fate of Cybertron
