Griffin Rock's pointy-haired boss.

Griffin Rock has the misfortune to have H.B. Luskey as its mayor. Vain and egocentric, he is all too happy to claim the credit when something goes right, and even quicker to turn on the bluster and demand who's at fault when something goes terribly wrong. He's fortunate that the townsfolk have short memories, as his seven (so far) terms in office have been beset by disaster after disaster, often of his own making, but perhaps the main reason he keeps being re-elected is because no one wants to run against him in case they accidentally get elected themselves. Fortunately he's been mayor so long that he and his minions have worked out ways around some of his many deficiencies.

Luskey has done well for himself — he has a beautiful wife and owns a yacht, a large house, and a toupée which only leaves his head whenever the potential for comedy is at its greatest.

As your mayor, I consider myself head of the whole Griffin Rock family.Mayor Luskey, "Flobsters on Parade"

Mayor Luskey, Doc Greene, and Chief Burns expelled Doctor Morocco from the island after his inventions proved dangerous. The Reign of Morocco

During the Lobster and Technology Festival, Mayor Luskey took part in the technology parade. Afterwards he was interviewed by reporter Huxley Prescott and invited everyone to come to the town square to take part in the festival, only to be attacked on-camera by flobsters, who relieved him of his toupée. He attempted to flee in his car, only to be attacked by more flobsters which severed a nearby power line. Graham Burns and Boulder came to his rescue, and Graham returned his toupée. Flobsters on Parade The Mayor and his wife had a weekly picnic, during which they had a path cut through grass for them. When the power went out during what everyone thought was an alien invasion, the Mayor panicked and triggered the air raid siren, before running through the streets telling everyone that "they" were coming. Toronto had Rob Ford, Griffin Rock has Mayor Luskey.

As part of the town's Earth Day celebrations, Luskey unveiled the Mayor Luskey Library. When recycling-happy lemurs escaped from the zoo, he watched in alarm as they began tearing the building apart and one of them made off with his toupée. He later unveiled the Mayor Luskey Enclosure at the zoo, to hold the cross-eyed lion. Walk on the Wild Side During a heatwave, the Mayor demonstrated how it was hot enough to fry an egg on the pavement, only for the egg and his hat to catch fire. When Cody came up with the idea of using a weather machine to create snow, Luskey was happy to take the credit, but got his comeuppance when Chief Burns' car speaker started to fritz (Chase wouldn't let him lie on his speaker). When the machine went out of control, he and some other residents were trapped in City Hall until the Rescue Bots came to their aid. Christmas in July

After almost colliding with rocks after the lighthouse failed, Luskey ordered Doc Greene to sort it out before the next day's Miss Griffin Rock pageant. During the pageant, a giant shark appeared off the shore without warning, and Luskey had to angrily contact Greene again. Deep Trouble On a particularly foggy day, the Griffin Rock mainframe was hacked into, and Luskey was trapped in town hall by a rogue garbage truck and doused by the fire sprinkers. Though he was rescued by Heatwave and Kade Burns, he was so incensed he later fired Doc Greene from the position of lead scientist. Return of the Dino Bot

After Morocco's MorBot saved the mayor from a rogue road roller, Luskey seemed happy to entertain the notion of allowing Morocco to compete with the Burns family to see who was best at rescue. It only took the MorBot saving Luskey from being splattered by Doc Greene's solar car for him to have the Rescue Bots stood down and appoint Morocco as lead scientist. The Other Doctor Burns's claims that Morocco was behind the recent troubles were ignored by Luskey, who took Morocco out on the Floating Xanadu to see the sun rise. It was only when the voters started getting angry about the destruction wrought by the MorBot that Luskey was forced to press the Rescue Bots back into action, and with compelling evidence that Morocco was behind everything, Luskey and the council reinstated both Burns's team and Doc Greene. Let's face it, he's only in office 'cause no one else wants the job.

