Definitions
- a fishing rod reel seat and a fishing rod grip are usually placed on the rod body, and the fishing rod reel seat has a reel leg placement section formed on the upper or lower side of the main body for placing the reel legs.
- Patent Documents 1 to 3 there is known a reel seat in which the position of the reel leg mounting part of the reel seat is offset in a direction that drops relative to the axis of the butt rod (also called an offset reel seat).
- an offset reel seat With such an offset reel seat, the reel leg mounting part is shifted downward, so that when a round double-bearing reel is attached, the thumb operating position does not become high even when gripping the grip part on the rear side, and it is disclosed that this prevents the palm from opening up and reducing operability.
- the position of the reel leg mounting part of the reel seat is offset in a direction that drops relative to the axis of the butt rod, the strength of the reel seat in the area of the reel seat leg mounting part is significantly reduced, and stress is concentrated in the area of the end face of the butt joint part of the reel seat, which can easily cause destruction or damage depending on the usage pattern, and there is also the problem of an essential problem with durability.
- the present invention was made in consideration of the above circumstances, and its purpose is to provide a reel seat that is compatible with both round and low-profile reels, and that employs a reel seat with a more appropriate offset amount, thereby not only improving operability but also making it less likely to lose strength and significantly increasing durability, as well as a fishing rod equipped with the reel seat.

- the thumbing position and offset amount in the reel seat 9 will be described.
- the user When a user casts a fishing rod equipped with a reel seat to which a reel is attached, the user places the index finger on the trigger, holds the grip with the middle finger, ring finger, and little finger and the palm of the hand, and thumbs the reel spool with the thumb.
- the reel spool can be thumbed within the range of the thumb's movement without the middle finger, ring finger, and little finger that are gripping the fishing rod and the palm opening.
- This thumbing position is determined by the clutch position when the clutch lever of the reel is OFF.
- thumbing position is too low, problems such as difficulty in disengaging the clutch occur, so it has been found that operability is good when the thumbing position (clutch OFF position) relative to the top (top surface) of the fishing rod grip is in the range of 4 mm to 12 mm, more preferably in the range of 5 mm to 10 mm.
- Table 1 below shows the thumbing (clutch off) height for each offset amount (-8.5mm, -5.5mm, -4.0mm, -3.2mm, -2.5mm, 3.5mm, 8.2mm) using reels with clutch positions of 27.5mm (round reel), 24.8mm (low profile reel A), 23.9mm (low profile reel B) and 21.6mm (low profile reel C) when the clutch is off.
- thumbing height (clutch OFF position) was checked for each offset amount for five reels, and it was found that when the offset amount was in the range of -2.5mm to -4.0mm, the thumbing height (clutch OFF position) was in the range of 4mm to 12mm. When the offset amount was -5.5mm, the thumbing height (clutch OFF position) was in the range of 5mm to 10mm, except for low-profile reel C. From the above, when the offset amount was in the range of -2.5mm to -4.0mm, the thumbing height (clutch OFF position) was the best. When the offset amount was -5.5mm, the next best result was obtained.
- the thumbing height (clutch OFF position) was greater than 12mm in both cases.
- the thumbing height (clutch OFF position) was 6.0mm, which was good for round reels, but was 3.3mm or less for other reels.
- the clutch position when the clutch is off was 27.5 mm (round reel (referred to as type I)), 24.8 mm (low-profile reel A (referred to as type II)), 23.9 mm (low-profile reel B (referred to as type III)), and 21.6 mm (low-profile reel C (referred to as type IV)).
- the actual fishing operation was evaluated by 10 testers of different genders, ages, and physiques for each offset amount (-8.5 mm, -5.5 mm, -4.0 mm, -2.5 mm, 6.5 mm, 8.5 mm), and the results are shown in Tables 2 and 3 below.
