This invention relates to a banknote handling apparatus, and more particularly, to a banknote depositing / withdrawing unit that deposits or dispenses banknotes in the banknote handling apparatus.
In an automatic teller machine used in a financial institution or the like, a shutter is generally mounted on the upper part of a bill deposit / withdrawal unit (for example, Patent Document 1).
In recent years, in order to reinforce security for banknotes in the banknote depositing / withdrawing part, an automatic teller machine having a double shutter structure of an upper shutter and a lower shutter has begun to be used. In the case of such an automatic cash transaction apparatus having a double shutter structure, a space is generated between the upper shutter and the lower shutter. Depending on how the user inserts the banknote, the banknote may not be inserted into the banknote pocket and may be caught in the space between the upper shutter and the lower shutter. The banknote handling apparatus detects whether or not banknotes exist in the space between the upper shutter and the lower shutter by a sensor, but may not be detected depending on how the banknotes are sandwiched. The present invention has been made to solve the above-described problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide an automatic cash handling apparatus that can detect a bill inserted by a user between an upper shutter and a lower shutter.
SUMMARY An advantage of some aspects of the invention is to solve at least a part of the problems described above, and the invention can be implemented as the following forms.
According to one form of this invention, a banknote handling apparatus is provided. The banknote handling apparatus of this form temporarily arranges an opening for inserting and discharging banknotes and a banknote disposed through the opening, or a banknote discharged through the opening, disposed below the opening. A banknote deposit / withdrawal part having a banknote pocket to be stored, a first shutter provided in the opening, a second shutter provided between the opening and the banknote pocket, and the opening And a sensor for detecting the presence or absence of a bill between the bill pocket and a first lever provided on the second shutter side of the first shutter. When the first shutter is closed, at least part of the first lever moves to the second shutter side in a space that cannot be detected by the sensor.
According to the banknote handling apparatus of this aspect, even when the banknote is erroneously set between the first shutter and the second shutter and the banknote cannot be detected by the sensor, the first shutter is closed. At least a part of the first lever moves to the second shutter side in a space that cannot be detected by the sensor. As a result, even if there is a banknote in the space that is not detected by the sensor, the first lever can deform or move the banknote that exists in the space that cannot be detected by the sensor so that the sensor can detect it. It becomes possible to detect the banknote.

The bill discriminating unit 40 and the bill temporary holding unit 50 are connected by bill transport paths 110d, 110e, and 110f. Here, a gate 110g is provided between the banknote transport path 110d and the banknote transport path 110e, and a gate 150g is provided between the banknote transport path 110e and the banknote transport path 110f. The bank 110g and the banknote pocket 32o for withdrawal are connected by a banknote transport path 140b. Banknote transport paths 110a and 110h are provided between the gates 150g and 151g, and a gate 152g is provided between the banknote transport paths 110a and 110h.
Gates 72g to 74g are provided on the banknote transport path 110a. Between the gate 152g and the forgetting collection box 60, banknote transport paths 110i and 110j and gates 70g and 71g are provided. Banknote transport paths 70a and 70b are provided between the gate 70g and the loading / recovery store 70, banknote transport paths 71a and 71b are provided between the gate 71g and the reject store 71, and the gate 72g and the recycle store 72 A bill conveyance path 72a is provided between the gate 73g and the recycle box 73, and a bill conveyance path 74a is provided between the gate 74g and the recycle box 74. Yes.
A gate 75g is provided between the banknote conveyance paths 70a and 70b. A gate 76g is provided between the banknote transport paths 71a and 71b. The gate 75g is used to switch which stacker is used when the loading / recovery store 70 includes two stackers 70c and 70d. Therefore, when the loading / recovery store 70 has only one stacker, the gate 75g may not be provided. The gate 76g is used to switch which stacker is used when the reject container 71 includes two stackers 71c and 71d. For example, it is possible to use the stacker 71c as a stacker for counterfeit bills and the stacker 71d as a stacker for genuine bills. For example, in Japan, 1,000 yen and 10,000 yen tickets are used for withdrawal, but 2000 yen and 5,000 yen tickets are not used for withdrawal. Therefore, when a 2000 yen ticket and a 5000 yen ticket are deposited, these banknotes are stored in the stacker 71d. Further, when the banknotes are collected from the stacker 71d to the loading / recovery store 70, if the loading / recovery store 70 includes two stackers 70c and 70d, it is possible to collect them separately for each face value.
