NHL awards

Well, I misread the question.  I thought the question was about renaming the current trophies in honor of a player.  Hence, the Gordie Howe Most Outstanding Player Award, the Jacques Plante Most Outstanding Goalie Award, the Bobby Orr Most Outstanding Defenseman Award, and so on.  Looks like I was the only one to think like that.

Two things:
1. By misreading the question, my answer stands out.  And, I think my interpretation of the question was more interesting anyway, considering the identicalness of the responses from anyone else.

2. I got to highlight our cause here to have Bettman stop giving out the Cup, and instead give it to the honor guard.  Won’t the mainstream media take this idea and run with it please?  Maybe Damien Cox can redeem himself, and he and Tyler can join forces on this one.
