Description
LOCK DEVICE WITH ALARM
THE RELATED ART The invention relates to a lock device with alarm protecting doors and windows of house, office etc. places against opening from the outside, and with this mechanism, also functioning as a child safety lock, and together with the opening protection it provides, at the same time, warns the people found, living, working, or residing in the house/office about this situation via a siren/alarm.
THE PRIOR ART
Robbery is one of the most important problems of the modern day. Various measures are taken at houses and offices against robbery; however, robbers keep robbing these places with new methods against every new measure taken. Shutters are mounted on the windows of houses and offices, guard dogs are kept at the gardens, and American doors with double locks are used for safety reasons. But, even these measures prove inadequate in time. Therefore, cameras and alarm systems have been used more commonly in recent years. One of the most commonly used methods by burglars is to open the lock system and sneak in. Therefore, locks empowered with modern technology have become much more important for safety of houses and offices. Alarm locks appear as the latest novelty of technology.
In the lock mechanism products used nowadays, when the door or the window protected by the lock mechanism is forced from outside, no function is available for warning the person staying inside. Similarly, in the alarm circuits used for deterrence purposes, no prevention or protection mechanism is available for preventing the action of breaking in. In the prior art magnetic alarm circuits, the alarm stops when the door or the window is closed back after opening, or brought back into its previous position, and in this case, the alarm circuit becomes inadequate in warning people. While it provides a deterrent effect in the first place, this deterrent effect is eliminated
when the contact of the magnetic fields is restored by closing the door, and the alarm stops.
At the same time, the prior art products only operate with an alarm sound. Even if the aiarm keeps ringing, the person can still ignore the alarm and break in. In these locks, there is no other mechanism than the alarm to prevent entrance into the places. In other words, if the burglar ignores the alarm and insists on entering inside, he/she can achieve this purpose by just pushing the door or the window. There is no other mechanism to prevent him/her from entering inside when he/she pushes the door or the window. At the same time, the prior art lock mechanisms only activate the alarm when the door or the window, to which they are installed, is forced. Individual lock mechanisms are required to be placed for each of the remaining doors or windows. In other words, there is no communication between the lock mechanisms found on the windows or doors. As a result, this increases the costs, since the lock mechanisms are required to be installed on each door or window, together with all of their components.
As a result of the literature research, various embodiments related to said lock mechanisms are encountered. The invention with application no TR 2011 04505, entitled: "High security (with burglar, fire, and impact alarm), remote controlled keyless door lock" is summarized as follows: "A high security (with burglar, fire, and impact alarm), remote controlled keyless door lock electromechanical product designed to prevent the prior art house and office door locking hubs from being tampered with or broken from outside by unwanted people / burglars, wherein the system comprises reciprocating steel lock barriers, 2 (actuating) motors, a main circuit card, a spare (recovery) circuit card, two 12 volt batteries, a 10 switch mode voltage dropper, a phone call module, window sensors, balcony door sensors, an aiarm speaker, a transformer voltage regulator, and an led screen. It has external remote control, and the control comprises on and off buttons, a panic button, and a recovery circuit button. The product consists of a locking box, an equipment box, and 2 striker plates. Since above said equipments and features are not found in other remote controlled door locks, even if they are controlled remotely, they still comprise a key component, which can be used to open the door by ill-intentioned people who want to break in. However, high security (with burglar, fire, and impact alarm), remote
controlled keyless door lock provides utmost security of life and property via its keyless feature and other security and safety measures."
This invention comprises a remote controlled door lock for preventing the burglar from entering into the place, instead of a classical door lock. However, since remote control can be imitated with modern technology, this system still lacks a mechanism to prevent pushing of the door backwards by force, after it is opened.
As a result of the literature research, another application we encountered is the utility model with application no 2008/03571 , entitled: "Automatic security lock with alarm". In the abstract of this invention with categorization no E05B 15/00, it is disclosed that: "The invention relates to an automatic security lock with alarm comprising an alarm system that prevents opening of PVC, aluminum, or wooden doors and windows from outside by force, and it is characterized in that; it comprises a body (1) comprising a button (3), a button lifter spring (4), a fastening piece (8), a latch rotation spring (12), an alarm (18), an electric circuit (19), an alarm on/off button (20), an alarm isolation contact piece (21), an alarm contact piece (22), a battery (23), an electric wire (24), an elevating piece (13), a plastic body cover (14), and a plastic cover (17); and a latch (2) fixed on the body (1) in a 90° collapsible manner, comprising a button (3), a button cover (25), a plastic pin (26), and cylindrical pins (15)."
