how to clear the cache for a specific site on Chrome (macbook pro)
Pretty much the title. My workplace changed to a different instance of our platform, and Chrome keeps opening the old one and I can't access student records. I don't want to clear ALL of my cache - just the work stuff. 2023 Macbook Pro M2. [more inside]

Open source (or plain old free) web content filtering for children
Our daughter is now nine and we've given in and set her up with an account on the laptop using Apple's really rather good parental controls. We can setup when she is and isn't able to login, we can set which applications she can and can't open, and I've set it up so that her default search engine is Swiggle. I've even changed the URL bar behaviour in Chrome (which is the only allowed browser app on that account) so that if she uses the URL bar to search it doesn't just take her to Google.

Help me *extract* myself from Google’s search results
I have been lately removing personal information from the internet, and on one particular site I thought I had successfully used Google’s Remove Outdated Content Tool. However, the site- unfortunately one with my address plastered on it- still comes up with a search of my name, albeit now with my name scrubbed from the search result, site description, and the website from whence it came. Disappearing storage on MacBook Air!
We have a Macbook Air running Sierra 10.12, upgraded within the last 10 weeks or so. Since then we can't keep free space on the hard drive. It just continually disappears, to the point where the drive is almost full and the computer stops functioning properly. I can't find the source of the problem, except that the space used by "System" files is just growing and growing -- today it's at 150GB! Are there any serious Mac experts out there who can help me? Why does Chrome's cache max out at 638 MB?
I periodically wipe Chrome's browsing data (usually when it starts feeling sluggish). The window that pops up shows the 'cached images and files' size. It's almost always at 638 MB and I've never seen it go higher. Why 638? Is it truthful? Is it arbitrary?
Learn me SEO
I am taking on a new role which will require me to be conversant in SEO. Our SEO product manager likes to obfuscate things so no one can pin him down. It is my job to pin him down and call bullshit. I have no idea what schema.org is or what this canonical stuff is all about. Can anyone recommend a great book / site where I can get up to speed on all things SEO? I don't have a lot of time to spend so brevity is key.

Name of European movie about couple's marital problems
Calling all movie buffs -- I saw a trailer for a movie, but I have forgotten its name. It was European, probably French. It was about a married couple. They were both white. The man had brown hair and was heavier set, but I might be wrong. The woman had brown hair and was normal build. The man was older than the woman, but I might be wrong. [more inside]
How to make Maps cache ALL available zoom levels on Android?
I'm running Kitkat and Google Maps 7.7. Using the cache feature, I can save a certain area of a map. However, not all of the zoom levels are saved - if I zoom out far enough to encompass the area I want, the more granular zoomed in levels don't get saved properly. I've found this, but it seems that the functionality is no longer available in current versions (and I'd like to avoid sketchy options if possible). At the moment, I'm manually zooming in and caching lots of sections of the map to ensure that all levels are saved, but it's fiddly to do and there's no easy way to ensure that I've covered every section.

Misbehaving fonts in Office 2011 Mac
So the long and short of it is, I'm pretty sure that Meiryo UI is messed up or missing or something, and instead Office 2011 on my Mac has decided that it'd be totally cool to use Mart Futomaru Gothic instead for most Japanese text display, including all over Excel. Is there some way to reinstall just the font(s) or maybe clear the Office font cache?
How can I efficiently harvest Google's entire cache of my website?
I stupidly let a web hosting account expire without backing up and transferring my site to my new server. I'm talking to the host to try to get access to my data (fingers crossed), but in case that does not work out: Is there a way to efficiently harvest Google's entire cache of a specific domain? Something else I should consider? I would like to act fast on this, and I don't have any programming/tech-fu skills.

Export Google Desktop Cache to PDF?
Is there a way to export my Google Desktop cache of webpages into PDF or plain text files? I frequently update my computer and although I include my Google Desktop indexes in my backups, for all practical purposes the browsing history is lost since there is no method to import a Google Desktop Index (You can restore an entire backup, but not import one into another). I'd like to be able to keep a PDF or plain text history of every web page I've visited.
I've installed the PDFCreator toolbar, which allows one-click saving of a webpage, so I can save my history from here on, but I'd love to reach back in time and resurrect my browsing history stored in the Google Desktop Index.
cache.manifest & Yahoo webhosting?
How do I serve a .manifest file as "type text/cache-manifest" using Yahoo small business webhosting? I have created the manifest file and uploaded it to the server. I have declared the manifest file in the index.html, but I don't think the mime-type is recognized. Yahoo doesn't allow ht access files to be uploaded either. (I am trying to write my first web-app for the iPhone) Thanks for any guidance!
What has Roger Ebert discovered about "Cache"?
In a new essay on the film Cache, Roger Ebert says he has discovered a "smoking gun" that may explain the film's mystery. He says it occurs at around 20:39 on the DVD. Can somebody with access to the DVD tell me what is there?
(For anybody who hasn't seen this film, Ebert's essay contains some spoilers--as (I hope!) will this thread.)
Web Dev - How to inform browsers to update their cache?
I am developing a website that has a moderately-sized user base. I am going to be rolling out a new version of the page soon. In my testing, I have noticed that my browsers don't notice that there are new versions of some of the CSS files available on the servers, and renders the page with the old CSS files. This causes display glitches. How do I let browsers know that new CSS/Javascript files are available and to update it's cache?

How to see expired posts on Craigslist?
I did a Google search and came up with a link to a Craigslist posting, but the post is expired. Obviously, Google has the text of this because it shows me snippets of it in the search result list, but there is no "Cached" link for me to see it. How can I get this info out of Google or Craigslist? Or, alternatively, is there a website that has cached versions of Craigslist posts? The post in question is ten days old.

How can I recover my deleted Froogle list?
How can I recover my deleted Froogle list? I once had a lengthy (20-30 items?) shopping list on Froogle, here. I pointed people to this list as recently as December and it was full then. It now appears the entire list is gone. The items for myself aren't that important (if I can't remember I want it, maybe I don't really need it), but I used the list to keep track of gift ideas for others, and I'd really like to recover those. I've searched for an older cache on the Wayback Machine, Google, and Yahoo, with no luck. And I can't find any means of contacting Google for help.
