Abstract
Description
本発明の一つの目的は、損失弾性率が急激に低下する温度(Tα)が高い、変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体を提供することである。
本発明の別の一つの目的は、耐熱性および粘着性、成形加工性に優れるアクリル系粘着剤および粘着製品を提供することである。
〔1〕 (メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(a)を有する重合体ブロック(A)、および
N-置換(メタ)アクリルアミド単位(d)を有する重合体ブロック(B)を有し、
且つ数平均分子量(Mn)に対する重量平均分子量(Mw)の比(Mw/Mn)が1.0~1.5である、変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体。
〔2〕 (メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(a)が(メタ)アクリル酸メチル単位以外の(メタ)アクリル酸アルキルエステル単位である、〔1〕に記載の変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体。

これらのうち、(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(a)としては、(メタ)アクリル酸メチル単位以外の(メタ)アクリル酸アルキルエステル単位が好ましく、(メタ)アクリル酸エチル、(メタ)アクリル酸n-ブチル、(メタ)アクリル酸2-エチルヘキシルがより好ましい。(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(a)の量は、重合体ブロック(A)中において、好ましくは95モル%以上、より好ましくは99モル%以上である。
重合体ブロック(A)の数平均分子量は、特に制限されないが、好ましくは500~500000である。
(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(b)は、(メタ)アクリル酸エステルの付加重合反応によって形成される単位である。係る(メタ)アクリル酸エステルとしては(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(a)の説明において示したものと同じものを挙げることができる。(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(b)は(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(a)と異なる構造の単位であることが好ましい。(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(b)としては、(メタ)アクリル酸アルキルエステル単位が好ましく、(メタ)アクリル酸メチル単位がより好ましい。
(メタ)アクリル酸単位(c)は、(メタ)アクリル酸の付加重合反応によって形成されると考えられる単位と同じ構造を成す単位である。なお、(メタ)アクリル酸は、後述するブロック共重合体の一般的製法である、リビングアニオン重合法によっては、付加重合反応させることが困難な単量体である。
N-置換ビス((メタ)アクリル)アミド単位(e)は、N-置換ビス((メタ)アクリル)アミドの付加重合反応によって形成されると考えられる単位と同じ構造を成す単位である。N-置換ビス((メタ)アクリル)アミド単位(e)は一本の分子鎖の中に隣り合って環を形成する形態で有してもよいし、二本の分子鎖の間または一本の分子鎖の離れた場所の間を架橋する形態で有してもよい。なお、N-置換ビス((メタ)アクリル)アミドは、後述するブロック共重合体の一般的製法である、リビングアニオン重合法によっては、付加重合反応させることが困難な単量体である。
重合体ブロック(B)の数平均分子量は、特に制限されないが、好ましくは500~500000である。
5<(〔d〕+〔c〕)<90 ;および
0.01<〔d〕/〔c〕<0.075×(〔d〕+〔c〕)+4
の関係を満たす。
本発明に係る変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体は、〔d〕+〔c〕が少ないと耐熱性が低下する傾向があり、〔d〕+〔c〕が多いと高粘性になり成形加工性が低下する傾向がある。また、本発明に係る変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体は、〔d〕/〔c〕が大きくなりすぎると粘着性が低下する傾向がある。
なお、本発明において、重量平均分子量および数平均分子量は、GPC(ゲルパーミエーションクロマトグラフィ)で測定した標準ポリスチレン換算の分子量である。
また、例えば、重合系にまず(メタ)アクリル酸エステル(b’)を供給してそのリビングポリマーを形成させ、次に(メタ)アクリル酸エステル(a)を供給して該リビングポリマーの活性アニオン末端に連結・重合させて重合体ブロック(B’)-重合体ブロック(A)からなるジブロック共重合体(ブロックA側に活性アニオン末端を有するリビングポリマー)を形成させ、更に(メタ)アクリル酸エステル(b’)を供給して前記ジブロック共重合体の活性アニオン末端に該(メタ)アクリル酸エステル(b’)を連結・重合させて、重合体ブロック(B’)-重合体ブロック(A)-重合体ブロック(B’)からなるトリブロック共重合体を製造することができる。
また、この方法において、重合系への(メタ)アクリル酸エステル(a)と(メタ)アクリル酸エステル(b’)の逐次(交互)供給回数を4以上として、4段階以上の重合工程を逐次的に行うことによって、重合体ブロック(A)-重合体ブロック(B’)-重合体ブロック(A)-重合体ブロック(B’)からなるテトラブロック共重合体、重合体ブロック(A)と重合体ブロック(B’)とが合計で5個以上交互に結合したペンタブロック以上のブロック共重合体を製造することができる。
