Description

DESCRIPTION DESCRIPTION
Title: Sliding and tightening I loosening system for a catenary support armament and method of installing such a system.
DOMAINE TECHNIQUE TECHNICAL AREA
The invention falls within the field of overhead power lines, also called overhead electric traction lines or catenaries. [0002] The invention is more particularly in the field of catenary support armaments above railway tracks.
ART ANTERIEUR ET INCONVENIENTS DE L’ART ANTERIEUR PRIOR ART AND DRAWBACKS OF PRIOR ART
[0003] In known manner, a railway track comprises longitudinal rails on which rolling railway equipment, in particular railway vehicles, circulates by drawing current from a catenary extending longitudinally above the way.
[0004] The catenary comprises at least one carrier cable and one conductive wire acting as a contact wire with a pantograph mounted on the railway vehicle. The carrier cable and the conductor wire extend in a direction substantially parallel to the rails and are interconnected by a plurality of connecting cables, called pendulums, extending perpendicular to the carrier cable and to the conductor wire.
[0005] The catenary is held above the railway track by supporting arms of said catenary distributed along the railway track and secured to support means, in particular posts, arranged along the railway track. The catenary fittings are then connected to the catenary carrier cable to keep it in the correct position.
[0006] European patent application EP 10730526.0 describes a catenary support armament comprising a bracket formed by a longitudinal H section extending perpendicularly to the rails, a stay supporting the bracket and the ends of which are respectively connected to the bracket and to the pole in question, a return arm whose ends are respectively connected to the console and to the conducting wire, and a supporting arm whose ends are respectively connected to the console and to the carrying cable. To allow fine adjustment of the position of the arms and the stay, their ends connected to the console are movable in translation on said console. Thus the carrier arm, the return arm and the stay are slidably connected to the H section forming the bracket by guide shoe systems. Once the correct position has been adopted for the arms and the stay, each pad system is tightened against the console using a four clamp device to lock its position on said console.
This solution nevertheless has drawbacks. Indeed, the load-bearing cable and the conductive wire as well as the stay exert stresses tending to oppose the movement by sliding of the pad system. However, the tightening of the guide shoe systems is tedious and there is in fact a risk that they slide along the console during tightening.
OBJECTIF DE L’INVENTION OBJECTIVE OF THE INVENTION
[0009] The invention therefore aims at a sliding and tightening system that is simpler and safer to use in order to avoid any sliding of said system during the blocking of its position on the arming console.

It is first specified that in the figures, the same references designate the same elements regardless of the figure in which they appear and regardless of the form of representation of these elements. Similarly, if elements are not specifically referenced in one of the figures, their references can easily be found by referring to another figure. It is also specified that the figures essentially represent one embodiment of the subject of the invention but that there may be other embodiments which meet the definition of the invention.
The invention can be applied to all types of overhead electric traction lines or catenaries, intended to supply rolling stock capable of capturing electric current flowing in these catenaries, and in particular railway rolling stock or vehicles. In the rest of the description, the invention will be described in connection with a railway track for railway rolling stock, but it is applicable to any type of catenary installed above a traffic lane.
[0028] The catenary extends above the rails of the railway line to ensure the electricity supply for vehicles traveling on said railway line. The catenary is kept suspended by a plurality of catenary support armaments: each armament is secured to support means, in particular a pole, a plurality of poles being arranged along the railway line all along the latter. Of course, a catenary support armament is attached to each post.
[0029] With reference to FIG. 1, a known catenary armament 2a will now be described. Such weaponry 2a comprises a console 3 comprising a first portion 4 and a second portion 6 interconnected. The first portion 4 is connected by a free end to the post in question 5 arranged along the roadside, which post 5 extends in a substantially vertical direction. In addition, this first portion 4 comprises an inclined part to facilitate the flow of water during bad weather.
[0031] In order to avoid the formation of a film of water on the first portion 4, the latter comprises evacuation means formed by teeth 64 distributed over the length of a lower part of the first portion 4, that is to say on the part which is oriented towards the railway, which teeth extend in the vertical direction. These teeth 64 facilitate the flow of rainwater and prevent the formation of a film of water likely to generate electric arcs. In the remainder of the description, the term “lower” will be associated with any structure oriented facing the railway track, and the term “upper” will be associated with any structure oriented facing the catenary. Further, the "down" direction means a direction oriented vertically towards the track, the "up" direction being the opposite direction.
