前記ホワイトバランス用光量検出部により検出された前記複数の異なる波長の光ごとの前記光量に基づいて、生成される前記画像のホワイトバランスを調整することを特徴とするものである。
図1~図7を参照して、本発明の第1実施の形態を説明する。図1は、第1実施の形態に係る光走査型内視鏡装置の概略構成を示すブロック図である。図1において、光走査型内視鏡装置10は、スコープ20と、制御装置本体30と、ディスプレイ40とを、備えている。
上記第1実施の形態では、制御部からの補正量に基づいて、光源の発光強度を変更するようにしたが、ホワイトバランスの調整は、信号処理部17における画素信号の強度を補正することによって行うことも可能である。その場合、制御部31はR、G、Bの各色の信号の補正量を信号処理部17に送信し、信号処理部17でR、G、Bの画素ごとに対応する補正量を乗算する。この場合、光源33の各レーザ33R、33G、33Bの光量を変化させることなく、得られる画像のホワイトバランスを調整することが可能になる。
図8は、本発明の第2実施の形態に係る光走査型内視鏡装置の概略構成を示すブロック図である。また、図9は、図8のスコープの先端部の断面図である。本実施の形態は、第1実施の形態に係る光走査型内視鏡装置10において、投影用レンズ25に反射部51を設けることなく、内レンズ25aのフレネル反射による反射光を検出するようにしたものである。反射光の検出のためには、スコープ20の先端部24に配置した反射光受光部54を用いる。このため、光量バランス検出ファイバ14およびホワイトバランス用光量検出部39は設けていない。反射光受光部54は、光信号を電気信号に変換する素子であり、受光面を内レンズ25aの平面に対向して配置される。反射光受光部54としては、例えば、フォトダイオード(PD)を用いることができる。反射光受光部54は、スコープ20の内部を通る配線により制御部31に接続されている。その他の構成、作用は、第1実施の形態と同様であるので、同一または対応する構成要素には同一参照符号を付して説明を省略する。
図10は、本発明の第3実施の形態に係る光走査型内視鏡装置の概略構成を示すブロック図である。また、図11は、図10のA-A線断面図である。本実施の形態は、第2実施の形態に係る光走査型内視鏡装置10において、反射光受光部54に代えて、反射光受光部56(受光素子)を内レンズ25aの入射平面の外周に沿って配置したものである。反射光受光部56は、制御部31と図示しない配線で電気的に接続されている。その他の構成、作用は、第2実施の形態と同様であるので、同一または対応する構成要素には同一参照符号を付して説明を省略する。
図12は、本発明の第4実施の形態に係る光走査型内視鏡装置の概略構成を示すブロック図である。また、図13は、図12のスコープの先端部の断面図である。本実施の形態に係る光走査型内視鏡装置10は、第1実施の形態の光走査型内視鏡装置1において、内レンズ25aの反射部51に代えて、スコープの先端を覆うように円板状の透明な素材(例えばガラス)により形成されたキャップ58を装着したものである。キャップ58の内部には図14に示すように、キャップ58の外周に沿って円環状の反射領域60が設けられている。キャップ58の反射領域60が形成された面と、受光ファイバ12の入射面との間は離間している。反射領域60は、画像形成に使用される照明光の光路の外側に形成され、1回の走査で照明光の走査振幅が拡大し、反射領域60に反射されると、反射光の少なくとも一部が受光ファイバ12に入射するように配置されている。一方、第1実施の形態の光量バランス検出ファイバ14およびホワイトバランス用光量検出部39は設けていない。その他の構成、作用は、第1実施の形態と同様であるので、同一または対応する構成要素には同一参照符号を付して説明を省略する。
図15は、本発明の第5実施の形態に係る光走査型内視鏡装置の概略構成を示すブロック図である。また、図16は、図15の光損失測定用ファイバの配置を説明する図である。図16は、簡単のため各部の構成を、一部省略しまたは単純化して示している。本実施の形態は、第1実施の形態において、結合器34に代えて、結合・分波器34aを配置する。また、光量バランス検出ファイバ14に代えて、2本の光損失測定用ファイバ62が配置される。結合・分波器34aは、レーザ33R、33G、33Bの光路を同軸に結合するとともに、出力の一部を一方の光損失測定用ファイバ62に分岐させる。光損失測定用ファイバ62は、照明ファイバ12と同じ曲げ損失特性を有し、スコープ20内を少なくとも挿入部23の可撓性部分23aを往復するように延在するシングルモードファイバ(SMF)である。2本の光損失測定用ファイバ62は、スコープ20の先端部24の近傍で融着されるとともに、融着された端面が反射面64となっている。また、結合・分波器に接続されていない他方の光損失測定用ファイバ62は、ホワイトバランス用光量検出部66に接続されている。本実施の形態では、第1実施の形態と異なり内レンズ25aに反射部51は設けられていない。その他の構成、作用は、第1実施の形態と同様であるので、同一または対応する構成要素には同一参照符号を付して説明を省略する。