本発明の変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体と他の樹脂との樹脂組成物を得るために、変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体と他の樹脂を溶融状態あるいは溶液状態で混合する方法やブロック共重合体(C)と他の樹脂を溶融状態あるいは溶液状態で混合した後にアミン化合物を反応させる方法を用いることができる。
N-置換(メタ)アクリルアミド単位(d)またはN-置換ビス((メタ)アクリル)アミド単位(e)の構造は、反応させるアミン化合物の構造に依存する。よって、例えば、ヒドロキシル基、アリル基、アミノ基、エポキシ基などの官能基を有するアミン化合物を用いることによって、ブロック共重合体(C)にそれら官能基を導入することができる。
石油樹脂または水添石油樹脂としては、例えば、脂肪族系(C5系)石油樹脂、芳香族系(C9系)石油樹脂、共重合系(C5/C9系)石油樹脂、ジシクロペンタジエン系石油樹脂、水添脂肪族系(C5系)石油樹脂、水添芳香族系(C9系)石油樹脂、水添共重合系(C5/C9系)石油樹脂、水添ジシクロペンタジエン系石油樹脂、脂環式飽和炭化水素樹脂等を挙げることができる。
スチレン系樹脂としては、例えば、ポリαメチルスチレン、αメチルスチレン/スチレン共重合体、スチレン系モノマー/脂肪族系モノマー共重合体、スチレン系モノマー/αメチルスチレン/脂肪族系モノマー共重合体、スチレン系モノマー共重合体、スチレン系モノマー/芳香族系モノマー共重合体等を挙げることができる。
また、本発明に係る粘着剤は、トルエン、メチルエチルケトン等の溶剤に溶かして、溶液状態のままで、溶剤型粘着剤とすることができる。
各物性は以下の方法で測定した。
1H-NMRにより算出した。例えば、ポリメタクリル酸メチルブロック(B)-ポリアクリル酸n-ブチル(A)-ポリメタクリル酸メチルブロック(B)からなるアクリル系ブロック共重合体(C’)にシクロヘキシルアミンを反応させて得られる変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体の場合、メタクリル酸メチル単位中のオキシ基の酸素原子に結合する炭素原子に結合するプロトン(O-C- 1 H)と、N-置換(メタ)アクリルアミド単位中の窒素原子に結合する炭素原子に結合するプロトン(N-C- 1 H)に相当するシグナルが3.6ppmに現われ、アクリル酸n-ブチル単位中のオキシ基の酸素原子に結合する炭素原子に結合するプロトン(O-C- 1 H)に相当するシグナルが4.0ppmに現われ、N-置換ビス((メタ)アクリル)アミド単位中の窒素原子に結合する炭素原子に結合するプロトン(N-C- 1 H)に相当するシグナルが4.3ppmに現われる。各シグナルの積分値および後記(メタ)アクリル酸単位の定量の結果より、N-置換(メタ)アクリルアミド単位およびN-置換ビス((メタ)アクリル)アミド単位の量をそれぞれ算出した。N-置換ビス((メタ)アクリル)アミド単位の量はN-置換ビス((メタ)アクリル)アミド単位1モルを2モルとみなして算出した。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体5.0gをトルエン/エタノール(質量比9/1)混合溶液に溶解させた。この溶液に0.1M水酸化カリウムエタノール溶液を0.1mL/20secで滴下して、電位差滴定を行った。この滴定結果から、(メタ)アクリル酸由来のカルボキシル基の量を算出し、(メタ)アクリル酸単位の量を決定した。
厚さ0.5mmのシートを切断して、幅5mmの短冊を作製した。これを用いて動的粘弾性測定を行った。動的粘弾性の測定は粘弾性解析測定装置(レオロジ社製「DVE-V4」)を用いて、周波数1Hzの条件で行なった。
三方コック付き三口フラスコの内部を脱気し窒素で置換した。該フラスコに、室温下にて、乾燥トルエン1040gおよび1,2-ジメトキシエタン100gを入れ、これにイソブチルビス(2,6-ジ-t-ブチル-4-メチルフェノキシ)アルミニウム32mmolを含有するトルエン溶液48gを加えた。これにsec-ブチルリチウム8.1mmolを加えた。次いで、メタクリル酸メチル33g(0.33mol)を加え、室温で1時間撹拌して重合反応させた。この重合反応によってMw9900およびMw/Mn1.08のポリメタクリル酸メチルブロック(PMMAブロック[b1])を形成させた。
これに続けて、反応液の温度を-25℃にし、アクリル酸n-ブチル384g(3.0mol)を2時間かけて滴下して重合反応させた。この重合反応によって、前記PMMAブロック[b1]の末端に繋がるポリアクリル酸n-ブチルブロック(PnBAブロック[a])を形成させた。
さらにこれ続けて、メタクリル酸メチル33g(0.33mol)を加え、反応液の温度を室温に戻し8時間攪拌して重合反応させた。この重合反応によって、前記PnBAブロック[a]の末端に繋がるMw9900およびMw/Mn1.08のポリメタリル酸メチルブロック(PMMAブロック[b2])を形成させた。
PnBAブロック[a]に由来すると考えられる損失弾性率のピークが-44℃にて観測された。また、PMMAブロック[b1]および[b2]に由来すると考えられる損失弾性率の低下部分の温度が144℃であった。
二軸押出機(パーカーコーポレーション社製)に、ホッパーからブロック共重合体(C”)を0.6kg/hで供給し、シリンダー途中からシクロヘキシルアミンをブロック共重合体(C”)中のメタクリル酸メチル単位100モルに対して25モルとなる量で供給し、シリンダー温度(反応温度)240℃、スクリュウ回転数200rpmで溶融混練して、変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(1)を得た。
PnBAブロック[a]に由来すると考えられる損失弾性率のピークが-44℃にて観測された。また、PMMAブロック[b1]および[b2]に由来すると考えられる損失弾性率の低下部分の温度が164℃であった。
また、変性アクリル系ブロック共重体(1)は、ハードセグメントであるPMMAブロック[b1]および[b2]に由来すると考えられる損失弾性率の低下部分の温度が高くなっている。一方、ソフトセグメントであるPnBAブロック[a]に由来すると考えられる損失弾性率のピーク位置は変わっていない。この結果から、アミン化合物がPMMAブロック[b1]および[b2]に対してのみ反応していることが解る。
