Abstract

Provided are a central server and a charge control system for an electric moving body according to a user rate system using the same. The central server according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention includes a communication module, a user rate system information database, a charge control information database, and a control unit.

Description

CENTRAL SERVER AND CHARGE CONTROL SYSTEM FOR ELECTRIC MOVING BODY ACCORDING TO USER RATE SYSTEM USING THE SAME
The present invention relates to a central server and a charge control system for an electric moving body according to a user rate system using the same, and more particularly, to a central server corresponding to fields of a charge rate for an electric moving body and a charge control for an electric moving body and a charge control system for an electric moving body according to a user rate system using the system.
An electric vehicle is a generic term for vehicles, such as a hybrid electric vehicle (HEV), a fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV), and the like, that use electricity as main power or auxiliary power.
As a modern society is suddenly developed, energy consumption has been increased exponentially, which causes many environmental problems, such as generation of CO2,andthelike. Recently, first of all, it is important to improve the environmental problems involved in industry development and efficiently use power energy.
Further, recently, an electric vehicle has been widely spread as a result of alternative energy. A general electric vehicle based on an engine-battery hybrid scheme includes an internal combustion engine of a small displacement to supplement engine performance, such as running performance, running distance, and the like, and has advantages as a low emission vehicle since exhaust gases are cleaner than the existing internal combustion engine vehicle. In addition, as a performance of a battery is developed, electric energy that can be charged in the electric vehicle is gradually increased.
Since the era of the electric vehicle is expected to be reached rapidly, a need exists for efficient methods for a charge rate and a charge control according to a charging of an electric vehicle.

An object of the present invention is to provide a central server capable of providing various rate system services for charging electricity to a user and controlling a charging of an electric moving body according to a rate system selected by a user and a charge control system for an electric moving body according to a user rate system using the same.
In one general aspect, there is provided a central server, including: a communication module performing communication with the outside; a user rate system information database storing user rate system information previously registered for electric charge for each user; a charge control information database storing charge control information for controlling electric charge according to at least one user rate system information; and a control unit providing the charge control information for controlling electric charge from the charge control information database according to the user rate system information of the corresponding user stored in the user rate system information database when an electric charge request of the user is input through the communication module.
The central server may further include: a user information database storing user identification information previously registered, wherein the control unit may determine whether the corresponding user is a previously registered user by using the user identification information stored in the user information database when the electric charge request of the user is input through the communication module and provide the charge control information for controlling electric charge from the charge control information database according to the user rate system information of the corresponding user if it is determined that the user is the previously registered user.
The control unit may change and store the user rate system information stored in the user rate system information database according to the request when the rate system change request of the user is input through the communication module.
The central server may further include: a charge history information database for each user storing charge history information performing the electric charge for each user, wherein the control unit may provide the charge history information of the corresponding user stored in the charge history information database for each user when the charge history information request of the user is input through the communication module.
The charge history information may include at least one of date and time of electric charge every time, charge station information every time, charge lead time ever time, charged amount every time, charger information every time, charge frequency for each month, accumulated charge lead time for each month, and charged amount for month.
The central server may further include: a charge station information database storing information on at least one charge station charging electricity, wherein the control unit may provide information on a charge station stored in the charge station information database according to the request when the charge station information request is input through the communication module.
In another general aspect, there is provided a charge control system for an electric moving body according to a user rate system, including: a terminal device transmitting an information change request for user rate system information previously registered for electric charge according to a user operation; and a central server changing the user rate system information previously registered for electric charge of the corresponding user according to the information change request transmitted from the terminal device and when there is the electric charge request of the corresponding user, providing electric charge control information according to the changed user rate system information.
The charge control system for an electric moving body according to a user rate system may further include: a billing server receiving at least one of a billing server receiving user rate system information previously registered by the user from the central server and the user rate system information changed by the corresponding user request to charge an electric charge rate to the corresponding user.
The exemplary embodiment of the present invention can control the electric charge for the electric moving body according to the user rate system, such as a flat rate per month, and perform billing according to an electric charge.
Further, the exemplary embodiment of the present invention can provide the control information to change the user rate system according to the user request and perform the electric charge for the electric moving body in the electric charge mode provided by the changed user rate system.
In addition, the exemplary embodiment of the present invention can provide additional information, such as the charge history information for the electric moving body, the information on the charge station, and the information on the current charge condition for the electric moving body, and the like, to the terminal device of the user according the user request.
Moreover, the exemplary embodiment of the present invention can provide the new apparatus and system capable of providing various user rate system services, such as a flat rate per month, for charging electricity to the user and performing the charge rate in connection with the electric charge for the electric moving body and performing the charge control for the electric moving body according to the rate system selected by the user.

