  • a spectacles hinge comprises two parts, fixed to one end of the front and to the arm, respectively, articulated to one another by means of a screw forming a pivot which allows the arm to rotate and be folded against the front.
  • This configuration has disadvantages because the screw tends to slacken when it is subjected to repeated, frequent rotational movements as the arm is opened and closed, so that the spectacles may be worn or put away. It is therefore necessary to use a tiny screwdriver to tighten the screw. If the user does not have the appropriate tool, he may resort to a knife or other sharp object, which inevitably damages the slot in the screw head. The screw thus loses the ability to secure the arm to the front. The screw is often lost.

Abstract

L'invention concerne les deux bras (20) d'une paire de lunettes, qui sont montés de façon pivotante sur deux parties de fixation (11), dont chacune a une surface verticale (15) faisant face, en utilisation, à la tempe d'une personne portant les lunettes. Chaque bras comprend une partie avant ayant la forme d'une barre verticale parallélépipédique (25) reçue dans un siège parallélépipédique formé partiellement par la première surface verticale de la partie de fixation pertinente (11) et partiellement par un élément élastique (30) qui est fixé à la surface verticale (15) et qui pousse la partie barre parallélépipédique (25) du bras vers ladite surface verticale.
