Abstract

An air sensitive product (4) preservation device, e.g. wine. A stopper (2) is insertable into the container (1) via the open top (10) thereof. The stopper (2) comprises a stopper body (20) provided with a valve assembly (24) which controls one or more passages (25) that extend through the stopper body (20). This valve assembly (24) has an upward air passing state, a downward air passing state, and a sealing state in which the one or more passages (25) are sealed by the valve assembly (24) such as to prevent air to flow through the stopper (2) either upwardly or downwardly. One or more sealing elements (27, 3A) are provided to seal against the inner side surface (14, 30) of the container (1), at least over an operative section (12) of its height. The stopper (2) further comprises one or more magnetic field stopper elements (27) mounted to the stopper body (20) and made out of a magnetic or magnetisable material. The device further comprises a user operable slider (3) that is configured to slide along the outer side surface (15) of at least the operative section (12) of the container (1). The slider (3) comprises one or more magnetic field slider elements (3A) made out of a magnetic or magnetisable material, such that when the slider (3) is arranged on the outer side surface (15) of the container (1) at the height of stopper (2) inside the container (1), an operative magnetic field is established in between the stopper (2) and the slider (3), such that by sliding the slider (3) up and down along the outer side surface (15) of the container (1), said stopper (2) is moved up and down along with the slider (3).
