本発明のコンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物は、少なくとも、加硫剤を含有する。前記加硫剤としては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができ、例えば、硫黄系加硫剤、有機過酸化物等、一般にゴム用加硫剤として用いられるものが挙げられる。これらの中でも、低コストで効果的に加硫を行う観点から、硫黄系加硫剤を用いることが好ましい。ここで、前記硫黄系加硫剤としては、粉末硫黄、高分散性硫黄、不溶性硫黄、モルホリンジスルフィド等が挙げられる。また、前記有機過酸化物としては、ベンゾイルパーオキサイド、ジクミルパーオキサイド、ジ-t-ブチルパーオキサイド、t-ブチルクミルパーオキサイド、メチルエチルケトンパーオキサイド、クメンハイドロパーオキサイド、2,5-ジメチル-2,5-ジ(t-ブチルパーオキシ)ヘキサン等が挙げられる。なお、前記加硫剤は、1種単独で用いてもよいし、2種以上を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
本発明のコンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物は、少なくとも、加硫促進剤を含有する。前記加硫促進剤としては、2-メルカプトベンゾチアゾール、ジベンゾチアジルジスルフィド、N-シクロヘキシル-2-ベンゾチアゾールスルフェンアミド、N-tert-ブチル-2-ベンゾチアゾールスルフェンアミド等のベンゾチアゾール系加硫促進剤、1,3-ジフェニルグアニジン等のグアニジン系加硫促進剤、テトラメチルチウラムジスルフィド、テトラエチルチウラムジスルフィド、テトラブチルチウラムジスルフィド、テトラドデシルチウラムジスルフィド、テトラオクチルチウラムジスルフィド、テトラベンジルチウラムジスルフィド、ジペンタメチレンチウラムテトラスルフィド等のチウラム系加硫促進剤、ジメチルジチオカルバミン酸亜鉛等のジチオカルバミン酸塩系、その他ジアルキルジチオリン酸亜鉛等が挙げられる。なお、前記加硫促進剤は、1種単独で用いてもよいし、2種以上を組み合わせて用いてもよい。
本発明のコンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物は、少なくとも、カーボンブラックを含有する。前記カーボンブラックは、ジエン系等のゴム成分と混合することにより、コンベヤベルトのゴム強度及び低ロス性の向上に寄与することができる。前記カーボンブラックとしては、特に制限はなく、目的に応じて適宜選択することができ、例えば、チャンネルブラック、ファーネスブラック、アセチレンブラック、サーマルブラック等、一般にゴム用カーボンブラックとして用いられるものが挙げられる。
なお、ISAF級のカーボンブラックとは、窒素吸着比表面積(N2SA)が117~150m2/gの範囲にあるカーボンブラックを指し、HAF級のカーボンブラックとは、窒素吸着比表面積(N2SA)が83~100m2/gの範囲にあるカーボンブラックを指す。
本発明のコンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物は、少なくとも、塩素化パラフィンを含有する。ここで、本明細書で塩素化パラフィンとは、平均で炭素数26の鎖状飽和炭化水素化合物であって、該化合物中の水素原子の全部又は一部が塩素原子で置換されているものを指す。前記塩素化パラフィンは、コンベヤベルトの難燃性の向上に寄与する性質を有するほか、適度な粘性を有し、材料同士を凝集させる性質を有する。したがって、本発明において前記塩素化パラフィンを配合すれば、前述した性質により、得られるゴム組成物の難燃性及び成形性が向上するとともに、それを用いたコンベヤベルトのゴム強度を高い水準で保持することができるという効果を奏する。特に、本発明のコンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物においては、一般にゴム強度の向上に寄与し得る天然ゴムの含有量をブタジエンゴムの含有量に比べて低くしていることから、塩素化パラフィンを配合することの利点はとりわけ大きい。
本発明のコンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物は、少なくとも三酸化アンチモンを含有する。前記三酸化アンチモンは、コンベヤベルトの難燃性の向上をもたらすことができる。特に、前記三酸化アンチモンは、前記塩素化パラフィンと併用することにより、効果的に難燃性を向上させることができる。
また、三酸化アンチモンの含有量としては、特に制限されないが、塩素化パラフィンの含有量に対する三酸化アンチモンの含有量の割合(三酸化アンチモンの含有量/塩素化パラフィンの含有量)が、質量比で0.15~0.30であることが好ましい。これにより、塩素化パラフィンと三酸化アンチモンとを併用することによる難燃性の向上効果をよりもたらすことができる。