In the above described application also an alarm system is provided. However, this alarm does not have a mechanism to prevent the burglar from entering into the house, even if it keeps ringing. As a result, improvement is to be made in the lock mechanisms with alarms, and therefore novel embodiments eliminating above said drawbacks and bringing solutions to prior art systems are needed.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to an lock device with alarm, which eliminates the above said drawbacks and brings novel advantages to the related technical field.
The main purpose of the invention is to warn house, office etc. owners via an alarm when a steel door, pvc terrace or window is forced from outside of these houses or offices and prevent the burglars from opening the doors or windows, by means of a mechanism found on the locks.
In this way; when the house or office owner is inside or outside the place, with the sound made by the lock device with alarm, it would both drive the burglar away from the place and also let the people around the place hear the sound. At the same time, even if the burglar ignores the sound and keeps trying to break in, he/she would be prevented from entering inside, since he/she would not be able to push the door or the window back due to the mechanism found on the door or the window.
Another purpose of the invention is to use the lock device with alarm as a child safety lock/latch at the same time. The mechanism found on alarm lock devices to prevent burglars from entering into a place, is not used merely for preventing burglary. Moreover, it provides safety for families with little children such that it prevents kids from opening the windows or doors and thus putting their lives into danger. Especially, for people living at higher floors of multi-storey buildings, this system provides a very effective method for child safety lock.
Another purpose of the invention is to eliminate the need for using all of the components of the alarm lock device on all doors or windows. While the alarm lock device can be used with all of its components on only one door or window, the other doors or windows can be fitted with a box containing only one of the components (RF transmitter). After a force is applied on the door or the window, an alarm circuit would inform a central alarm/siren found inside the house/office, and thus enable ringing of this siren. This signal is sent to the RF receiver found in the alarm lock device comprising all of the components. In other words, the mechanism operates as follows; when a force is applied on a door or a window, 433 MHz RF signals are sent to the RF receiver via wireless connection and a loud siren rings for a certain period of time via the alarm found within the alarm lock device.
Another purpose of the invention is to send the alarm information in SMS form to the house or office owner, since he/she can not hear the alarm when he/she isn't at
home or office. It performs this function via a GSM/GPRS module it comprises. Moreover, this GSM/GPRS module optionally allows dismissal of the ringing alarm via software by receiving an SMS sent by the user, in this way, mutual communication is provided between the user and the alarm and security system.
Another purpose of the invention is to enable access through communication via smart phones by means of software prepared in accordance with modern smart phones. In this way, the information is sent through the application found on the smart device, instead of GSM. The alarm dismissal information is also sent through the application.
Another purpose of the invention is to enable the house or office owner determine the length of the time interval during which the alarm would ring. The alarm siren would ring as long as the predetermined time interval in the software of the micro-controller unit found in the RF receiver circuit or until the person found inside the house/office sends the dismissal information to the RF receiver through the RF transmitter control.
For better understanding of the embodiments of present invention and its advantages with its additional components, it should be evaluated together with the below described figures. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE FIGURES

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a lock device with alarm (1), which meets the above said requirements, eliminates all of the drawbacks and brings about some additional advantages.
In this detailed description, the novelty of the present invention is disclosed via illustrative examples only for better understanding of the invention, without forming any limiting effect. According to this, in the below given description and figures, an lock device with alarm (1) comprising a latch (1.6), which is movable with 180 degrees of angle, prevents burglars from entering indoors from the doors or windows, and also acts as a child safety latch; an RF transmitter (1.2) which sends a signal
when the door or the window is forced; an RF receiver (1.1) which receives the signal sent by the RF transmitter and activates the system; and an alarm (1.5) which rings as a siren when the system is activated; and the components forming this mechanism are disclosed.