Embodiments of the present invention will now be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings. It is to be noted that like components are denoted by like reference numerals anywhere in the drawings, if possible. Further, a detailed description of a known and data function and a configuration that may unnecessarily obscure a subject of the present invention will be omitted.
FIG. 1 is a block diagram illustrating a configuration of a central server according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
A central server 100 according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention provides a rate system service for electric use, such as a fixed rate per month, for and electric charge for an electric moving body to a user. In addition, the central server 100 has a configuration for controlling electric charge to perform the charging of the electric moving body according to a rate system selected by each user.
In addition, the central server 100 according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention may provide additional information associated with the electric charge for the electric moving body.
As illustrated in FIG. 1, the central server 100 according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention may be configured to include a communication module 110, a user rate system information database (DB) 120, a charge control information database 130, a user information database 140, a charge history information database for each user 150, a charge station information database 160, and a control unit 170.
The communication module 110 performs communication with the outside.
The user rate system information database 120 stores user rate system information that is previously registered for electric charge for each user.
Herein, an example of the user rate system information may include unrestricted rate system information that may charge electricity immediately at a fixed rate without limiting electric energy and frequency for a month, late-night rate system information that may charge electricity immediately at a fixed rate without limiting electric energy and frequency for a month but may be limited to a late-night time as a chargeable time, low rate system information that may charge electricity immediately at a fixed rate without limiting electric energy and frequency for a month but may partially limit charging according to an electricity demand and supply condition, and the like.
As described in the foregoing example, the user rate system information includes rate system service information, such as a fixed rate per month for electric charge.
The charge control information database 130 stores the charge control information for controlling electric charge for an electric moving body according to at least one user rate system information.
The charge control information stored in the charge control information database 130 is information to perform the charging of the electric moving body, meeting the electric charge mode provided by the corresponding rate system service according to the user rate system information, such as the unrestricted rate system information, the late-night rate system information, the low rate system information, and the like, that are described as the example above.
For example, in connection with the unrestricted rate system information, the charge control information of the charge mode that may immediately charge electricity without electric energy and frequency for a month is immediately stored in the charge control information database 130.
In connection with the late-night rate system information, the charge control information of the late-night charge mode that may immediately charge electricity without electric energy and frequency for a month but charge electricity only within the late-night time from P.M. 9 to A.M. 9 previously set is stored in the charge control information database 130.
In connection with the low rate system information, the charge control information of the low charge mode that may immediately charge electricity without electric energy and frequency for a month but partially limit charging according to an electricity demand and supply condition is stored in the charge control information database 130.
The charge control information may include information that is transmitted to an electric charger charging electricity in the electric moving body to control the charge operation of the electric charger or information that is transmitted to the electric moving body to control a charge operation of a battery included in the electric moving body.
As described above, the charge control information database 130 stores the charge control information to provide various electric charge modes matched with a variety of user rate system information to a user according to the user rate system information.
The user information database 140 stores user identification information that is previously registered. The user information database 140 stores the unique identification information of the user that may determine whether the user requesting the electric charge in the electric moving body is a previously registered user.
The charge history information database for each user 150 stores the charge history information that performs the electric charge in the electric moving body for each user.
Herein, the charge history information includes at least one of date and time of electric charge every time, charge station information (including name and address of charge station) every time, charge lead time ever time, charged amount every time, charger information (including information on a kind of charger such as a slow charger or a quick charger) every time, charge frequency for each month, accumulated charge lead time for each month, and charged amount for month.
The charge station information database 160 stores information on at least one charge station that may charge electricity in the electric moving body. Herein, the information on the charge station includes at least one of the name and address of the charge station, whether the charger included in the charge station is a slow charger or a quick charger, the use state information of the charger included in the charge station.
When the electric charge request of the user is input through the communication module 110, the control unit 170 may determine whether the corresponding user is a previously registered user by using the user identification information stored in the user information database 140. Further, as the determination result, when the user corresponds to the previously registered user, the corresponding user searches the previously registered user rate system information in the user rate system information database 120.
The control unit 170 extracts the charge control information on the searched user rate system information from the charge control information database 130 and provides the charge control information to the outside through the communication module 110.
In addition, the control unit 170 changes and stores the user rate system information stored in the user rate system information database 120 according to the request when the rate system change request of the user is input from the user through the communication module 110.
The user previously registers the late-night rate system information as the user rate system information for electric charge, but there may be a case of immediately performing electric charge in the electric moving body of the user during daytime, not the late-night time. Therefore, when the user request to change the user rate system information to the unrestricted rate system is input from the outside, the control unit 170 changes the rate system information of the corresponding user to the unrestricted rate system information according to the request and stores the changed rate information in the user rate system information database 120.
When the charge history information request of the user is input through the communication module 110, the control unit 170 may provide the charge history information of the corresponding user stored in the charge history information database for each user 150 through the communication module 110.
In addition, when the charge station information request is input through the communication module 110, the control unit 170 may provide the information on the charge station stored in the charge station information database 160 according to the request.
