What's the deal with your nickname? How did you get it? If your nickname is self-explanatory, then tell everyone when you first started using the internet, and what was the first thing that made you say "wow, this isn't just a place for freaks after all?" Was it a website? Was it an email from a long-lost friend? Go on, spill it.

Back in 1995 I was at Uni and dating a girl whose intelligence was inversely proportional to her alcohol consumption. A girl who drank every night. I made a hobby out of logging into whichever telnet talker she was on and talking to her about stuff that was going on in the room. Except I'd do it with a random username. Twine was one of those usernames I used to wind her up.

I'm now ($year-1977) years old, married to a wonderful lass, and doing the job I've always wanted...
