Taylor Hall recorded his fifth career hat trick to lead the Chicago Blackhawks to a 6-2 win against the visiting Dallas Stars on Wednesday evening. It was Hall's first hat trick since Dec. 5, 2013, when he played for the Edmonton Oilers in an 8-2 win against the Colorado Avalanche. Louis Crevier scored his first NHL goal, Connor Bedard and Teuvo Teravainen also scored, Tyler Bertuzzi had two assists, and Petr Mrazek made 25 saves for the Blackhawks, who have points in three straight games for the first time this season (2-0-1).