- the evaluation scores were out of 10, with 1 being the lowest rating and 10 being the highest rating, with 1 indicating that the rod was difficult to use, 2-5 indicating that there were issues with the rod when using it, 6-8 indicating that the rod could be used without any issues, and 9 and 10 indicating that the rod could be used comfortably.
- an overall evaluation was conducted to determine the operability of the fishing rod, including casting, reeling, and lure action.

The present invention relates to a reel seat and a fishing rod equipped with the same.
Various fishing rods equipped with fishing rod reel seats have been known in the past.
In such fishing rods, a fishing rod reel seat and a fishing rod grip are usually placed on the rod body, and the fishing rod reel seat has a reel leg placement section formed on the upper or lower side of the main body for placing the reel legs.
As an example of such a fishing rod reel seat, as disclosed in Patent Documents 1 to 3, there is known a reel seat in which the position of the reel leg mounting part of the reel seat is offset in a direction that drops relative to the axis of the butt rod (also called an offset reel seat). With such an offset reel seat, the reel leg mounting part is shifted downward, so that when a round double-bearing reel is attached, the thumb operating position does not become high even when gripping the grip part on the rear side, and it is disclosed that this prevents the palm from opening up and reducing operability.
The reel seats described in these patent documents make it easy to operate the clutch even on double-bearing reels in which the clutch lever that puts the spool into a free-spinning state during casting is arranged to protrude from the surface of the side plate. However, depending on the type of reel to be attached, the offset amount may be too large, making it difficult to operate. In particular, to accommodate the so-called low-profile reels that have become mainstream in recent years, it is necessary to set the offset amount to an appropriate amount, but it is not possible to determine a more appropriate offset amount that takes into account the reel being used. In addition, because the position of the reel leg mounting part of the reel seat is offset in a direction that drops relative to the axis of the butt rod, the strength of the reel seat in the area of the reel seat leg mounting part is significantly reduced, and stress is concentrated in the area of the end face of the butt joint part of the reel seat, which can easily cause destruction or damage depending on the usage pattern, and there is also the problem of an essential problem with durability.

Other purposes of the present invention will become apparent by referring to this specification as a whole.

The butt rod 3, middle rod 5, and tip rod 7 are each constructed of a tubular body made of, for example, fiber-reinforced resin. This fiber-reinforced resin tubular body is created by winding a fiber-reinforced resin prepreg (prepreg sheet) in which reinforcing fibers are impregnated with a matrix resin around a core bar, and then heating and hardening the prepreg sheet. The reinforcing fibers contained in the prepreg sheet can be, for example, carbon fiber, glass fiber, or any other known reinforcing fiber. The matrix resin contained in the prepreg sheet can be a thermosetting resin such as epoxy resin. After the prepreg sheet has hardened, the core bar is de-cored. More specifically, the butt rod 3 is provided with line guide 10A, the middle rod 5 is provided with line guide 10B, and the tip rod 7 is provided with line guide 10C. A top guide 10D is provided at the tip of the tip rod 7, but details will be omitted.
Next, the basic structure of the reel seat body 12 and the reel seat 9 will be described with reference to Figure 2. In the following description, the axial direction (front-rear direction) and up-down direction refer to the directions shown in Figure 2, and the left-right direction (side direction) refers to the direction perpendicular to the paper surface of Figure 2. In other words, the front refers to the tip side of the fishing rod, the rear refers to the base side, the top refers to the reel side with respect to the axis X of the butt rod (rod) when a double-bearing reel is attached, and the bottom refers to the opposite side.
The reel seat body 12 has a reel leg mounting surface 12a along its axial direction on which the reel leg 6a of the fishing reel 6 is placed. The reel seat body 12 can be configured to have a length in the range of, for example, 150 mm to 200 mm, but is not limited to this. In addition, the reel seat body 12 has a slightly bulging side opposite the reel leg mounting surface 12a, forming a bulging portion (trigger) 12b with a curved outer surface that is easy to grip by supporting the ball of the foot or the area near it when gripped with the gripping hand.