In the wireless alarm and security system, the radio frequency (RF) transmitters (1.2) are responsible for sending the warning signal wirelessly. These RF transmitters (1.2) can be placed in a lock device with alarm (1) mounted on doors or windows, or in a plastic etc. box (2) independent from the lock device with alarm (1) found on the doors or windows. RF transmitter (1.2) can be used in the form where it is placed in a plastic etc. box (2), or in the form where it is placed within the alarm lock device (1) positioned on a door/window, or in each form individually.
In other words, it is desired to be described here that; if the place to be supervised in houses or offices is only a door or a window; and if the RF transmitters (1.2) are found in a lock device with alarm (1), then the use of a single lock device with alarm
(1) would be sufficient. Since, as shown in Figure 6, the RF transmitter (1.2) is found within the lock device with alarm (1). Again, with the same conditions; if the place to be supervised in houses or offices is only a door or a window; and if the RF transmitters (1.2) are not found in a lock device with alarm (1) as in Figure 1, the lock device with alarm (1) is required to be used together with the box (2) shown in Figure 2, containing the RF transmitter (1.2). This system is shown in Figure 7.
The system can also be operated as follows. The boxes (2) containing the RF transmitters (1.2) can be positioned on all of the windows or doors found in houses or offices. That is to say, n number of boxes can be used as shown in Figure 4. In case the windows or doors, on which the RF transmitter (1.2) boxes (2) are positioned, are forced, the RF transmitters (1.2) send a signal to the RF receiver (1.1) containing the lock device with alarm (1), and then the alarm (1.5) becomes activated. In this case, the lock device with alarm (1) is installed on only one window or door, and the boxes
(2) containing the RF transmitters (1.2) are positioned on all of the doors or windows, including that one. Considering this, the task of the boxes (2), containing RF
transmitters (1.2) found on all of the doors or windows, is to give warning about the burglar entering into the place and also provide a deterrent effect via the alarm (1.5) for the burglar against entering into the place. However, there is no latch (1.6) on this box (2).
In another way of use; the boxes (2) can be placed on all of the windows or doors found in house or office etc. indoor spaces together with the lock device with alarm (1) containing the RF transmitters (1.2). In other words, n number of boxes can be positioned as shown in Figure 5. The inner mechanism view wherein the RF transmitter (1.2) is found within the lock device with alarm (1) is shown in Figure 6. In this way, no need is left for the box (2) containing the extra RF transmitter (1.2). Since the lock device with alarm (1) containing n RF transmitters (1.2) has a latch (1.6) on it; when the burglar forces the door or the window, both the alarm (1.5) will go off and even if the burglar still tries to enter into the place, ignoring the alarm (1.5), and tries to push open the door or the window, the door or the window would prevent the burglar from entering inside by bumping into the latch (1.6) shown in Figure 5. The latch (1.6) can be opened when desired, by pressing the latch button (1.6.1) found on the latch. In other words, the system can operate in more than one ways. In the first one of these; as can be seen from Figure-5, the system operates by means of installing lock device with alarm (1) to all of the windows or doors, together with RF transmitters (1.2); in the second one, as can be seen from Figure 7, a box (2) containing an RF transmitter (1.2) and a lock device with alarm (1) not containing RF transmitter (1.2) can be installed on each one of the doors or windows; in the third situation, as shown in Figure 8, a lock device with alarm (1) containing the RF transmitter (1.2) is installed on only one of the doors or windows, and boxes (2) containing RF transmitters (1.2) are installed on all of the remaining doors or windows; and in the fourth situation, a lock device with alarm (1) that does not contain an RF transmitter (1.2) is installed on a door or window, and a box (2) containing an RF transmitter (1.2) is positioned on each of the doors or windows, including the former door or window, as shown in Figure 4.
The energy requirement of the RF transmitter (1.2) is met by means of a battery (1.4) found within the lock device with alarm (1) or from a battery placed into the battery compartments (2.1) found inside the box (2). As a result of any force applied on the door or window, the switch found on the RF transmitter (1.2) would activate the RF transmitter (1.2) circuit, which would start signaling. The switch used here can be an on-off type, a tilt type, or a reed switch type switch.
