Description
SHAFT ASSEMBLY FOR FIXING A SPRING IN A WINDER
The present invention refers to a shaft assembly for fixing a spring in a winder .
In particular, the invention refers to a shaft assembly configured to facilitate the assembly of a spring in a winder, for example an electric cable winder .
Winders are known suitable for winding and unwinding a technically windable body, for example an electric cable , comprising a coil spring which includes an internal end to the spiral , fixed to a shaft which is in turn fixed to a flange and an external end to the spiral , fixed to a casing inside which the technically windable body is wrapped .
In particular, the internal end of the spring spiral is configured to engage with a seat obtained in the shaft , said shaft being fixed to the centre of the flange to rotate it so as to wind and unwind the technically windable body connected thereto .
These known winders have the problem of not
allowing an easy insertion, during the production step, of the internal end of the spring spiral into the seat made in the shaft , making assembly di f ficult .
Obj ect of the present invention is providing a shaft assembly which allows an easy assembly of the internal end of the spring spiral in the shaft assembly, in particular facilitating the insertion of the internal end of the spring spiral into the seat obtained in the shaft assembly .
The above and other obj ects and advantages of the invention, as will appear from the following description, are achieved with a shaft assembly for fixing a spring in a winder such as that described in the independent claim . Preferred embodiments and non-trivial variants of the present invention form the subj ect matter of the dependent claims .
It is understood that the attached claims form an integral part of this description .
It will be immediately obvious that countless variations and modi fications can be made to what i s described ( for example related to shape , dimensions , arrangements and parts with equivalent functionality) without departing from the scope of the invention as appears from the attached claims .
The present invention will be better described by a preferred embodiment thereof , provided by way of a non-limiting example , with reference to the attached drawings , in which :
- Figure 1 shows an exploded view of a shaft assembly for fixing a spring in a winder according to the present invention;
- Figure 2 shows two perspective views of a pin for a shaft assembly for fixing a spring in a winder according to the present invention;
- Figure 3 shows two perspective views of a shaft for a shaft assembly for fixing a spring in a winder according to the present invention; and
Figure 4 shows a perspective view of a spring attached to a shaft assembly for fixing a spring in a winder according to the present invention .
Referring to the Figures , the shaft assembly 10 of the present invention for fixing a coil spring 4 in a winder, for example an electric cable winder, comprises : a hollow shaft 1 , preferably made of metallic material , configured to be fixed, for example by means of screws or by interlocking at one of its ends 16 in the shape of a parallelepiped, to the centre of a flange of the
winder to rotate it so as to wind and unwind a technically windable body, for example an electric cable , connected to said flange ; a pin 2 , preferably made o f plastic material , for example o f acetal resin, configured to be mounted, for example fixed by interlocking means , inside the hollow shaft 1 ; engaging means 3 configured to secure an internal end 5 of the coil spring 4 to the pin 2 when it is mounted inside the hollow shaft 1 , so as to allow winding and unwinding o f the coil spring 4 and consequent rotation of the flange to wind/unwind the technically windable body contained in the winder .
Preferably, the interlocking means for fixing the pin 2 inside the hollow shaft 1 comprise a protruding element 21 made on the surface of the pin 2 and a slot 11 obtained in the wall of the hollow shaft 1 , configured to be fixed to fit when the pin 2 is slidably inserted in an axial direction inside the shaft 1 , making the protruding element 21 slide into the slot 11 , for example through a facilitating opening 14 obtained in the wall of the shaft 1 at of its base 15 to facilitate the insertion of the protruding element 21 .
Preferably, the protruding element 21 includes
at least one tooth 22 and the slot 11 includes a shaped portion 12 , for example consisting of at least one recess 12 made in correspondence with the opening 14 , configured to fit together .
Preferably, the engaging means 3 for fixing the internal end 5 of the coil spring 4 to the pin 2 comprise a seat 23 made in the pin 2 above the protruding element 21 so as to be located in correspondence with the slot 11 when the pin 2 i s mounted inside the hollow shaft 1 ; preferably, the seat 23 includes a facilitating opening 24 obtained in the pin 2 in correspondence with its end 25 opposite the protruding element 21 to facilitate the insertion of the internal end 5 of the spring 4 into the seat 23 ; in particular, the internal end 5 of the spiral of the spring 4 forms a hook 6 configured to engage in the seat 23 .
In the operation of the shaft assembly 10 for fixing a spring in a winder according to the invention, during assembly the internal end 5 of the coil spring 4 is easily inserted into the seat 23 of the pin 2 through the opening 24 ; the shaft assembly 10 is then mounted, keeping the internal end 5 of the coil spring 4 inside the seat 23 , while the pin 2 is inserted in a sliding manner in
the axial direction inside the shaft 1 , so that the spring 4 steps into the slot 11 and the protruding element 21 is inserted into the slot 11 to fix the interlocking means , for example by inserting at least one tooth 22 into the corresponding shaped portion 12 of the slot 11 , deforming the slot 11 in correspondence with the opening 14 to allow the insertion of tooth 22 .
Advantageously, the shaft assembly 10 for fixing a spring in a winder according to the invention allows an easy assembly of the internal end 5 to the spring spiral 4 in the seat 23 obtained in the shaft assembly 10 , in particular facilitating the insertion of the hook 6 formed at the internal end 5 of the spring spiral in the seat 23 obtained in the pin 2 .