Particularly advantageously, the evacuation means comprise electrical insulation fins in the shape of an inverted U 65 extending projecting from the upper face and the side faces of the first portion 4 of the console 3. As illustrated in Figure 1, the evacuation means comprise five isolation fins 65 which are spaced from each other. The shape of the fin 65 makes it possible to increase the electrical path - the curvilinear distance on the surface of the first portion of the bracket 3 - between the catenary and the post 5 in order to avoid the formation of electric arcs.
The ends of the branches of the fins 65, which are oriented downwards, are convergent so as to promote the evacuation of raindrops. The ends of the branches of the fins 65 extend lower than the longitudinal edge of the first portion 4 of the console 3 to allow the evacuation of the raindrops which are stopped by the fins 65 and which descend along the side walls of the first portion 4 by gravity.
The second portion 6 of the bracket 3, which is connected to the catenary, extends from an opposite end of the first portion 4 in a direction perpendicular to the post 5. In addition, this second portion 6 is formed by a longitudinal profile with an H-section and comprises two planar so-called mounting walls 22, 23 arranged facing each other and extending in substantially horizontal planes, said mounting walls 22, 23 being interconnected by a connecting wall 24 which extends perpendicular to the two mounting walls 22, 23.
The armament 2a also comprises a stay 16, a first end 18 of which is pivotally connected to the post 5 and a second end 17 of which is connected by a pivot to a sliding and clamping device 1a of known type.
The sliding and clamping device 1a of known type comprises a jaw bolted around the longitudinal edges of the upper mounting wall 22 by four bolts. In the remainder of the description, the longitudinal edges of the mounting walls 22, 23 will be referred to as wings.
[0037] When the bolts are unscrewed, the jaws can slide along the upper mounting wall 22 to position the stay 16. Once the stay 16 is correctly positioned, the bolts of the device 1a are tightened to bring said device 1a in an active clamping position and thus lock the sliding and clamping device 1a in the chosen position.
[0038] The sliding and tightening device further comprises an anchoring plate secured to the jaw and pivotally connected to the considered free end 17 of the stay 16.
The armament 2a also comprises a first arm 19a said carrier arm 19a facing upwards, which carrier arm 19a comprises a cylinder 27 and a carrier clamp 29 secured to said cylinder 27 and connected to the carrier cable of the catenary, the clamp 29 supporting and immobilizing the carrying cable. The carrier arm 19a is further secured to an anchoring plate 14a of a second sliding and clamping device 1a mounted around the flanges of the upper mounting wall 22. This anchoring plate 14a comprises a base secured to the jaw of the second device 1a and a tube extending perpendicular to the base and in which is housed and welded the end of the cylinder 27 opposite its free end.
[0040] Armament 2a also comprises a second arm 20a oriented downwards and comprising a cylinder 28 whose free end is connected to a return arm 21, which return arm 21 comprises a free end 30 connected to the conductive wire of the catenary, also called contact wire. The second arm 20a is furthermore connected to an anchoring plate 14b of a third sliding and clamping device 1a mounted around the flanges of the lower mounting wall 23, which plate 14b is identical to the anchoring plate 14a of the first device 1a. The base of the anchor plate 14b is secured to the jaw of the third sliding and clamping device 1a, and the end part of the cylinder 28 opposite its free end is secured to the tube of said anchor plate 14b .
In order to move the sliding and clamping devices 1a along the second portion of the console 3, the use of a strong pulling type movement system (not shown) is necessary, because said devices sliding and tightening 1a are subjected to forces generated in particular by the radial mechanical tension of the cables of the catenary, and also by the mechanical tension generated by the stay 16 which comprises a portion forming a tensioner in the vicinity of its free end which is connected to the anchor plate considered. The force generated by the strong pull causing an arching of the base 14a, 14b of the sliding and clamping device 1a, maintaining said sliding and clamping devices 1a in their position before tightening the bolts is difficult . To facilitate the correct positioning of the stay 16, of the first supporting arm 19a and of the second arm 20a, it is necessary to limit and facilitate the tightening operations of the sliding and tightening device 1a.