Describe the operation when depositing. At the time of depositing, the partition plate 31 is moved to the left in the drawing, and the depositing bill pocket 32i is enlarged. The bills inserted into the deposit bill pocket 32i are transported to the bill discriminating unit 40 via the bill transport paths 140a and 110b, and their face value and authenticity are discriminated. The banknote whose face value could not be determined by the banknote determination unit 40 is returned to the depositing banknote pocket 32i via the banknote transport paths 110d and 140b. On the other hand, the banknote determined to have a face value and the banknote determined to be a counterfeit are conveyed to the banknote temporary storage unit 50 via the banknote transport paths 110d, 110e, and 110f. Thereafter, when an instruction for depositing is made by the user, it is conveyed again to the bill discriminating unit 40 via the bill transport paths 110f, 110e, and 110d, and the face value and authenticity are discriminated again. Thereafter, the bills are transported to one of the reject store 71 and the recycle stores 72 to 74 via the bill transport paths 110b and 110a. When the bill is a genuine note, the gates 71g to 74g and the gate 76g are switched according to the face value of the bill and stored in either the stacker 71c of the reject store 71 or the recycle stores 72 to 74. On the other hand, if the bill is a fake note, it is stored in the stacker 71c of the reject store 71. Further, when the deposit is canceled by the user, it is transported again to the bill discriminating section 40 via the bill transport paths 110f, 110e and 110d, and the face value and authenticity are discriminated again. Thereafter, the banknote is sent to the banknote transport path 140c by the gate 153g, then sent to the banknote transport path 140b, and returned to the deposit banknote pocket 32i.
Describe the operation at the time of withdrawal. At the time of withdrawal, the partition plate 31 is moved to the right in the drawing, and the withdrawal bill pocket 32o is enlarged. The control unit 80 determines how many sheets are to be withdrawn from which recycling store according to the withdrawal amount requested by the user. Then, the necessary number of banknotes is obtained from each of the recycle boxes 72-74. The bill is conveyed to the bill discriminating unit 40 via the bill transport paths 110a and 110b, and the face value and authenticity are discriminated. Thereafter, the banknote whose face value is confirmed is transported to the banknote pocket 32o for withdrawal via the banknote transport paths 110d and 140b. On the other hand, the banknote whose face value has not been confirmed is transported to the banknote temporary storage unit 50 via the banknote transport paths 110d, 110e, and 110f. When the withdrawal process to the user is completed, the banknotes transported to the banknote temporary storage unit 50 are transported again to the banknote discrimination unit 40 via the banknote transport paths 110f, 110e and 110d, and the face value and authenticity are once again displayed. Then, the paper is further conveyed to the reject box 71 via the banknote conveyance paths 110b and 110a.
When banknotes are replenished to the recycle boxes 72 to 74, they are conveyed from the loading collection box 70. The bills are transported to the bill discriminating unit 40 via the bill transport paths 70a, 110i, 110h, 110e, and 110d, and their face value and authenticity are discriminated. The banknote whose face value could not be determined is returned to the loading collection box 70 through the same route as when the banknote was collected.