二軸押出機(パーカーコーポレーション社製)に、ホッパーからブロック共重合体(C”)を0.6kg/hで供給し、シリンダー途中からシクロヘキシルアミンをブロック共重合体(C”)中のメタクリル酸メチル単位100モルに対して80モルとなる量で供給し、シリンダー温度(反応温度)240℃、スクリュウ回転数200rpmで溶融混練して、変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(2)を得た。
PnBAブロック[a]に由来すると考えられる損失弾性率のピークが-44℃にて観測された。また、PMMAブロック[b1]および[b2]に由来すると考えられる損失弾性率の低下部分の温度が194℃であった。
ブロック共重合体(C”)を5g、トルエンを35g、およびシクロヘキシルアミンをブロック共重合体(C”)中のメタクリル酸メチル単位100モルに対して100モルとなる量で攪拌翼突きのオートクレーブに導入し、内部を窒素置換した。
オートクレーブ内の温度(反応温度)を200℃に維持し、4時間反応させて、変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(3)を得た。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(3)中の単量体単位の割合を分析した。その結果を表1に示す。
反応時間を5時間に変えた以外は実施例3と同じ方法で変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(4)を得た。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(4)中の単量体単位の割合を分析した。その結果を表1に示す。
反応温度を240℃に変えた以外は実施例4と同じ方法で変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(5)を得た。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(5)中の単量体単位の割合を分析した。その結果を表2に示す。
シクロヘキシルアミンをN-メチルシクロへキシルアミンに変えた以外は実施例4と同じ方法で変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(6)を得た。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(6)中の単量体単位の割合を分析した。その結果を表2に示す。
反応温度を220℃に変えた以外は実施例6と同じ方法で変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(7)を得た。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(7)中の単量体単位の割合を分析した。その結果を表2に示す。
シクロヘキシルアミンの量をブロック共重合体(C”)中のメタクリル酸メチル単位100モルに対して150モルとなる量に変え、且つ反応時間を8時間に変えた以外は実施例3と同じ方法で変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(8)を得た。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(8)中の単量体単位の割合を分析した。その結果を表2に示す。
シクロヘキシルアミンの量をブロック共重合体(C”)中のメタクリル酸メチル単位100モルに対して200モルとなる量に変え、且つ反応時間を1時間に変えた以外は実施例3と同じ方法で変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(9)を得た。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(9)中の単量体単位の割合を分析した。その結果を表2に示す。
粘着テープから幅25mm長さ200mmの試験片を切り出した。この試験片をステンレス(SUS304)板の上に置き、その上から荷重2kgでゴムローラーを2往復転がして試験片をステンレス板に貼り付けた。これを23℃、50%RHの環境下に24時間保管した。その後、JIS Z0237に準拠して180°剥離接着力を300mm/分の剥離速度で測定した。剥離力が大きいほど粘着力に優れる。
粘着テープを切断して横25mm(荷重の向きに対して垂直方向)×縦10mm(荷重の向きと同方向)の試験片を用意した。試験片をステンレス(SUS304)板の上に置き、その上から荷重2kgでゴムローラーを2往復転がして試験片をステンレス板に貼り付けた。当該試験片に1kgの錘を取り付けて、温度150℃の二つの条件下に放置した。JIS Z0237に準拠して、錘が落下するまでの時間を測定した。錘が落下するまでの時間が長いほど高温での粘着耐久性(保持力)に優れる。
キャピログラフ(東洋精機社製)を用いて200℃、せん断速度100sec-1における粘度を測定した。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(1)をテトラヒドロフランに溶解させて濃度30質量%の溶液を作成した。該溶液をコーターにてポリエチレンテレフタレート製フィルム上にコーティングした。その後、該フィルムを60℃で30分間加熱処理して、粘着テープを得た。粘着テープの接着力及び保持力を測定した。また、変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(1)の溶融粘度を測定した。結果を表3に示す。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(1)を変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(2)に変えた以外は実施例10と同じ方法で粘着テープを得た。粘着テープの接着力及び保持力を測定した。また、変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(2)の溶融粘度を測定した。結果を表3に示す。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(1)を変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(3)に変えた以外は実施例10と同じ方法で粘着テープを得た。