Abstract

Provided in the present invention is a method for preparing ethanol by hydrogenation of a low-carbon ester, comprising passing a raw material gas containing a low-carbon ester and hydrogen gas through a gas distributor in the middle of a reactor to uniformly distribute the same into a catalyst bed of a copper-based catalyst, and performing hydrogenation to prepare ethanol. The catalyst bed is disposed between the gas distributor and the rector. The present method can effectively control the temperature distribution of the catalyst bed, and significantly improve the conversion rate of low-carbon ester and the selectivity of the target product.