Therefore, the central server 100 according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention provides the charge control information that may charge electricity in the electric moving body in the corresponding charge mode according to the rate system information registered by the user at the time of charging the electric moving body of the user. In addition, the central server 100 may change the user rate system information of the corresponding user and provide the additional information, such as other charge history information or the information on the charge station, according to the user request.
FIG. 2 is a diagram illustrating a configuration of a charge control system for an electric moving body according to a user rate system according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention.
The charge control system for an electric moving body according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention may be configured to include a terminal device 200, the central server 100, and a billing server 300.
The terminal device 200 may transmit the change request of the user rate system information previously registered for electric charge according to the user operation. Herein, the terminal device 200 is referred to as a mobile communication terminal, a smart phone, a navigation device, and the like, of a user of an electric moving body 500 and serves to transmit the rate system change request of the user so that the rate system information for electric charge may be changed according to the user condition to perform the electric charge of the charge mode corresponding to the changed rate system information.
Further, the terminal device 200 may serve to receive other additional information related to the electric charge according to the user request, for example, the charge history information of the user, the charge station information, the current charge state information for the electric moving body 500, and the like, from the central server 100 and display the information to the user.
The central server 100 changes the user rate system information previously registered for electric charge of the corresponding user according to the rate system information change request of the user transmitted from the terminal device 200. Further, when the corresponding user requests the electric charge, the central server 100 provides the electric charge control information according to the changed user rate system information.
FIG. 3 is a diagram illustrating a user rate system change screen according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention and illustrates a user interface screen displayed on the terminal device 200 so that the rate system change request of the user is input through the terminal device 200.
The terminal device 200 displays the information on the current electric charge mode of the user. Further, as illustrated in FIG. 3, when the current electric charge mode is the low charge mode that may restrict the electric charge according to the electricity demand and supply, the user interface receiving the user request to immediately change the electric charge mode to the immediate charge mode that may immediately charge electricity without limiting the electric moving body 500 according to the user condition is provided.
When the change request to the immediate charge mode of the user is input, the terminal device 200 provides the change request to the user rate system providing an immediate charge mode to the central server 100. Therefore, the terminal device 200 changes the rate system information of the corresponding user registered in the central server 100.
The central server 100 may communicate with a charger 400 performing electric charge in the electric moving body or a communication unit included in the electric moving body 500 itself. The central server 100 may perform the communication with the charger 400 or the communication unit included in the electric moving body 500 itself at the time of charging the electric moving body 500 of the user to receive the information on the current state of the charger 400 or the current electric charge state of the battery for the electric moving body 500.
The central server 100 receives at least one of charged amount information of the battery within the electric moving body 500, an expected charge lead time required to charge the battery, a charge remaining time, an the information on the electric charger 400 performing the electric charge in real time during the execution of the electric charge in the electric moving body 500 through the communication with the charger 400 or the communication unit included in the electric moving body 500. In addition, when the information request on the electric charge condition is transmitted from the terminal device 200 during the execution of the electric charge in the electric moving body 500, the central server 100 may provide the received information to the terminal device 200. FIG. 4 illustrates an appearance of an exemplary embodiment in which the central server 100 provides the corresponding information to the terminal device 200 according to the information request on the electric charge condition and the terminal device 200 displays the received information.
That is, FIG. 4 is a diagram illustrating a screen on which the charge condition for the electric moving body 500 according to an exemplary embodiment of the present invention is displayed and as illustrated in FIG. 4, the terminal device 200 may provide the information on the charge progressing state of the battery, the charged electric energy, the charge mode for the electric moving body 500 of the user, the charge lead time required to charge the battery, and the charge remaining time from the central server 100 and may provide the information to the user in real time.
Meanwhile, as described above, the central server 100 stores the charge history information or the information on the charge station in the database and when there is the user request for the corresponding information from the terminal device 200, the requested information may be provided to the terminal device 200 as the additional information service.
The billing server 300 is connected with the central server 100 to receive at least one of the user rate system information previously registered by the user from the central server 100 and the user rate system information changed by the corresponding user request and perform a function of charging the electric charge rate to the corresponding user.
The billing server 300 charges the electric charge rate to the corresponding user based on the user rate system information previously registered by the user and when the rate system information change of the user is requested, calculates the electric rate in consideration of the changed matters and charges the calculated electric rate to the corresponding user.
The central server 100 according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention controls the charging of the electric moving body 500 according to the rate system selected by the user and the terminal device 200 may change the rate system previously selected by the user.
Therefore, the electric moving body 500 charging service is provided to the user according to various rate systems, the rate system information previously registered is changed by using the terminal device 200 according to the user condition, and the charging of the electric moving body 500 may be controlled according to the change.
In addition, the billing server 300 according to the exemplary embodiment of the present invention performs billing for the electric charge according to the user rate system information previously set by the user. In addition, when the user changes the user rate system information, the electric charge rate is charged to the user in consideration of the changed matters.
Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been disclosed for illustrative purposes, those skilled in the art will appreciate that various modifications, additions and substitutions are possible, without departing from the scope and spirit of the invention as disclosed in the accompanying claims. Accordingly, such modifications, additions and substitutions should also be understood to fall within the scope of the present invention.