粘着テープの接着力及び保持力を測定した。また、変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(3)の溶融粘度を測定した。結果を表3に示す。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(1)を変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(4)に変えた以外は実施例10と同じ方法で粘着テープを得た。粘着テープの接着力及び保持力を測定した。また、変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(4)の溶融粘度を測定した。結果を表3に示す。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(1)を変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(5)に変えた以外は実施例10と同じ方法で粘着テープを得た。粘着テープの接着力及び保持力を測定した。また、変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(5)の溶融粘度を測定した。結果を表3に示す。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(1)を変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(6)に変えた以外は実施例10と同じ方法で粘着テープを得た。粘着テープの接着力及び保持力を測定した。また、変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(6)の溶融粘度を測定した。結果を表3に示す。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(1)を変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(7)に変えた以外は実施例10と同じ方法で粘着テープを得た。粘着テープの接着力及び保持力を測定した。また、変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(7)の溶融粘度を測定した。結果を表3に示す。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(1)を変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(8)に変えた以外は実施例10と同じ方法で粘着テープを得た。粘着テープの接着力及び保持力を測定した。また、変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(8)の溶融粘度を測定した。結果を表3に示す。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(1)を変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(9)に変えた以外は実施例10と同じ方法で粘着テープを得た。粘着テープの接着力及び保持力を測定した。また、変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(9)の溶融粘度を測定した。結果を表3に示す。
ブロック共重合体(C”)をテトラヒドロフランに溶解させて濃度30質量%の溶液を作成した。該溶液をコーターにてポリエチレンテレフタレート製フィルム上にコーティングした。その後、該フィルムを60℃で30分間加熱処理して、粘着テープを得た。粘着テープの接着力及び保持力を測定した。また、ブロック共重合体(C”)の溶融粘度を測定した。結果を表3に示す。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(1)を変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(1)100質量部と粘着付与樹脂(商品名「KE311」、荒川化学工業社製特殊ロジンエステル樹脂)35質量部からなる樹脂組成物(10)に変えた以外は実施例10と同じ方法で粘着テープを得た。粘着テープの接着力及び保持力を測定した。また、樹脂組成物(10)の溶融粘度を測定した。結果を表4に示す。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(1)を変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(2)100質量部と粘着付与樹脂(商品名「KE311」、荒川化学工業社製特殊ロジンエステル樹脂)35質量部からなる樹脂組成物(11)に変えた以外は実施例10と同じ方法で粘着テープを得た。粘着テープの接着力及び保持力を測定した。また、樹脂組成物(11)の溶融粘度を測定した。結果を表4に示す。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(1)を変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(1)100質量部と粘着付与樹脂(商品名「KE311」、荒川化学工業社製特殊ロジンエステル樹脂)35質量部と可塑剤(商品名「ARUFON UP-1010」、東亞合成社製アクリル系樹脂)50質量部からなる樹脂組成物(12)に変えた以外は実施例10と同じ方法で粘着テープを得た。粘着テープの接着力及び保持力を測定した。また、樹脂組成物(12)の溶融粘度を測定した。結果を表4に示す。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(1)をブロック共重合体(C”)100質量部と粘着付与樹脂(商品名「KE311」、荒川化学工業社製特殊ロジンエステル樹脂)35質量部からなる樹脂組成物(13)に変えた以外は実施例10と同じ方法で粘着テープを得た。粘着テープの接着力及び保持力を測定した。また、樹脂組成物(13)の溶融粘度を測定した。結果を表4に示す。
