Sandal Bar (Urdu: ساندل بار ), is a large and ancient region of Punjab. It is between the river Ravi and river Chenab. It spreads over almost 80 km from east to west and 40 km north to south. "Bar", in the local language, means a forested area where there are no resources for cultivation, like water.

Punjabi is the main language of the region. Many people also speak Urdu. Some who came from Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh States of India during the Partition of India of 1947 speak Haryanvi or Mewati.
