Description

[Title established by the ISA under Rule 37.2] COOKING DEVICE PROVIDING EASE OF USE
The present invention relates to a cooking device providing ease of use.
In ovens, the cooking process is performed by dissipating the heat generated by the heater into the cooking device by means of the fan. The air in the cooking device is heated by the heater and then dissipated by means of the fans. The heaters may reach very high temperatures in order to ensure a quality cooking process. Use of high capacity fans increases the quality of the cooking process and decreases the duration. Therefore, in particular in ovens suitable for industrial use with high cooking power, the capacities of the heater and the fan are very high. In order to prevent said components from harming the user, the components are covered by sheet metal. Components such as heater and fan are generally positioned behind the walls which surround the cooking cavity. Air and oil particles released by the foodstuffs during the cooking process stick on the fans and the heater. This causes the fans to get dirty in the course of time. The user cannot reach nor clean the fans positioned behind the walls which surround the cooking cavity. This adversely affects the foodstuffs being cooked in terms of health.
In the state of the art Great Britain Patent Document No. GB2057254, a cooking device is disclosed, which provides homogeneous cooking by means of an openable/closable lid which is disposed in the cooking cavity.
The aim of the present invention is the realization of a cooking device which provides ease of use.
The cooking device realized in order to attain the aim of the present invention, explicated in the first claim and the respective claims thereof, comprises a body; a cooking cavity wherein the foodstuffs are cooked; a casing which surrounds the cooking cavity; a heater which is provided in the cooking cavity and which provides the heating of the foodstuffs; and a fan. The air heated by the heater is directed onto the foodstuffs by means of the fan. Thus, the foodstuffs are enabled to be cooked in the cooking cavity.
The cooking device of the present invention comprises a lid which is arranged in the cooking cavity. When the lid is in the open position, the heater and the fans can be accessed via the cooking cavity. Thus, the user changes the lid to the open position and cleans the fan and the heaters. When the lid is in the closed position, the contact with the fan and the heater is prevented, thus providing safety of the user.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device comprises a shaft which extends vertically between the base and ceiling of the cooking cavity, and a plurality of wire shelves which are connected to the shaft. While one end of the wire shelf is fixed, the other end thereof moves into the cooking cavity when the lid is desired to be changed to the open position. When the lid is changed to the closed position, the wire shelf is positioned parallel to the lid.
In an embodiment of the present invention, the cooking device comprises the cooking cavity with one surface thereof being the lid. The lid forms one surface of the cooking cavity.