また、本発明のコンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物は、さらに、1種以上のヒドラジド化合物を含有することが好ましい。前記ヒドラジド化合物は、ゴム組成物中でカーボンブラックに対する分散助剤としての機能を有し、コンベヤベルトの低ロス性を向上させることができる。
また、前記コンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物は、塩素化パラフィンの含有量に対するヒドラジド化合物の含有量の割合(ヒドラジド化合物の含有量/塩素化パラフィンの含有量)が、質量比で0.005~0.25であることが好ましい。これにより、強度、難燃性、低ロス性、耐ミル収縮性及び耐ロール密着性をバランスよく良好なものとすることができる。
本発明のコンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物は、さらに、必要に応じ前記成分以外の添加剤等を含有してもよい。かかる添加剤等としては、例えば、加硫促進助剤、リターダー(スコーチ防止剤)、前記カーボンブラック以外の補強性充填剤、老化防止剤、可塑剤、ワックス類、酸化防止剤、滑剤、紫外線吸収剤、分散剤、相溶化剤、均質化剤等が挙げられる。
本発明のコンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物は、上記各成分を、例えば、開放混合式の練りロール機、密閉混合式のバンバリーミキサー、ブラベンダー又はニーダー等の混練機を用いて混練することにより製造することができる。
なお、前記ロスインデックスは、例えば、コンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物における天然ゴムの含有量と前記ブタジエンゴムの含有量との比や、コンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物におけるカーボンブラック又はカーボンブラック以外の補強性充填剤の含有量を、本発明の範囲内で適宜変更することにより、調整することができる。
なお、前記引張強さ(Tb)は、例えば、コンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物における天然ゴムの含有量と前記ブタジエンゴムの含有量との比や、コンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物におけるカーボンブラック及び塩素化パラフィンの含有量を、本発明の範囲内で適宜変更することにより、調整することができる。
本発明のコンベヤベルトは、前記コンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物を用いたことを特徴とする。一実施形態においては、前記コンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物を、コンベヤベルトのうち、少なくとも、スチールコード等からなる補強材の下側の、駆動プーリー、従動プーリー、保形ローター等と接触する内周側の表層ゴム(下面カバーゴム)に用いることができ、また、補強材の上側の、輸送物品と接触する外周側の表層ゴム(上面カバーゴム)に用いることもできる。本発明のコンベヤベルトは、前記コンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物を用いているため、高い難燃性とゴム強度とが保持されている上、低ロス性に優れる。
JIS K 6251に準拠して、引張強さ(MPa)を求めた。結果を表1に示す。かかる値が大きいほど、ゴム強度に優れることを示す。具体的には、かかる値が14.0MPa以上であることが好ましい。
レオメトリックス社製粘弾性測定装置を用い、温度20℃、歪み2%、振動数10Hzにおける貯蔵弾性率(E’)及び損失正接tanδを測定し、得られた測定値を用いてロスインデックス(tanδ/E’1/3)を算出した。結果を表1に示す。かかる値が小さいほど、低ロス性に優れることを示す。具体的には、かかる値が0.110以下であることが好ましい。
JIS難燃3級試験(JIS K6324:2000)の試験方法に準拠して試験を行い、計測された炎の持続時間により、以下の5段階で、難燃性を評価した。結果を表1に示す。
5:炎の持続時間が10秒以下
4:炎の持続時間が10秒超25秒以下
3:炎の持続時間が25秒超40秒以下
2:炎の持続時間が40秒超60秒以下(3級合格)
1:炎の持続時間が60秒超(3級不合格)
6インチロール、ゲージ2mm、フロントロール20rpm、バックロール18rpmの条件にてロール加工を行い、以下の5段階で、耐ロール密着性を評価した。結果を表1に示す。
