Benefiting from educational facilities and providing learning comfort for students is of special importance for education to the point where we have shifted from traditional educational methods to modern schools with various technologies. The apparently simple but extremely important equipment such as desks and chairs are one of the inseparable elements of schools and the education system of any country.
Technological development is observed in numerous fields, however, the traditional way of designing, producing, and providing desks still continues strongly.
One of the crucial issues that should not be overlooked from the perspective of education facilitation is the physical growth of the new generation, which can be seen in Tables 1 and 2 listed in the maps section.
The new generation students are in the first rank by an approximate amount of height increase compared to their previous generations. Relying on the principles of the theory of generations, first proposed in 1973 by philosopher and sociologist, Karl Mannheim, today's generation witnesses an increasing height increase. The percentage of height increase in men and women has increased by approximately 14% during a one-century survey which in turn is a significant figure.
First point: Consider a tall student who has to sit behind a school desk and chair, with the constant problem of adjusting the desk height and the discomfort at the desk.
The second point: Consider a student with a shorter height (shorter than the reasonable limit) who keeps his feet on the floor with difficulty when sitting on a chair, and the desk height is not suitable for him.
Therefore, based on countless pictures-writings and unsaid words, one may think that not only technology has not significantly contributed to facilitating education and learning (of course, it is not pure unfairness), but also the traditional method still plagues different generations, even the upcoming generations, therefore, we need to find a solution.
This may look easy and understandable, but we should bear in mind that with the outbreak of the pandemic coronavirus and, unfortunately, interference with the entire normal affairs of human life, we witnessed the closure of schools, the development of electronic training, and the holding of online training courses and webinar. In some communities, hybrid courses are held which once again, unfortunately, had many drawbacks, these drawbacks are as follows:
Forgetting educational materials at home (due to the existence of a hybrid education system)
Lack of willingness to attend class
Interest in attending online classes at home
Not holding books, notes, or pamphlets of the subject
Failure to activate video and microphone during the virtual presence in class, etc.
Here is another issue, in addition to facilitating attendance in the class (attendance of absence in principle), increasing the number of online games, watching movies while attending the online class, students' lack of attention to the subjects, etc. does technology facilitate education? Of course not.
It is now the turn of Metaverse technology to provide an education platform for more activity and interaction and develop a new and innovative window regarding learning. Imagine a student who is not attending the hybrid class and is unwilling to participate when he is at home. Now is the time for the knowledge of Metaverse technology to provide students with an online physical presence so that they can not only participate in the class but also interact with their teacher, experience active presence and learn with the pleasure of presence.

Since the beginning of the education foundation, early people learned scriptures or poems at their homes by the older literate people. After the popularization of education and the spread of kuttabs, education centers, neighborhood education, etc., education took a different form where students completed different courses of study one after the other without any advanced facilities except for equipment such as notebooks, pens, pencils and erasers (if available and affordable). After the emergence of technology and the expansion of educational places to schools in different dimensions, and various facilities, as well as the use of technology in accelerating the educational process, we witnessed tremendous progress, both within education and in the nature of students’ learning and academic progress.
However, with the advancement of technology, we are still witnessing numerous problems that even in more advanced societies, we need to compensate for them and remove the discomfort caused by them, i.e. traditional desks and chairs.
By improving genetic performance and advancing genetic science, today's generation enjoys visible mental, psychological, and physical characteristics not so evident in previous generations. Of course, sometimes forgetting course materials by students, the impossibility of preparing course materials due to their high cost, the unmatched height of desks and chairs with the student's height, the discomfort, and the traditional nature of academic desks are still problematic and one of the factors why students do not provide suitable feedback.
In this project, the goal is to provide innovative and new solutions by tying new technology and metaverse to traditional methods to facilitate learning and progress and improve students' academic status and mental and especially physical health.
Solution of problem
Learning and education are integral to any powerful, advanced, and modern society. In order to benefit from the students’ maximum mental potential, new educational methods, accessible advanced technologies, and ease of working with them should be provided for them.
The smart green modern academic lectern of the metaverse is in fact a window to enter a world full of learning peace along with enjoying it, such that this feature allows the students’ physical presence in the school environment or presence at home and participation in its classes.
The desk has quite simple but remarkable features:
A: Desktop
Made of anti-impact carbon nanofiber (or improving the existing desks in schools and their re-engineering)
A digital writing board or light board (for taking notes or performing mathematical calculations without the need for a white sheet)
A side compartment containing educational equipment (e.g. scissors, set square, protractor, stencil, pen, fountain pen, etc.)
An LED to play the required book image on the screen (digital book display)
A Metaverse glasses case
A sensor and a face motion sensor

