An oral composition having the composition shown in Test Example Table 1 was prepared. Specifically, each component was mixed and granulated to prepare granule powder (powdered beverage). The obtained granular powder was stored in a glass bottle at 50° C. for 2 days, and then 3 g of the granular powder (corresponding to 1 g of component (A)) was dispersed in 100 mL at room temperature to prepare a sample solution. The odor of the sample solution was sensory evaluated by 6 trained panelists. Specifically, the degree of unpleasant grassy odor peculiar to (A) component was evaluated by 10-step VAS evaluation (10 points: strong unpleasant smell, 1 point: no unpleasant smell), and 6 people The panelists' ratings were averaged to give an average score. When the average score of the sample solution prepared from the powdered beverage of Comparative Example 1 is set to 100, the relative value of the average score of the sample solution prepared from the powdered beverage of each Comparative Example and each Example is rounded off to the first decimal place. It was calculated as an evaluation value of "odor". It can be evaluated that the smaller the calculated "odor" evaluation value, the higher the odor suppressing effect. Table 1 shows the results obtained.

As is clear from Table 1, the unpleasant odor peculiar to component (A) could be suppressed by combining component (A) with component (B) (Examples 1 to 7). In particular, by combining component (A) with component (B) and component (C), the unpleasant odor peculiar to component (A) could be further suppressed (Examples 6 and 7).
In Examples 1 to 7, the component (B) was derived from Salacia chinensis. When replaced with an extract of Salacia reticulata or Salacia purinoides, the unpleasant odor peculiar to component (A) could be similarly suppressed.