Claims (8)

  1. A central server, comprising:
    a communication module performing communication with the outside;
    a user rate system information database storing user rate system information previously registered for electric charge for each user;
    a charge control information database storing charge control information for controlling electric charge according to at least one user rate system information; and
    a control unit providing the charge control information for controlling electric charge from the charge control information database according to the user rate system information of the corresponding user stored in the user rate system information database when an electric charge request of the user is input through the communication module.
  2. The central server of claim 1, further comprising:
    a user information database storing user identification information previously registered,
    wherein the control unit determines whether the corresponding user is a previously registered user by using the user identification information stored in the user information database when the electric charge request of the user is input through the communication module and provides the charge control information for controlling electric charge from the charge control information database according to the user rate system information of the corresponding user if it is determined that the user is the previously registered user.
  3. The central server of claim 1, wherein the control unit changes and stores the user rate system information stored in the user rate system information database according to the request when the rate system change request of the user is input through the communication module.
  4. The central server of claim 1, further comprising:
    a charge history information database for each user storing charge history information performing the electric charge for each user,
    wherein the control unit provides the charge history information of the corresponding user stored in the charge history information database for each user, when the charge history information request is input through the communication module.
  5. The central server of claim 4, wherein the charge history information includes at least one of date and time of electric charge every time, charge station information every time, charge lead time ever time, charged amount every time, charger information every time, charge frequency for each month, accumulated charge lead time for each month, and charged amount for month.
  6. The central server of claim 1, further comprising:
    a charge station information database storing information on at least one charge station charging electricity,
    wherein the control unit provides information on a charge station stored in the charge station information database according to the request when the charge station information request is input through the communication module.
  7. A charge control system for an electric moving body according to a user rate system, comprising:
    a terminal device transmitting an information change request for user rate system information previously registered for electric charge according to a user operation; and
    a central server changing the user rate system information previously registered for electric charge of the corresponding user according to the information change request transmitted from the terminal device and when there is the electric charge request of the corresponding user, providing electric charge control information according to the changed user rate system information.
  8. The charge control system for an electric moving body of claim 7, further comprising:
    a billing server receiving at least one of a billing server receiving user rate system information previously registered by the user from the central server and the user rate system information changed by the corresponding user request to charge an electric charge rate to the corresponding user.