図17は、第6実施の形態に係る光走査型内視鏡装置の概略構成を示すブロック図である。第6実施の形態は、照明ファイバ11を通り先端部から射出された照明光の一部が、投影用レンズ25で反射された反射光を、同じ照明ファイバ11で受光して制御装置本体30に導光して検出するものである。このため、第1実施の形態の光走査型内視鏡装置10において、結合器34と照明ファイバ11との間に光分波器68を設け、光分波器68の一方の出力側にホワイトバランス用光量検出部70を接続している。光分波器68は、結合器34からの照明光を照明ファイバ11に出射させるとともに、投影用レンズ25の表面で反射され、照明ファイバ11を光源33方向に伝搬された反射光を、照明光の光路から分岐させてホワイトバランス用光量検出部70に出射させる。(説明のため、図17において、光分波器68の前後の光の進行方向を矢印でしめしている。)したがって、本実施の形態の照明ファイバ11は、第1実施の形態の光量バランス検出ファイバ14の機能を兼ねている。本実施の形態では、第1実施の形態と異なり内レンズ25aに反射部51は設けられていない。その他の構成、作用は、第1実施の形態と同様であるので、同一または対応する構成要素、には同一参照符号を付して説明を省略する。

前記ホワイトバランス用光量検出部により検出された前記複数の異なる波長ごとの光の前記光量に基づいて、生成される前記画像のホワイトバランスを調整する光走査型内視鏡装置。 - 前記照明ファイバから射出される前記照明光を前記対象物に向けて照射するためのレンズを備え、該レンズの外周部には反射部が設けられ、前記ホワイトバランス用光量検出部は、前記反射部により反射された前記照明光の少なくとも一部を検出する、請求項1に記載の光走査型内視鏡装置。
- 前記照明ファイバから射出される前記照明光を前記対象物に向けて照射するためのレンズを備え、前記ホワイトバランス用光量検出部は、前記レンズの表面により反射された照明光の少なくとも一部を検出する、請求項1に記載の光走査型内視鏡装置。
- 前記照明ファイバから射出される前記照明光を前記対象物に向けて照射するためのレンズを備え、前記ホワイトバランス用光量検出部は、前記レンズの外周部で前記照明光の少なくとも一部を検出するように配置された受光素子を備える、請求項1に記載の光走査型内視鏡装置。
- 前記照明光の照射により前記対象物から得られる光を受光して、前記光検出部に導光する受光ファイバと、前記照明ファイバから射出された前記照明光の少なくとも一部を反射させ、前記受光ファイバに入射させるように配置された反射領域を有するキャップと
を備え、前記光検出部は、前記ホワイトバランス用光検出部を兼ねる請求項1に記載の光走査型内視鏡装置。 - 前記照明ファイバから射出される照明光を前記対象物に向けて照射するためのレンズと、
前記照明光の一部が前記レンズの表面により反射され、前記照明ファイバを前記光源方向に伝搬された反射光の光路を、前記照明光の光路から分岐させる光分波器と
を備え、
前記ホワイトバランス用光量検出部は、前記光分波器で分岐された前記反射光を検出する、請求項1に記載の光走査型内視鏡装置。 - 複数の異なる波長の光からなる照明光を導光する先端部が揺動可能に支持された照明ファイバと、
内部に前記照明ファイバが配設され、少なくとも可撓性部分を有するプローブと、
前記照明ファイバの前記先端部を駆動して、前記照明光を対象物上で繰り返し走査させる走査部と、
前記照明光の走査により前記対象物から得られる光を検出する光検出部と、
前記光検出部の出力に基づいて画像を生成する信号処理部と、
前記照明ファイバと同じ曲げ損失特性を有し、前記プローブ内の少なくとも前記可撓性部分に延在する光損失測定用ファイバと、
前記光損失測定用ファイバを導光された前記複数の異なる波長の光ごとの光量を検出するホワイトバランス用光量検出部と
を備え、
前記ホワイトバランス用光量検出部により検出された前記複数の異なる波長の光ごとの前記光量に基づいて、生成される前記画像のホワイトバランスを調整する光走査型内視鏡装置。 - 前記光損失測定用ファイバは、前記プローブの前記可撓性部分を往復するように設けられている、請求項7に記載の光走査型内視鏡装置。
- 前記ホワイトバランスの調整は、前記ホワイトバランス用光量検出部により検出された前記波長ごとの光の前記光量に基づいて、前記光源を制御して前記複数の異なる波長の光ごとの発光強度を調整することにより行う請求項1から8の何れか一項に記載の光走査型内視鏡装置。
- 前記ホワイトバランスの調整は、前記ホワイトバランス用光量検出部により検出された前記波長ごとの光の前記光量に基づいて、前記信号処理部が生成する画像のホワイトバランスを調整することにより行う請求項1から8の何れか一項に記載の光走査型内視鏡装置。