The reel leg mounting surface 12a of the reel seat body 12 can be formed flat or approximately flat with a larger curvature than other circumferential portions adjacent to the reel leg mounting surface 12a of the reel seat body 12 (e.g., the trigger 12b), and is formed to extend in the axial direction of the reel seat body 12 shown in FIG. 2. A fixed hood 14 is integrally disposed at one end (rod base side) of the reel seat body 12. One end of the reel leg mounting surface 12a of the reel seat body 12 is disposed inside the fixed hood 14.
Details will be described later, but a movable hood 13 is attached to the other end (rod tip side) of the reel seat body 12 so that it can move freely in the axial direction. The fishing reel 6 is attached and fixed to the reel seat 9 by placing the reel leg 6a on the reel leg mounting portion 12a and fitting its rear end into the fixed hood 14, and then fastening the front end with the movable hood 13 which moves in the axial direction. The reel seat 9 includes the reel seat body 12 and the movable hood 13, but may include other components.

Alternatively, a reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention is a reel seat 9 comprising a reel seat body 12 having a reel leg mounting portion 12a on which the reel leg 6a is mounted and a fixed hood 14 provided on one axial side of the reel leg mounting portion 12a, and a movable hood 13 provided on the other axial side of the reel leg mounting portion 12a, in which the base joint portion 2a of the fishing rod body 2 is provided on the front side of the reel seat body 12, and the grip attachment material 11 is provided on the rear side of the reel seat body 12 horizontally in the axial direction, and the reel leg mounting portion 12a is offset from the reference position by 2.5 mm to 4.0 mm in the direction opposite to the side on which the reel leg 6a is mounted as viewed from the reel leg mounting portion 12a. Here, in the reel seat according to one embodiment of the present invention, the reference position is the position (height direction position) of the grip attachment material or the central axis of the fishing rod body (the same applies throughout this specification). If it is more positive than the reference position, the reel seat is not offset, and if it is more negative than the reference position, the reel seat is offset (part of the reel is recessed into the reel seat). An offset state is when part of the reel is recessed into the reel seat when it is attached, and the greater the offset amount (i.e. the more negative the offset value), the deeper the part of the reel is recessed into the reel seat.
The reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention is compatible with both round and low-profile reels, and by adopting a reel seat with a more appropriate offset amount, it is possible to provide a reel seat that is not easily weakened and can significantly increase durability, as well as a fishing rod equipped with the reel seat, which not only improves operability but also reduces the risk of loss of strength.
In one embodiment of the reel seat 9 according to the present invention, the reel leg mounting portion 12a is offset from the reference position so that the thumbing height of the reel 6 mounted on the reel leg mounting portion is in the range of 5.0 mm to 10.0 mm from the reference position.
Next, the thumbing position and offset amount in the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described. When a user casts a fishing rod equipped with a reel seat to which a reel is attached, the user places the index finger on the trigger, holds the grip with the middle finger, ring finger, and little finger and the palm of the hand, and thumbs the reel spool with the thumb. At that time, it has been found that operability is improved if the reel spool can be thumbed within the range of the thumb's movement without the middle finger, ring finger, and little finger that are gripping the fishing rod and the palm opening. This thumbing position is determined by the clutch position when the clutch lever of the reel is OFF. If the thumbing position is too low, problems such as difficulty in disengaging the clutch occur, so it has been found that operability is good when the thumbing position (clutch OFF position) relative to the top (top surface) of the fishing rod grip is in the range of 4 mm to 12 mm, more preferably in the range of 5 mm to 10 mm.
Table 1 below shows the thumbing (clutch off) height for each offset amount (-8.5mm, -5.5mm, -4.0mm, -3.2mm, -2.5mm, 3.5mm, 8.2mm) using reels with clutch positions of 27.5mm (round reel), 24.8mm (low profile reel A), 23.9mm (low profile reel B) and 21.6mm (low profile reel C) when the clutch is off.