Examples
Academic progress relies on the presence of students in a lively, attractive, comfortable environment with mental, psychological, and physical peace. Considering the advances in technology, science, and industry, using traditional student desks is overlooking the educational cycle, which in turn means ignoring the students’ physiological and psychological needs.
In the smart schools of the future, not only Metaverse technology but also Metaverse smart desks and chairs will play an important role.
The interior class space will be built prepared for educational infrastructure from the beginning of the placement of the desks. After estimating the location of each desk and its engineering, the next step will include the required wiring under the floor. After placing the desks and chairs and connecting the desks to the floor wiring, it is time to set the desks with the main classroom and school server. At the time of registration of students, their information will be inserted by the informatics expert and the student's profile will be visible on the screen in front of the desk. The email address along with the flash drive will be provided to each student after synchronizing with his/her desk.
During the students’ presence in the school, they can adjust the desk height and tilt and chair by pressing a few buttons for the comfort of their head and neck position, and by holding the set 1 key, they can save the settings.
When students need to take notes or perform mental calculations such as mathematics, differential, etc. they can do the necessary actions with the benefit of a digital writing board without wasting any paper. If they need to save the content for future use, they will be able to save and exchange information with their email address (to access the information at home). In case of exchanging with other classmates, students can share with classmates after obtaining approval from the instructor and if they do not need the information, they can easily delete the information by pressing the delete button.
Now imagine a time when we need to conduct laboratory experiments and field investigations for some lessons related to the laboratory. Again, by choosing the traditional method and being in the laboratory, one can achieve the desired result (taking into account the existing risks), however, by using the modern method and connecting the desks and creating a bigger environment, and using VR glasses in a completely real-virtual and face-to-face manner, one can perform the relevant experiments.
And eventually, if a student is not able to attend the class, he can participate in the Metaverse class, the title of the desired course will be displayed at the head of the class and his virtual image will appear on the student's desk.
It is quite important that the screen in front of each desk shows the students’ mental states and characteristics in order to increase the teachers' accuracy of the students' reactions.
The system designed as a non-server system is connectable to the server and mother circuit and is operable in a networked and non-networked manner. It allows the exchange of information between users in the highest possible state between people present in the academic environment and people connected to the lecture in the form of a metaverse. With the descriptions provided in the text of the declaration, the industrial example of this design is the designed example (shown as hand-drawn in the maps and images section) and its use allows limiting, expanding, and upgrading the system or connecting to the network or without it according to the needs of the academic environment. This plan is completely academic and not industrial.

Claims (7)

  1. It is a smart and modern Metaverse desk, consisting of a height-adjustable desk, a top with a digital book display on the right side, a notepad on the left side of the desk, headphones on the left side, a camera on the upper right corner, a drawer built on the right side of the right side legs, required sockets on the left side of the desk, the screen in the front of the desk, a power cable embedded in the desk leg and the electronic circuit embedded in the desk, and finally the VR glasses specific to each desk, designed according to the conditions allowing the improvement of teaching and learning. It consists of the following components:
    1. The desk height and legs are adjustable according to the users’ height.
    2. The top panel has an electronic printed circuit equipped with a 16 or 32 mega IC programmed in AVR BASECOM language, responsible for the main control of the desk.
    3. Digital book display to display the contents of any type of book
    4. Notepad equipped with a pen for taking notes and saving content for later use
    5. Headphones installed in the headphone holder to communicate with people in other classes, cities, or countries
    6. Face recognition camera to analyze the student's mental state to send a report to the academic advisor and teacher
    7. Built-in drawer for storing educational equipment such as set square, protractor, spring dividers, etc.
    8. Sockets needed to communicate with any other type of device
    9. A display screen installed in front of the lectern to show the student's face
    10. Power cable to power the desk
    11. An electronic circuit as a CPU (central processing unit)
    12. VR glasses synchronized with the desk for the student's metaverse presence in the classroom
  2. As stated in claim 1, this device can adjust the height as well as the handle for adjusting the desktop slope.
  3. According to claim 1, the drawer built into the desk contains teaching and learning equipment such as a set square, spring dividers, protractors, etc.
  4. According to claim 1, the screen and notepad built on the desk provide the possibility of a digital book display for the user as well as taking notes while reading and learning the content and the built-in headphones will be of great help when one needs to listen to audio content.
  5. According to claim 1, it is possible to analyze the student's state of mind through the camera installed in the upper right corner of the desk, and the information is displayed on the screen on the desk for the advisor and instructor.
  6. According to claim 5, by connecting to the internet, the VR glasses can connect to a certain desk, and provide the metaverse face or the desired avatar of a student who is physically absent from school.
  7. Based on claim 6, the Metaverse green smart desk, equipped with an electronic circuit, allows connection to other desks through cables and without cables in the class, and all classes can communicate with each other by connecting to the mother server of the school in the school environment, or region, or city or on a larger scale of any country they intend.