For this purpose and according to the invention, the catenary armament 2 comprises an improved sliding and clamping system 1, solving the problems described above.
[0043] Figure 2 shows part of the H section forming the second portion 6 of the bracket 3. Three sliding and clamping systems 1 according to the invention are shown: a first mounted around the flanges of the upper mounting wall 22 and pivotally connected to the considered free end 17 of the stay 16, a second also mounted around the wings of the upper mounting wall 22 and connected in translation to the support arm (not shown) and a third mounted around the wings of the lower mounting wall 23 and secured to the second arm (not shown).
With reference to Figures 2 to 7, the sliding and clamping system 1 of the invention will now be described. The system 1 comprises a base 7, a clamping device called a clamping wedge 9 because of its shape, a device 10 for locking the wedge 9 in the base 7 and an anchoring plate 13 - 15.
Referring to Figures 3 to 5, the base 7 has the general shape of a straight block with a rectangular base, extending along a longitudinal axis X parallel to the longitudinal axis of the H section on which said base 7 is climb.
The base 7 comprises two longitudinal side walls 31, 32 facing each other and two transverse side walls 33, 34, respectively called the front wall 33 and the bottom wall 34. The base 7 further comprises a wall upper 36 and a lower wall 35 facing the upper mounting wall 22 of the H section on which the base 7 is mounted.
The base 7 comprises a longitudinal cavity 8 made over its entire length in the lower wall 35. This cavity 8 is formed by a T-slot 80 and a housing 81 for the clamping wedge 9 superimposed on the T groove 80, the housing 81 opening into the T groove 80 and vice versa. In other words, the housing 81 and the T-slot 80 are communicating.
The T-slot 80 allows the wings of the corresponding mounting wall 22, 23 to be received, as will be described later in connection with a method for installing the sliding and clamping system 1 of the invention. Finally, the housing 81 includes a longitudinal notch 83 formed in the side wall 32, at its internal face (that is to say in the receiving cavity 8).
[0050] The whole of the cavity 8 emerges from the front wall 33, while only the notch 83 and the T-slot 80 emerge from the bottom wall 34.
The upper wall 36 adopts a particular shape, complementary to that of the corner 9 which will be described below. This upper wall 36 comprises a central longitudinal wall 37 in which is formed a slot 38 which extends from the edge of the bottom wall 34 to the vicinity of a central zone of the central wall 37. In addition, as is clearly visible in particular in Figure 4, the bottom wall 34 comprises a notch 25 formed at the level of the upper edge of said bottom wall 34, which upper edge which also serves as the edge of the slot 38. The notch 25 and light 38 are therefore communicating.
The upper wall 36 also comprises two longitudinally inclined walls 39, 40, symmetrical with respect to the longitudinal axis X and arranged on either side of the central wall 37. Finally, the upper wall 36 includes a central longitudinal groove 41 formed in the receiving cavity, and more particularly in the central wall 37 at its inner face.
[0054] With reference to Figures 2, 5 and 6, the sliding and clamping system 1 comprises an anchoring plate 13, 14, 15 secured to the base 7.
A first variant of the anchor plate 14 is shown in Figure 2. This plate 14 comprises a base 140 secured to the upper wall 36 of the base 7, for example using screws 42 screwed into tapped holes 43 made in the base 7 (see Figures 3 and 4). The anchoring plate 14 also comprises a tube 141 extending upwards perpendicular to the base 140 and reinforcing fins 142 of said tube 141. Furthermore, the carrier arm (not shown) is slidably housed in the tube 141 until one of its ends comes into abutment against the central wall 37 of the base 7. The carrier arm is then secured to the tube 141 to lock its position vis-à-vis said tube 141 by a system of wedging by cams and screws located at the top of the tube 141 .
A second variant of the anchor plate 15 is shown in Figure 5. This plate 15 comprises a base 150 secured to the upper wall 36 of the base 7. The anchor plate 15 also comprises a tube 151 s extending perpendicularly to the base 150 and in which the second arm is housed and secured by another wedging system by cams and screws located at the top of the tube 151. The second arm is also connected to the return arm (not shown). In addition, the plate 15 includes reinforcing fins 152 of the tube 151. This second variant of the anchor plate 15 is close to the first variant 14.