FIG. 5 is an explanatory view showing, in an enlarged manner, the upper part of the banknote depositing / withdrawing part in a state where the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter 34 are closed. The upper shutter 36 includes one or more upper movable levers 37 on the lower shutter 34 side. The upper movable lever 37 is a rod-shaped member, and includes a lever positioning cam 37a, a lever raising spring 37b, and a lever fulcrum shaft 37c. The upper movable lever 37 is connected to the upper shutter 36 by a lever fulcrum shaft 37c. The lever triggering spring 37b urges and rotates the upper movable lever 37 about the lever fulcrum shaft 37c in the direction of the lower shutter 34 (in the direction of arrow 37d in the drawing). Specifically, in the state where no external force is applied to the upper movable lever 37, the upper movable lever 37 is indicated by the upper movable lever 37 indicated by a solid line from the position indicated by the broken line 37e by the lever raising spring 37b. Rotate to position. Here, the lever positioning cam 37a determines how far the upper movable lever is rotated. That is, the upper movable lever 37 rotates in the direction of the arrow 37d until the lever positioning cam 37a comes into contact with the lever positioning guide 39 at the contact point 38a and stops. When the upper movable lever 37 receives an external force in the direction of the arrow 37i in this state, the upper movable lever 37 rotates in the counterclockwise direction with the lever fulcrum shaft 37c as a fulcrum, and becomes a state indicated by a broken line 37e. it can. For example, when the upper shutter 36 is open, the upper shutter 36 is stored in the upper shutter storage portion 37g on the left side of the drawing. In this case, the upper movable lever 37 is rotated by an external force in the direction of an arrow 37i received from the upper shutter storage portion 37g, and is stored stationary at a position indicated by a broken line 37e.
The lower shutter 34 includes one or a plurality of lower movable levers 35. The lower movable lever 35 is a rod-like member, and includes a lever raising spring 35b and a lever fulcrum shaft 35c. The lower movable lever 35 is connected to the lower shutter 34 by a lever fulcrum shaft 35c. The lever raising spring 35b urges and rotates the lower movable lever 35 around the lever fulcrum shaft 35c in the direction of the upper shutter 36 (in the direction of the arrow 35d in the drawing). Specifically, the lower movable lever 35 moves from the position indicated by the broken line 35e to the position indicated by the lower movable lever 35 indicated by the solid line. When the lower shutter 34 is open, the lower movable lever 35 is stored in the lower shutter storage portion 35g on the left side of the drawing. In this case, the lower movable lever 35 receives the force in the direction of the arrow 35i by the external force received from the lower shutter storage portion 35g, and is stored at the position indicated by the broken line 35e. In this embodiment, the lower shutter 34 may have an opening so that the lower movable lever 35 can be transmitted. In this embodiment, the lever fulcrum shaft 35c and the lever triggering spring 35b are provided on the lower side of the lower shutter 34 (on the side opposite to the upper shutter 36) because of the arrangement, but the lever fulcrum shaft 35c and the lever triggering spring 35b are provided. May be provided above the lower shutter 34 (on the upper shutter 36 side). In this case, the opening of the lower shutter 34 may be omitted.
Next, parts other than the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter 34 will be described. In the opening immediately above the lower shutter 34, a deposit port rear side guide 30a and a deposit port front side guide 30b are provided. The deposit port rear side guide 30a and the deposit port front side guide 30b are each a member made of a flexible material such as one or a plurality of plastic films or rubber sheets disposed on the upper surface of the bill deposit / withdrawal unit 30, and the lower surface of the safe housing 108. It is high enough to reach
An upper shutter rear guide 36a and an upper shutter front guide 36b are provided on the deposit port rear guide 30a and the deposit port front guide 30b, respectively. The upper shutter rear guide 36a and the upper shutter front guide 36b are rigid parts having heights that do not reach the banknote pocket 32 in the height direction, and the deposit port rear guide 30a and the deposit port front guide 30b are in the cross-sectional direction of the drawing. And one or a plurality of them are arranged at non-opposing positions to prevent the banknote from entering the gap between the safe housing 108 and the banknote deposit / withdrawal unit 30. It should be noted that the material for the rear inlet guide 30a and the inlet front guide 30b may be rigid, and the upper shutter rear guide 36a and upper shutter front guide 36b may be flexible.
