Power Planter

The Power Planter is technology from the Rescue Bots portion of the Aligned continuity family.

Maybe they should have made their invention less evil-looking if they didn't want it to turn evil.

The Power Planter is a fully-automated robot designed to make planting trees easy! By burrowing underground, it's able to pull trees directly into the ground from below using its pincers. It's also completely safe for humans, as it's programmed to avoid heat sources.

It does, however, have a problem with being hit by lightning.

On its first test in Griffin Rock, the Power Planter successfully planted a number of trees, and demonstrated its safety programming by avoiding Huxley Prescott. Unfortunately it was then struck by a freak bolt of lightning which reversed its programming, causing it to uproot trees and go after anything that was a heat source. The Rescue Bots were unable to grab it, and it escaped the area. The drone soon sent wildlife fleeing, and attacked Mayor Luskey's hot tub, before going after the Mayor himself. After a series of failed attempts to capture the device, including Blades roping it temporarily, the rescue team hit on the idea of using Boil Coils to attract it. They succeeded in luring the Power Planter and tricking it into driving off a cliff, resulting in its destruction. Boulder later used the planter's claws to make a protective cage for Leafy.