The RF receiver (1.1) is found inside the lock device with alarm (1) together with other relevant equipment and modules. The view of this inner mechanism is given in Figure 3. The task of the RF receiver (1.1) is to detect the signals sent by the RF transmitters (1.2) operating in its receiving range and sending signals in appropriate frequency. The signal and the code structure sent by the RF transmitter (1.2) circuit used inside the lock device with alarm (1) or the box (2) goes through a mapping operation between the RF receiver (1.1) and the RF transmitter (1.2) via a mechanism found on the RF receiver (1.1) card. This is an operation conducted only once just before the first operation of all of the RF transmitters (1.2) to be placed in a house or office etc. place for communication with relevant RF receiver (1.1). In this way, although the RF receiver (1.1) detects the signals coming from all kinds of RF transmitters (1.2) found around, it only responds to the signals coming from the relevant and correct RF transmitters (1.2). Signaling between the RF transmitter (1.2) and the RF receiver (1.1) can be made by wired or wireless communication.
Power can be provided to the RF receiver (1.1) through the battery (1.4) found within the lock device with alarm (1) or through the mains. When the RF receiver (1.1) receives a previously introduced RF transmitter (1.2) signal, the alarm (1.5) connected to the output circuit found on the receiver being transmission of energy and the alarm (1.5) is activated with this transmission. This shows that, the alarm (1.5) would ring with the signal received by the RF receiver (1.1), in case one of the doors or windows with an alarm lock device (1) containing an RF transmitter (1.2) or a box (2) containing an RF transmitter (1.2) is forced. The alarm (1.5) ringing loudly has a deterrent effect on the person or people trying to break into the piace, and also warns/informs the people found inside or around the piace about the situation. The alarm (1.5) rings for the duration determined with the software found in the microcontroller unit of the RF receiver (1.1) circuit or until the alarm dismissing information
is sent to the RF receiver (1.1) through a control (3) via the RF transmitter (1.2) used by a person. The general view of the control is given in Figure 9. The design and the function buttons of the control may vary. In the security system, optionally a GSM/GPRS module (1.3) is found, which would be activated with the signal to be sent by the RF receiver (1.1) circuit following activation of the RF receiver (1.1). A GSM/GPRS module (1.3), a SIM card slot (1.3.1) and relevant peripheral units are found in this electronic circuit. GSM/GPRS module (1.3.1) can draw its power from the battery (1.4) or the mains. After signal is sent to the GSM/GPRS module (1.3) by the RF receiver (1.1), the system is responsible for sending a state of emergency message to the previously defined phone numbers via a SIM card inserted into the lock device with alarm (1) by the user. In this way, if the relevant person to that house or office is not found inside, he/she is informed by SMS about the present situation in the house or office. Moreover, the GSM/GPRS module (1.3) optionally allows dismissal of the ringing alarm via the software by receiving an SMS sent by the user. In this way, mutual communication is provided between the user and the alarm (1.5) and security system. Furthermore, the GSM/GPRS module (1.3) can also be reached by a smart device communication by means of software prepared in accordance with the operating systems of recently used smart devices.
The battery (1.4) found inside the alarm (1.5) and security system; is responsible for feeding the RF receiver (1.1), the GSM/GPRS module (1.3), and the alarm (1.5), when needed, it comprises rechargeable batteries and a charge control circuit (1.4.1). The charge control circuit (1.4.1) reduces the energy obtained from the mains to the required level to charge the batteries and thus ensures safe charging. Moreover, the rechargeable batteries are used to feed the lock device with alarm (1) when the energy from the mains is cut, and contributes to providing continuous energy for ensuring continuous security, when required.
In summary, the operation principle of the invention can be outlined as follows. When the doors or windows of houses or offices are forced from outside, RF transmitters (1.2) found inside a lock device with aiarm (1) send a radio frequency (RF) signal of 433 MHz. The signal sent by the RF transmitter (1.2) is detected by the RF receiver
(1.1) found inside the house. When it is confirmed that the detected signal is coming from an RF transmitter (1.2) found in the house, the system steps in and activates the alarm (1.5) circuit and the alarm (1.5) starts to ring. The alarm (1.5) keeps ringing for a certain time interval or until it is dismissed manually.