A third variant of the anchor plate 13 is shown in Figure 6. In this variant, the plate 13 also comprises a base 130 secured by screwing to the base 7, and a triangular projection 131 extending perpendicular to the base 130. This projection 131 comprises a through hole 132 provided to receive a shaft connected to the considered free end 17 of the stay 16 and thus form an articulated connection between the anchor plate 13 and the free end 17 of the stay 16 .
With reference to Figure 7, the clamping wedge 9 will now be described.
The corner 9 extends along a longitudinal axis Y and includes a bottom wall called bottom 44 and two longitudinal side walls 51, 53. The corner 9 also includes a so-called front end and a so-called rear end. The corner 9 comprises a hollow longitudinal central part 45 delimited by two substantially rectangular longitudinal side walls 47, integral with the bottom wall 44 of the corner 9 and extending perpendicularly to said bottom wall 44, and a transverse side wall 46 formed at the front end of the corner 9 and in which is formed a through-threaded hole 26 whose function will be described below. This central part 45 is open at the rear end of wedge 9, so that the threaded hole 26 is accessible from the rear end of wedge 9.
The corner 9 comprises two clamping parts 48, 49 symmetrical with respect to the Y axis and arranged on either side of the central part 45. Each clamping part 48, 49 comprises two longitudinal plates 50 - 53 of trapezoidal shape each secured to the bottom wall 44 by a so-called connecting edge. The trapezoidal longitudinal plates 50 - 53 extend parallel to the longitudinal side walls 47 of the central part 45.
The free edge 54 opposite the connecting edge of each trapezoidal plate 50-53 is inclined with respect to the bottom wall 44 of the corner, this inclination being downward from the front end towards the rear end of the corner 9.
The trapezoidal end walls 51, 53 form the longitudinal side walls of the corner 9. In addition, the adjacent trapezoidal walls 52, 53; 50, 51 are spaced apart by a distance equal to the spacing between each transverse wall 47 of the central part 45 and the adjacent trapezoidal plate 50, 52.
Finally, the bottom wall 44 of the corner comprises feet 55 projecting perpendicularly from said bottom wall 44 in the extension of the trapezoidal plates 50 - 53.
The sliding and clamping system 1 finally comprises means 10 for locking the wedge 9 in the base 7, which locking means comprise in particular a screw 11 comprising a head 56, the through-threaded hole 26 arranged to cooperate with the screw 11 and a lock nut 12. The locking means 10 further comprise and in a non-limiting manner two washers 57, 58 arranged around the screw 11 and the spacing of which is controlled by a nut 59 screwed close to the head 56 and blocked for example by a counter nut. This precise spacing is equal to the thickness of the bottom wall 34 of the base 7 at the level of the notch 25, increased by a positioning clearance. The installation and positioning of the sliding and clamping system 1 according to the invention will now be described with reference to Figures 8a to 8h.
[0067] Before the installation of the base 7 on the H section 6, and if necessary before the securing of the anchoring plate 13 - 15 on the base 7, the locking screw 11 is inserted in slot 38 so that its free end projects at the level of wall 33 of base 7, and so that its opposite end part rests in notch 25. More specifically, the two washers 57, 58 are respectively vis-à-vis the opposite faces of the bottom wall 34 of the base 7, and bear against one or the other of said faces during the operation of the locking means 10. This system of washers 57 , 58 and nut 59 therefore makes it possible to position the locking screw 11 in the notch 25. Of course, any other means allowing this positioning of the screw 11 in the notch 25 falls within the scope of the invention.
The positioning of the base 7 around the flanges of the upper mounting wall 22 of the H section 6 is first described with reference to FIGS. 8a to 8e.
During a first step shown in Figure 8a, a first wing of the mounting wall is housed in the notch 83 made in the cavity 8 in the considered longitudinal side wall 32.
The base 7 is then gradually lowered so that the two wings of the mounting wall 22 are housed in the cavity 8 of the base 7, as shown in Figures 8b to 8d.