As shown in Table 1, thumbing height (clutch OFF position) was checked for each offset amount for five reels, and it was found that when the offset amount was in the range of -2.5mm to -4.0mm, the thumbing height (clutch OFF position) was in the range of 4mm to 12mm. On the other hand, when the offset amount was 8.2mm and 3.5mm, the thumbing height (clutch OFF position) was greater than 12mm in both cases. When the offset amount was -8.5mm, the thumbing height (clutch OFF position) was 6.0mm, which was good for round reels, but was 3.3mm or less for other reels.
Next, the results of an operation test on the offset amount in the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described. In this operation test, the clutch position when the clutch is off was 27.5 mm (round reel (referred to as type I)), 24.8 mm (low-profile reel A (referred to as type II)), 23.9 mm (low-profile reel B (referred to as type III)), and 21.6 mm (low-profile reel C (referred to as type IV)). The actual fishing operation was evaluated by 10 testers of different genders, ages, and physiques for each offset amount (-8.5 mm, -5.5 mm, -4.0 mm, -2.5 mm, 6.5 mm, 8.5 mm), and the results are shown in Tables 2 and 3 below. The evaluation scores were out of 10, with 1 being the lowest rating and 10 being the highest rating, with 1 indicating that the rod was difficult to use, 2-5 indicating that there were issues with the rod when using it, 6-8 indicating that the rod could be used without any issues, and 9 and 10 indicating that the rod could be used comfortably. In addition, an overall evaluation was conducted to determine the operability of the fishing rod, including casting, reeling, and lure action.
As shown in Tables 2 and 3, it was found that for the four reels, when the offset amount was in the range of -2.5 mm to -4.0 mm, the performance evaluation was the highest, including the maximum evaluation of 10 points. When the offset amount was -5.5 mm, although the number of the maximum evaluation of 10 points was small, the number of evaluations of 7, 8, and 9 points was large, and the performance evaluation was the next highest. On the other hand, when the offset amount was -8.5, there were many evaluations of 5 points or less, and the performance evaluation was not sufficient. In addition, it was found that the performance evaluation was the lowest for offset amounts of +6.5 mm and +8.5 mm. From the results of this performance test, it was found that operability is high when the offset amount of the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention is in the range of -2.5 mm to -5.5 mm, and more preferably in the range of -2.5 mm to -4.0 mm.
In this way, the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention can be used with both round and low-profile reels, and by adopting a reel seat with a more appropriate offset amount, it is possible to provide a reel seat that can improve operability, and a fishing rod equipped with the reel seat.
2 again, a reel seat according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described in more detail. As shown in the figure, the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention is a reel seat attached to a rod body 2, comprising a reel leg mounting portion 12a on which the reel leg 6a is mounted, a fixed hood 14 provided on the axial rear side (rod butt side) of the reel leg mounting portion 12a, a cylindrical portion 15 provided on the axial front side (rod tip side) of the reel leg mounting portion 12a and partially cut out, a movable hood 13 provided on the axial front side (rod tip side) of the reel leg mounting portion 12a, and a nut member 18 provided on the outer surface of the cylindrical portion 15 and capable of moving the movable hood 13 by rotation. The reel 9 has a cylindrical portion 21 and a recessed portion 22 with a part cut out, the movable hood 13 has an engagement portion 16 provided on the inner surface of the cylindrical portion 15 and a hood portion 17 that accommodates at least a part of the reel leg 6a, the nut member 18 is provided on the outer surface of the recessed portion 22 so as to be rotatable relative to the recessed portion 22, the inner surface 18a of the nut member 18 engages with the engagement portion 16, and the movable hood 13 is moved axially rearward (toward the butt side) by the rotation of the nut member 18, and the rod body 2 is configured so as to be insertable up to the cylindrical portion 21 of the cylindrical portion 15. A protrusion can be provided on the end of the rod body 2. In this way, a structure for preventing rotation due to the shape of the base end surface of the rod body 2 can be adopted. Also, a spacer may be used instead of the rod body 2. In that case, for example, the rod body may be connected to the spacer by parallel jointing, or the rod body may be connected to the spacer by a spigot joint. Although the tubular portion 15 has been described as having a cylindrical portion 21 and a partially cut-out recessed portion 22, the recessed portion 22 may extend to at least a portion of the inside of the cylindrical portion 21 (i.e., the cylindrical portion 15 has the cylindrical portion 21 on the outside and the recessed portion 22 on at least a portion of the inside).