5:ロールへのサンプルの密着がほとんど見られない(作業性が非常に良好)
4:ロールへのサンプルの密着が僅かに見られるものの、容易に作業可能である(作業性がより良好)
3:ロールへのサンプルの密着がある程度見られるものの、比較的容易に作業可能である(作業性が良好)
2:ロールへのサンプルの密着度合が強いが、ロールから剥がすことができる(作業可能)
1:ロールへのサンプルの密着度合が極めて強く、ロールから剥がすことができない(作業困難)
6インチロール、ゲージ2mm、フロントロール20rpm、バックロール18rpmの条件にてロール加工を行った。次いで、十分に熱入れを行った後、ロールを止め、加工後のシートをロールに張り付けたままで5cm四方で打ち抜き、打ち抜かれた後のシートの圧延方向の寸法変化率を測定し、以下の5段階で、耐ミル収縮性を評価した。結果を表1に示す。
5:寸法変化率が40%未満
4:寸法変化率が40%以上50%未満
3:寸法変化率が50%以上60%未満
2:寸法変化率が60%以上70%未満
1:寸法変化率が70%以上

*5 ヒドラジド化合物A:大塚化学株式会社製「BMH」、3-ヒドロキシ-N’-(1,3-ジメチルブチリデン)-2-ナフトエ酸ヒドラジド
*6 ヒドラジド化合物B:大塚化学株式会社製「IDH-S」、イソフタル酸ジヒドラジド
*7 カーボンブラック:東海カーボン株式会社製「N330」、HAF級ファーネスブラック
*8 加硫剤:鶴見化学工業株式会社製「サルファックス5」、硫黄
*9 加硫促進剤A:大内新興化学株式会社製「ノクセラーD」、1,3-ジフェニルグアニジン
*10 加硫促進剤B:三新化学工業株式会社製「サンセラーCM」、N-シクロヘキシル-2-ベンゾチアゾールスルフェンアミド
また、表1の結果から、塩素化パラフィンの含有量及びヒドラジド化合物の含有量の適正化を図ることにより、強度、難燃性及び低ロス性を良好なものとしつつ、更に耐ミル収縮性及び耐ロール密着性が相乗的に改善されることも分かる。
Claims (10)
- 天然ゴム及びブタジエンゴムを含むゴム成分と、加硫剤と、加硫促進剤と、カーボンブラックと、塩素化パラフィンと、三酸化アンチモンとを含有し、
前記天然ゴムの含有量と前記ブタジエンゴムの含有量との比(天然ゴムの含有量:ブタジエンゴムの含有量)が、質量比で25:75~45:55である
ことを特徴とするコンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物。 - さらに、1種以上のヒドラジド化合物を含有する、請求項1に記載のコンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物。
- 前記ヒドラジド化合物が、ナフトエ酸ヒドラジド又はその誘導体である、請求項2に記載のコンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物。
- 前記塩素化パラフィンの含有量が、ゴム成分100質量部に対し、5質量部~50質量部である、請求項1~3のいずれかに記載のコンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物。
- 前記ヒドラジド化合物の含有量が、ゴム成分100質量部に対し、0.1質量部~5質量部である、請求項2~4のいずれかに記載のコンベヤベルト用組成物。
- 前記塩素化パラフィンの含有量が、ゴム成分100質量部に対し、10質量部~30質量部であり、且つ、前記ヒドラジド化合物の含有量が、ゴム成分100質量部に対し、0.5質量部~3質量部である、請求項2~5のいずれかに記載のコンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物。
- 前記塩素化パラフィンの含有量に対する前記ヒドラジド化合物の含有量の割合が、質量比で0.005~0.25である、請求項2~6のいずれかに記載のコンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物。
- 歪2%、振動数10Hzでの20℃における貯蔵弾性率(E’)及び損失正接tanδから算出されるロスインデックス(tanδ/E’1/3)が0.110以下である、請求項1~7のいずれかに記載のコンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物。
- JIS K6251に準拠して測定される引張強さ(Tb)が14.0MPa以上である、請求項1~8のいずれかに記載のコンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物。
- 請求項1~9のいずれかに記載のコンベヤベルト用ゴム組成物を用いたことを特徴とする、コンベヤベルト。