Mayor Luskey attended the Founders' Day celebrations. The Lost Bell He was among those transported to a cavern under Griffin Rock by the tracers. Countdown Mayor Luskey was chased onto a metal balcony by the Ghost Inventor. Luckily Heatwave was around to rescue him when the balcony collapsed. The Haunting of Griffin Rock Luskey had a statue built of one of the town's most distinguished citizens—himself! During the dedication ceremony, a rogue concrete pipe came down the hill towards the mayor's group. Though it totaled the statue, Cody managed to destroy the pipe before it could flatten the mayor, who promptly declared him a superhero. Rescue Boy

In an alternate timeline where Morocco ruled "Moropolis", Luskey was a restaurant owner. He had a lot of trouble with the MorBots breaking his tables. Bot to the Future

Luskey was startled by the teleportation of the rescue team's Mobile Headquarters onto his front lawn. Road Trip He judged a science competition, naming Frankie Greene's Sky Forest the winner and announcing they'd build a full-sized version. Disappointed that it would take a decade to grow the forest, he used some quick growth formula from the Hall of Inspiration, resulting in the town being threatened by out-of-control vines. Sky Forest At some point Morocco returned the Mayor's ship, and Luskey pardoned him. Tip of the Iceberg

Spellbound Luskey.gif

Luskey turned down an offer to buy Blossom Vale, because he and his wife enjoyed going there to snorkel. He was one of the many townspeople temporarily hypnotized by mysterious cellphones. Spellbound Holding a ceremony to celebrate the start of the maple syrup harvest by pouring the first batch onto a giant pile of pancakes, Mayor Luskey slipped and fell, requiring another rescue. Huxley subsequently sweet talked him into approving a reality show featuring the island's rescue team, but he was less than impressed with Huxley when the reporter's antics resulted in his home being endangered. All that hair and he still needs the toupée.

After finding a stash of Fo-Foo in a bunker near his mansion, Luskey dubbed it "Magic Meat" and began marketing it, unaware that one of the side effects was lycanthropy. Turning into a huge hairy beast, Luskey was mistaken for the Maine Ridge Monster by Cody and the Bots, who had an encounter with him in a disused cannery. After he reverted to his human form, Luskey found that his store of Magic Meat had been raided and reported it to the Burns family, who soon discovered the meat's real nature. That night, Luskey again turned into a beast and attempted to steal the Fo-Foo stored in the Hall of Inspiration, only to be captured by the Rescue Bots. Luskey was put on a diet of vegetables to cure him. Feed the Beast

Frustrated with the town's old central computer, Luskey had a new high-tech computer named Vigil installed. Against Doc Greene's advice, he set it to full capacity straight away, and it took over the town, trapping him in his house. The Vigilant Town During Crawfish Week, Luskey's interview was interrupted when Evan and Myles stole the satellite dish from Prescott's news van. Bots and Robbers On his wife's prompting, Luskey presented a medal to Noble for his rescue of Poopsie. He was later at the dedication of Pynch Square when Priscilla Pynch's robopooch Wi-Fido went wild, and himself added to the chaos. Rescue Dog

Clearly, he's taken lessons from Mayor Manx regarding toupées.

When the town's presents sank, the mayor got his own sinking feeling as his wife was very unhappy. After a visit from the Rider of Midwinter, they both happily turned up to the Midwinter Morning bonfire. The Riders of Midwinter During his MCing of "Griffin Rock Plant a Tree Day", Luskey introduced the new Power Planter, only for the device to go haywire when it was struck by lightning. His subsequent relaxing in his hot tub was interrupted by a toupée-stealing badger and the Power Planter destroying his water heater. He was unable to use the tub until the planter was defeated, at which point the Burns family commandeered the tub for "testing". Movers and Shakers

During the Dolphin Wonder Festival, aiming to avoid a repeat of the previous year, Luskey and Mr. Alper dropped beacons into the sea to attract the dolphins. Unfortunately the beacons almost caused the Mayor's boat to crash, and later resulted in the dolphins becoming stranded in the wetlands. Chief Woodrow Under Luskey's mayorship, a rail tunnel to the island was finally completed, and he and his wife were among the first passengers on the Griffin Rock Express. When it turned out that the trains boosters hadn't been calibrated, Luskey insisted on engaging them anyway, and the train became a runaway. Luskey and the other passengers were only saved by the hard work of the rescue team. The Griffin Rock Express