According to the reel seat of one embodiment of the present invention, even if a structure is adopted in which the position of the reel leg mounting portion of the reel seat is offset in a direction downward relative to the axis of the base rod, it is possible to provide a reel seat that can accommodate both round and low-profile twin-shaft reels, is less likely to lose strength, and can significantly increase durability. More specifically, the rod body itself can be inserted up to the part where the reel seat body has a thick structure, and a structure is adopted in which the engagement portion 16 of the moving hood 13 grips the rear of the rod body, making it possible to realize a reel seat structure that is lightweight, can accommodate low-profile twin-shaft reels, and has sufficient strength.
2 and 3, the reel seat according to one embodiment of the present invention will be further described. The reel seat body 12 of the reel seat 9 has a cylindrical portion 15 at the front, and a grip portion (rear grip) 23 that is grasped and held is fixed at the rear. The reel seat body 12 has an intermediate connecting portion 24 that connects the cylindrical portion 15 and the rear cylindrical portion 4b along the axial direction, and these are integrally formed. The base end side outer peripheral surface of the rod body 2 that constitutes the fishing rod is fixed to the inner surface of the cylindrical portion 15 by adhesive or the like, and the grip portion 23 is fixed to the outer peripheral surface of the cylindrical protrusion 4a that is formed to protrude along the axial direction on the rear side of the reel seat body 12, and is configured to be flush with the surface of the rear cylindrical portion 4b. In this case, the rear cylindrical portion 4b is also a part that is grasped and held together with the grip portion 23, and can constitute a grip. The fishing rod 1 to which the reel seat 9 is fixed can be a telescopic type, joint type, single rod, etc., and its configuration is not limited. In FIG. 2, only a part of the fishing rod (part of the rod body) is shown, and the entire configuration is omitted. Also, an example is shown in which the reel seat 9 is attached to and fixed to a low-profile dual-bearing reel (hereinafter also referred to as a reel) as a fishing reel 6.
The movable hood 13 has an engagement portion 16 formed with a male thread portion, and a hood portion 17 curved radially inward to accommodate at least a portion of the reel leg 6a. The hood portion 17 is arranged to fit into an opening 8 formed below the front end face (end face of the cylindrical portion 15) of the intermediate connecting portion 24, and this opening 8 is connected to the reel leg mounting portion 12a. In other words, when the movable hood 13 moves rearward, the hood portion 17 fits into the front end portion of the reel leg 6a mounted on the reel leg mounting portion 12a within the opening 8.
The male thread of the engagement portion 16 of the moving hood 13 is screwed into the female thread formed on the inner surface 18a of the nut member 18 that is fitted onto the cylindrical portion 15 (or the recessed portion 22 of the cylindrical portion 15). That is, by rotating the nut member 18 in one direction, the moving hood 13 moves axially backward and tightens the front end of the reel leg 6a (reel attachment, fixed state), and by rotating the nut member 18 in the other direction, the moving hood 13 moves axially forward and releases the front end of the reel leg 6a (reel removal state). Here, the method of engagement between the engagement portion 16 and the inner surface of the nut member 18 can be various conventionally known methods, and is not limited to a specific form (screwed). In addition, a circumferential groove is formed along the circumferential direction on the front end side of the cylindrical portion 15, and by attaching a ring-shaped member (retaining ring) 20 to this portion, the nut member 18 can be restricted so as not to slip out forward.
