Petr Nečas (born 19 November 1964; Czech pronunciation: [ˈpɛtr̩ ˈnɛtʃas]) is the umwhile Prime Meenister o the Czech Republic an Leader o the Ceevic Democratic Pairty. He wis sworn intae affice on 28 Juin 2010.[2]

He resigned on 17 Juin 2013, in the eftermath of a polis action, in which his chief o affice Jana Nagyová wis arrestit.[3]

Nečas wis born in Uherske Hradiste, Czech Republic, on 19 November 1964.[4] He attendit gymnasium in Uherské Hradiště frae 1979 tae 1983. He graduatit frae the faculty o science at the Varsity o J.E. Purkyně in Brno in 1988.[4]

Nečas wis a member o Socialistic Union o Youth (SSM) which wis the youth wing o the Communist Pairty o Czechoslovakie (KSČ) till 1989. Frae 1988 tae 1992, he wirked as a developer at Tesla Rožnov. He acame a member o the Ceevic Democratic Pairty in 1991. He wis named as deputy defence meenister in 1995. Ane year later, he electit as a member o the Chamber o Deputies. Frae 4 September 2006 tae 8 Mey 2009, Nečas wis Deputy Prime Meenister an Meenister o Labour an Social Affairs.

In Mairch 2010, he replaced Mirek Topolánek as the leader o the pairty. The Ceevic Democratic Pairty wan seicont place in the Mey 2010 Czech legislative election an shortly efter that Nečas annoonced his intention tae staund for the post o the chairman o the pairty.[5][6]

In Juin 2013, the Polis Unit for Combatin Organized Crime (in Czech: Útvar pro odhalování organizovaného zločinu, ÚOOZ) an the Chief Public Prosecutor's Affice (Vrchní státní zastupitelství) in Olomouc organized a raid against organized crime. It involved several heichly poseetioned state officers an politeecians, as well as controversial entrepreneurs an lobbyists. The scandal affectit the Prime Meenister an his coalition govrenment.