Luskey tried out what he thought was a hair growth helmet, but in reality was a device created by Doctor Morocco. After passing out, he suddenly had no recollection of his wife, and attempted to drive across Franklin Bridge, which had been destroyed the year before. He was taken to Doctor McSwain, who could find no reason for his sudden amnesia. Double Villainy As water rose over the island, Luskey was interviewed by Huxley Prescott, but could only promise to contact Professor Plummer in response. He and the rest of the townsfolk evacuated to Mount Griffin as the water continued to rise. After the island was saved, Luskey was perturbed when the wind whisked away his hairpiece and he discovered he was bald. Doctor Morocco later restored Luskey's lost memories. Rise of the Heroes

After a pterodactyl was sighted on Mount Griffin, the mayor made plans to turn it into a tourist attraction. Land Before Prime During the cleanup from a flood, Mayor Luskey reported that all of the townsfolk had been accounted for and were safe. Unfinished Business When Doc Greene's dome successfully protected the town from Hurricane Opie, Mayor Luskey claimed the credit and dubbed it the "Mayor Luskey Dome". Unfortunately Vigil rendered everyone unconscious soon after, and Mayor Luskey turned out to be a bit of a sleep-eater, consuming ice cream while he dozed. No Place Like Dome Mayor Luskey was picking up his morning paper when Dither zoomed past into his house. As Chief Burns instructed Luskey to run for cover, Dither stole all of his toasters. Bot-Tastic Voyage

Luskey was showing wealthy investor Mrs. Dumont around town. After a mishap with his car, Luskey took Dumont to visit the lab, where they met Doc Greene's colleague Doctor Ira from Freedonia. When Mrs. Dumont invited Ira to the Mayor's dinner party, Luskey insisted, unaware Ira was actually a caveman. The dinner party went well, despite Ira's odd manners, and Luskey surprised everyone with a fireworks display. He was pleased when Dumont subsequently donated a large sum for the museum's new Luskey wing. Did You See What I Thaw? The mayor again had to call the emergency services when his house was attacked by a giant monster. The Attack of Humungado

Intending to honor the rescue team, Luskey announced Bot Appreciation Week and had Doc Greene create mini-Rescue Bot souvenirs to stock his "re-elect Mayor Luskey" booth. Unfortunately the souvenirs turned into kleptomaniacs thanks to Evan and Myles, however the rescue team dealt with them, and the mayor somehow managed to claim some of the credit. All Bots Great and Small Thanks to a time skip, Cody attended Luskey's dedication of the new Mayor Luskey Clock Tower three times. Though the first and second attempts were disrupted by various disasters, fortunately the last time went without a hitch. Time After Time

PiratesAhoy Citizen Safety Board.jpg

When it was discovered that the Burns family had a pirate for an ancestor, Mayor Luskey suspended them and attempted to form a Citizen Safety Board. This went terribly wrong, and Luskey reinstated the team after they returned with the treasure and pointed out he couldn't hold them responsible for the actions of their ancestors. Pirates Ahoy

When new owners wanted to start using Drilling Platform number 6, the mayor assigned Doc Greene and Graham to assess the safety of doing so. Turning the Tide The mayor was in favor of getting rid of Servo when the Cyber-Dog caused damage downtown, however after Servo saved him from the Scrapmaster and it was revealed Poopsie was to blame for most of the damage, the mayor flip flopped. Four-Legged Hero

The rediscovery of Gold-Crested Woodpeckers, decades after they were believed to be extinct, resulted in the mayor holding a press conference in an attempt to attract tourists to the island. When his attempt to turn Blossom Vale into a tourist attraction caused the destruction of the campground, the mayor was talked into turning it into a bird sanctuary by Doc Greene. Endangered Species

When his wife asked the mayor to take Poopsie for a walk, he instead released Poopsie unsupervised, forcing his wife to go and search for the missing dog. More than Meets the Eye Luskey's judging of the Griffin Rock Idol auditions was disrupted by Huxley Prescott falling off scaffolding, and then Doc Greene's Tone-O-Tuner making everyone sing and almost demolishing town hall. I Have Heard the Robots Singing

Luskey officiated at the opening of a time capsule, but when it turned out to contain a potentially dangerous quantum crystal, he and his wife abandoned island on their boat. When the island subsequently disappeared, the Floating Xanadu sank, requiring them to be rescued by High Tide, Blurr and Salvage. Now and Then Luskey was startled when High Tide transformed into a giant robot to help guide the island back to its usual place. Today and Forever