A grip support portion 25 is attached to the outer surface of the reel seat body 12 adjacent to the nut member 18, and a grip portion (front grip) 26 is fixed onto the grip support portion 25 so as to be flush with the surface of the nut member 18 that is rotated, but the grip portion 26 may not be provided.
In the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the engagement portion 16 and the nut member 18 are screwed together.
In the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the rod body 2 is configured to be inserted or insertable within a range of 5 mm to 20 mm into the cylindrical portion in the axial direction of the cylindrical portion.
Next, referring to FIG. 5, the cross-sectional structure of the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described. FIG. 5 shows the A-A cross section of FIG. 2. As shown in the figure, in the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, when the rod body 2 is inserted (and the moving hood 13 is in the position shown in FIG. 2), the rod body 2, the moving hood (the engagement portion 16), and the reel seat main body 12 (the cylindrical portion 15 or the cylindrical portion 21) are provided in this order from the inside when viewed in a cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the cylindrical portion 15 from the center axis of the cylindrical portion 15 downward (downward in the vertical direction of the paper surface of FIG. 5). As shown in the figure, the cylindrical portion 21 of the cylindrical portion 15 of the reel seat main body 12 has a circular or approximately circular outer surface, and the inner surface forms a space capable of accommodating the cylindrical rod body 2 and the engagement portion 16 formed by curving. The internal shape of the cylindrical portion 21 can be variously considered depending on the dimensions of the rod body and the shape of the engagement portion 16, and is not limited to a specific form.
In this way, the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention allows the rod body 2 to be inserted up to the thicker part of the reel seat body 12 inside the reel seat body (the cylindrical portion 21 of the tubular portion 15 is thicker than the concave portion 22), making it possible to provide a reel seat that is compatible with both round and low-profile double-shaft reels, is less likely to lose strength, and can significantly increase durability, even when a structure is adopted in which the position of the reel leg mounting portion of the reel seat is offset in a direction downward relative to the axis of the base rod.
Next, referring to Figure 4, the cross-sectional structure of the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described. Figure 4 shows the B-B cross section of Figure 2. As shown in the figure, in the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, when the rod body 2 is inserted (and the movable hood 13 is in the position shown in Figure 2), the rod body 2, the reel seat main body 12 (the cylindrical portion 15 or the concave portion 22), and the nut member 18 are arranged in this order from the inside when a cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the cylindrical portion 15 is viewed in a direction from the center axis of the cylindrical portion 15 toward the upward direction (the upward direction in the vertical direction of the paper of Figure 4), and when a cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the cylindrical portion 15 is viewed in a direction from the center axis of the cylindrical portion 15 toward the downward direction (the downward direction in the vertical direction of the paper of Figure 4), the rod body 2 and the nut member 18 are arranged in this order from the inside, and a space through which the movable hood 13 passes is formed between the rod body 2 and the nut member 18. In this way, the engaging portion 16 of the movable hood 13 is able to move back and forth in the axial direction of the reel seat 9 in the cut-out portion of the concave portion 22 of the tubular portion 15. Here, as shown in FIG. 4, the concave portion 22 is formed in a concave shape with an opening in the downward direction, thereby reducing the weight of the tubular portion 15 of the reel seat body 12. In this way, the tubular portion 15 includes a cylindrical portion 21 and a concave portion 22, and although it does not form a complete cylinder, it can be said to be a tubular portion 15 with a portion of it cut out (the same applies throughout this specification).