Finally, the wing considered is disengaged from the longitudinal notch 83 by translation of the base in a direction perpendicular to the H section 6, so that the wings of the upper mounting wall 22 rest only in the groove T 80 on the bottom wall 35 of the base 7, as shown in Figure 8e.
Of course, the installation of the base 7 on the lower mounting wall 23 of the H profile 6 is carried out in the same way.
[0073] With reference to Figures 8f to 8h, the placement of wedge 9 in base 7 will now be described.
As shown in Figures 8f and 8g, the wedge 9 is partially inserted by its rear face longitudinally into the housing 81, and the screw 11 is inserted and pre-screwed into the hole 26 until the free end of said screw 11 protrudes from the wall 46 of the hollow longitudinal central part 45 of the wedge 9. By pre-screwing is meant the screwing of the screw 11 in the tapped hole 26 without the wedge 9 being fully inserted into the housing 81 of the base, and without the clamping parts 48, 49 of said wedge 9 coming into contact with the upper wall 36 of the base 7. In addition, the legs 55 of the corner 9 are in contact with the upper face of the upper wall 22 of the H-section.
[0075] At this stage, the corner 9 not being completely inserted in the cavity 8 (see figure 8g), the free edges 54 of the corner 9 are not in contact with the inclined walls 39 and 40 of the base 7. In addition, the side walls 47 of the hollow central part 45 of the corner 9 are opposite the groove 41 and are in contact with the considered wall 37 of the base 7 to allow the sliding of the base 7 along the H profile 6. The sliding and clamping system 1 can then be made movable in translation along the H profile 6, to be moved to a determined position. In order to be able to interact with movement means of the strong pulling type, the sliding and tightening system 1 comprises ears 60 projecting from the longitudinal side walls 31, 32 of the base 7 (an ear 60 is shown projecting from the wall 31 in Figures 3 to 5).
Once this determined position has been reached, the screw 11 is screwed by force into the tapped hole 26 causing the sinking of the wedge 9 into the housing 81 until the edges 54 come into contact with the inclined walls. 39 and 40 of the base 7. A first force is therefore exerted by the edges 54 against the inclined walls 39 and 40, while a second force is exerted by the feet 55 against the upper face of the upper wall 22. wings of this upper wall 22 are therefore clamped between the internal face of the lower wall 35 of the base 7 and the feet 55 of the corner 9, which itself is blocked in the housing 81. The system 1 is therefore blocked in the determined position. A lock nut 12 is then screwed using suitable tools 63 at the level of the free end of the screw 11 until it comes into contact with the transverse side wall 46 of the wedge 9 to block the rotation of the screw 11 and thus prevent any accidental release of the wedge 9. The wedge 9 is therefore secured in the base 7.
The locking edges 54 and the feet 55 have the advantage of having a small contact surface, which increases the bearing pressure of said feet 55 and edges 54 against the walls considered and facilitates the blocking of the system 1 without requiring too much effort to insert the wedge 9 into the cavity 8 of the base 7.
[0078] The disengagement of the wedge 9 during a removal operation of the sliding and tightening system 1 will now be described.
[0079] To perform the removal of the wedge 9, the lock nut 12 must first be unscrewed and removed, then the head 56 of the screw 11 is rotated using the appropriate tools 63, thus causing the longitudinal displacement of the latter until the washer 58, facing the internal face of the wall 34, comes into contact with the wall 34, (this displacement corresponding to the initial clearance between the washers 57, 58 and the wall 34 of the base 7). By continuing the rotation of the screw head 56, the support described above forces the wedge 9 to unjam and come out of the cavity 8 and thus allow the central longitudinal groove 41 of the base 7 to come into contact with the edges 47 of the corner 9, thus creating at the level of the mounting walls 22 or 23, the play necessary to be able to move the system 1 longitudinally on the H-beam 6.
The system and the method of the invention therefore make it possible to easily tighten the system of the invention 1 by acting on a single and unique locking screw 11 . Maintaining the position of the system 1 during the tightening operation is therefore facilitated and the tightening carried out more quickly. In addition, the loosening of the locking screw 11 causes the unlocking of the wedge 9, so that it is easy to refine the adjustment of the position of the sliding and clamping system 1 along the H profile 6, previously when tightening the locking screw 11 followed by fitting the lock nut 12.