NewNormal packed lunch.jpg

He and his wife's picnic was interrupted when an experimental jet crashed nearby. They were both abducted by the Velgrox, and even after the alien invasion was foiled, the Velgrox had to be talked out of keeping the mayor. New Normal With the revelation that the Rescue Bots were aliens, Luskey planned to make Griffin Rock a tourist hotspot, but was persuaded to hold a vote which resulted in them keeping the Rescue Bots a secret. Bridge Building

Hoping to bring more tourists in, Luskey attempted to interest some investors in redeveloping parts of town, however he was unaware that Madeline Pynch was actually behind the scheme. Vanishing Returns During Earliween, he took part in a video released to help cover up the Rescue Bots' secret. Ghost in the Machine He and the rest of the council were given an earthquake briefing by Blades and Dani Burns. Enemy of My Enemy

Following a disastrous start to his re-election campaign, Luskey found himself running against Chase. He was even more surprised when the Bot beat him and took up the office of mayor, leaving Luskey to sit in his hammock and drink prune juice. Chase's term as mayor lasted about a day before he almost accidentally caused the destruction of the island, something Luskey was able to prevent thanks to his diligence in keeping spare keys, and the Rescue Bot turned the mayoralty back over to Luskey. Mayor May Not

The Luskey's were out on their yacht when it was hit by a series of freak waves and they had to be rescued. He later "helped" organize All Spark Day by watching TV, however he missed the event itself as he was cowering behind his desk after a series of earthquakes. All Spark Day

Luskey spent most of the town's money, including the budget for a new communications tower, on an Insta-adium which he believed would recoup the money once he lured the Brash Ball Big Bowl to town. Unfortunately though he managed to get some Brash Ball officials to visit, the Insta-adium turned out to be a dud—the cleats worn by the Brash Ball players resulted in it sinking. Part-Time Heroes

Invited to his brother Bert's mainland town to watch a race, Luskey was keen on getting one of the races shifted to Griffin Rock. He got his wish after Blurr damaged the stands, however the introduction of Directional Momentum Amplifier tech into the final race, which Bert insisted on setting to maximum, caused a near disaster. In the aftermath, Luskey and his brother struggled over the race trophy, only for H.B. to discover Bert was wearing a toupée and was secretly as bald as he was. Hot Rod Bot

When the rescue team found a document that showed the Burns family were royalty and the rightful rulers of Griffin Rock, Luskey was appointed to the post of Prime Minister, until eventually a document was found clearing it all up. King Burns

Mayor Luskey had the idea of creating a tribute to the Rescue Bots by carving their faces into the side of a mountain. Heatwave, for one, was not enthused by the idea. Mount Botmore

The Mayor and a group of townsfolk arrived at the Rescue Bot Academy in time to see the recruits burst a huge energon bubble that had trapped Heatwave, Optimus Prime, Cody and Chase. Believing it to be part of a show that they were putting on for the graduation ceremony, Luskey enthused about how spectacular it was, defusing Heatwave's anger at the recruits for having created the bubble in the first place. Luskey and his fellow townsfolk later attended the recruits' graduation from year one of their training. Best Bots Forever Part 2

Luskey had Heatwave assign the recruits the task of being the actors in the town's Play in the Park event, which he also attended. Acting Out When the ice needed for the ice sculpture contest failed to show up on time, Luskey attempted to keep the crowd entertained with a comedy routine. Eventually Whirl realized they could use other materials to sculpt, so the Mayor got to judge something after all. The Icebot Cometh

The most unexpected character twist: he's actually good at something!

Wanting to take up a side career making electronic dance music, Luskey was worried that no one would accept a DJ mayor, so he created the stage persona DJ Mechmaster, a secretive musician who hid his face behind a robot mask. He attained great success and fame, with Cody Burns and Medix even being hooked on his music. Luskey organized a charity concert to take place in Griffin Rock, and asked the Rescue Bots to monitor the event. As the stage barge approached the docks, turbulence caused it to hit rocks and Luskey to fall overboard. He was able to cling to a buoy, though his mask got caught in it, resulting in him having to reveal his identity when the recruits rescued him. The recruits subsequently helped him out by acting as stage props to replace the props damaged in the barge crash. Griffin Rock Rocks!

He attended the Rescue Bot recruits' year two graduation ceremony. Crash Of The Titan