Next, referring to FIG. 6, the structure of the moving hood 13 in the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention will be described. Both FIG. 6(a) and (b) are perspective views (the former is seen from diagonally above, and the latter is seen from diagonally below). As shown, the moving hood 13 has an engagement portion 16 and a hood portion 17, and the engagement portion 16 is formed in an arc shape or curved shape when viewed in a cross section perpendicular to the axial direction of the cylindrical portion 15 (the cross section shown in FIG. 4). In this way, the inner surface is firmly attached to the surface of the fishing rod body 2, and the male screw portion provided on the outer surface can be screwed into the female screw portion formed on the inner surface 18a of the nut member 18. The angle of the arc of the engagement portion 16 of the moving hood 13 is in the range of 70 degrees to 90 degrees.
Also, as shown in FIG. 6, in the movable hood 13 in the reel seat according to one embodiment of the present invention, the engagement portion 16 and the hood portion 17 are offset in the radial direction of the central axis of the reel seat 9 (the hood portion 17 is formed inward of the engagement portion 16 in the radial direction of the central axis of the reel seat 9). When the engagement portion 16 and the hood portion 17 are offset, a connection portion 19 is provided between the engagement portion 16 and the hood portion 17, which extends perpendicular to the central axis of the reel seat 9 and connects the engagement portion 16 and the hood portion 17. In this way, by adjusting the length of the connection portion 19, the fishing rod body itself can be inserted up to the portion where the reel seat body has a thick structure.
The fishing rod 1 according to one embodiment of the present invention is configured to include any of the reel seats 9 described above and a rod body 2.
A fishing rod equipped with a reel seat according to one embodiment of the present invention can be provided with a reel seat that is compatible with both round and low-profile reels, and is less likely to lose strength and can significantly increase durability, even when a structure is adopted in which the position of the reel leg mounting portion of the reel seat is offset in a direction downward relative to the axis of the base rod. More specifically, a structure can be adopted in which the rod body itself can be inserted up to the part where the reel seat body has a thick structure, preventing stress concentration in low-strength parts and enabling an offset reel seat structure with sufficient strength.
また、該リールシート12の材料として、GFRTP(連続繊維)、GFRTP(不連続繊維)、CFRTP(連続繊維)、CFRTP(不連続繊維)又はハイブリッドで形成するようにしてもよい。
Here, in the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, the reel seat body 12 can be formed from carbon fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP), glass reinforced plastic (GFRP), Al or Mg. The reel seat 12 may also be formed from a material such as GFRTP (continuous fiber), GFRTP (discontinuous fiber), CFRTP (continuous fiber), CFRTP (discontinuous fiber) or a hybrid. By forming it from such materials, it is possible to suppress an increase in weight while ensuring sufficient rigidity and strength.
Next, as shown in FIG. 7, in the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, a first side recess 27 is formed on the lower side surface in the front region of the intermediate connecting portion 24 of the reel seat body 12, and a second side recess 28 is formed on the lower side surface in the rear region of the intermediate connecting portion 24. These first side recess 27 and second side recess 28 may be provided as a pair on the left and right of the lower side surface of the intermediate connecting portion 24. A recess may also be provided on the upper upper surface of the front region of the intermediate connecting portion 24. The first side recess 27 or the recess on the upper upper surface ensures clearance at the end of the reel seat, reducing the risk of contact with the fishing line, and the finger placement recess on the side or upper surface can eliminate rod shaking. In addition, the second side recess 28 makes it easier to hold without having to grip it tightly, and the position for placing the fingers is clear, allowing for stable casting and reeling. As shown in the figure, in the reel seat 9 according to one embodiment of the present invention, a bottom recess 29 is formed in the bottom of the central region of the intermediate connection portion 24 of the reel seat body 12. In this way, when the fishing rod is raised and the tackle is reeled in, the index finger comes into contact with the bottom recess 29, preventing the fishing rod from shifting downward, and by placing the middle finger on the bottom recess 29 to stabilize the fishing reel when casting, it is possible to increase stability and improve casting accuracy. Here, at least one or two of the first side recess 27, the second side recess 28, and the bottom recess 29 may be provided.