変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体(1)をブロック共重合体(C”)100質量部と粘着付与樹脂(商品名「KE311」、荒川化学工業社製特殊ロジンエステル樹脂)35質量部と可塑剤(商品名「ARUFON UP-1010」、東亞合成社製アクリル系樹脂)50質量部からなる樹脂組成物(14)に変えた以外は実施例10と同じ方法で粘着テープを得た。粘着テープの接着力及び保持力を測定した。また、樹脂組成物(14)の溶融粘度を測定した。結果を表4に示す。

- (メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(a)を有する重合体ブロック(A)、および
N-置換(メタ)アクリルアミド単位(d)を有する重合体ブロック(B)
を有し、
且つ数平均分子量(Mn)に対する重量平均分子量(Mw)の比(Mw/Mn)が1.0~1.5である、

- 重合体ブロック(B)が、(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(b)および/または(メタ)アクリル酸単位(c)をさらに有し、(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(b)が(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(a)と異なる構造の単位である、請求項1または2に記載の変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体。
- (メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(b)が(メタ)アクリル酸メチル単位である請求項3に記載の変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体。
- 重合体ブロック(B)を構成する単位の合計100モルに対する、N-置換(メタ)アクリルアミド単位(d)のモル数〔d〕と(メタ)アクリル酸単位(c)のモル数〔c〕とが
5<(〔d〕+〔c〕)<90 ;および
0.01<〔d〕/〔c〕<0.075×(〔d〕+〔c〕)+4
の関係を満たす、請求項3または4に記載の変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体。 - 重合体ブロック(B)が、N-置換ビス((メタ)アクリル)アミド単位(e)をさらに有する、請求項1~6のいずれかひとつに記載の変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体。
- (メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(a)を有する重合体ブロック(A)、および(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(b’)を有する重合体ブロック(B’)を有し、且つ(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(a)が(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(b’)と異なる構造の単位であるブロック共重合体(C)を、アミン化合物の存在下に反応させて、(メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(b’)の一部または全部を、N-置換(メタ)アクリルアミド単位(d)、(メタ)アクリル酸単位(c)およびN-置換ビス((メタ)アクリル)アミド単位(e)からなる群より選ばれる少なくとも一つに転化することを含む、変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体の製造方法。
- 転化は、ブロック共重合体(C)とアミン化合物との混合物を、ブロック共重合体(C)の軟化点以上の温度にすることによって行われる、請求項9に記載の変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体の製造方法。
- アミン化合物が、1級アミンまたは2級アミンである、請求項9または10に記載の変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体の製造方法。
- (メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(a)が(メタ)アクリル酸メチル単位以外の(メタ)アクリル酸アルキルエステル単位である請求項9~12のいずれかひとつに記載の変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体の製造方法。
- (メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(b’)が(メタ)アクリル酸メチル単位である請求項9~13のいずれかひとつに記載の変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体の製造方法。
- (メタ)アクリル酸エステル単位(b’)100モルに対して、アミン化合物2~100モルを反応に用いる請求項9~14のいずれかひとつに記載の変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体の製造方法。
- 請求項1~8のいずれかひとつに記載の変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体を含有して成るアクリル系粘着剤。
- 変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体100質量部に対して
粘着付与樹脂1質量部以上400質量部以下をさらに含有する請求項16に記載のアクリル系粘着剤。 - 変性アクリル系ブロック共重合体100質量部に対して
可塑剤1質量部以上400質量部以下をさらに含有する請求項16または17に記載のアクリル系粘着剤。 - 請求項16~18のいずれかひとつに記載のアクリル系粘着剤からなる粘着層を有する粘着製品。
