Opabinia

Far from the surface world, the strange opabinia dwell in the depths of the Argon Sea. They seem to feed off energy using their proboscises.

While pursuing the abducted Windblade, Bumblebee and Chromia found their shuttle attacked by a group of opabinia. After draining the shuttle's shields, the opabinia appeared to lose interest, or were driven off by the incoming attack by the larger Hammerbyte. Dweller In The Depths

• The opabinia is based on its terrestrial namesake from the Cambrian Period, Opabinia regalis.
• The name of these creatures was never given on screen, but was given in a tweet by Randolph Heard.^[1]