Between the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter 34, an intermediate medium detection sensor 33c is provided. The intermediate medium detection sensor 33c includes a light emitting unit and a light receiving unit, and an optical axis 33d connecting the light emitting unit and the light receiving unit intersects a plane including a locus along which the upper movable lever 37 moves. The intermediate medium detection sensor 33c detects the presence or absence of a banknote depending on whether or not the optical axis 33d is blocked by the banknote. However, the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c is provided so that the optical path 33d does not intersect the first trajectory for moving the upper movable lever 37 and the second trajectory for moving the lower movable lever 35. This is to avoid misidentifying the upper movable lever 37 or the lower movable lever 35 itself as a bill.
FIG. 6 is an explanatory diagram illustrating an example of a state immediately after the bill 90 is inserted into the bill deposit / withdrawal unit 30 by the user. 6A is a side sectional view, and FIG. 6B is a front sectional view. In this state, both the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter 34 are open. Therefore, the upper movable lever 37 is stored in the state of the broken line 37e in FIG. 5, and the lower movable lever 35 is stored in the state of the broken line 35e in FIG. In the present embodiment, the number of the upper movable levers 37 is one, the number of the lower movable levers 35 is plural (four), and the upper movable lever 37 is located between the two on the center side of the lower movable lever 35. positioned. The number of the lower movable levers 35 may be one, and the number of the upper movable levers 37 may be plural. In addition, the number of the upper movable levers 37 and the number of the lower movable levers may be plural. The upper movable lever 37 and the lower movable lever 35 may be arranged so that the upper movable lever 37 and the lower movable lever 35 are alternately arranged as a whole, and partially as in the central portion of this embodiment. The upper movable lever 37 and the lower movable lever 35 may be arranged so that the upper movable lever 37 and the lower movable lever 35 are alternated.
In addition to the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c described in FIG. 5, the inter-shutter banknote sensor 36c, the lower shutter-banknote pocket sensor 30c, and the banknote pocket sensors 32c and 32e are arranged in the vicinity of the deposit banknote pocket 32i. Yes. The inter-shutter bill sensor 36c is provided between the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter 34 and closer to the upper shutter 36 than the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c. The optical axis 36d of the inter-shutter bill sensor 36c is in a position twisted with the optical axis 33d of the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c. The banknote pocket sensors 32c and 32e are provided below the inter-shutter banknote sensor 36c, and their optical axes 32d and 32f are in a twisted position with respect to the optical axis 36d of the inter-shutter banknote sensor 36c. The optical axes 32d and 32f penetrate the correctly inserted banknote 90. The control part 80 (FIG. 3) can detect that the banknote 90 was thrown in by the signal from the banknote pocket sensors 32c and 32e. The space 30c between the lower shutter and the bill pocket sensor is disposed so that the optical axis 30d passes immediately below the lower shutter 34, and is provided to detect whether or not the bill 90 is hooked on the lower shutter 34. . When the banknote 90 is detected by the lower shutter-banknote pocket sensor 30c, the control unit 80 can determine that the banknote 90 has not been inserted into the deposit banknote pocket 32i.
In the state shown in FIGS. 6A and 6B, when the user inserts the banknote 90, it cannot be inserted correctly, and some banknotes 90a are erroneously placed between the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter. It is inserted. However, at the position of the banknote 90a shown in FIGS. 6A and 6B, the banknote 90a does not block any of the optical axes 33d, 36d, and 30d, and the control unit 80 (FIG. 3) It cannot be recognized that some banknotes 90a are erroneously inserted between the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter. Therefore, the control unit 80 considers that the insertion of the banknote 90 has been completed, and closes the upper shutter 36.
FIG. 7 is an explanatory view showing a state in which only the upper shutter 36 is closed from the state of FIG. Similarly to FIGS. 6A and 6B, FIG. 7A is a side cross-sectional view, and FIG. 7B is a front cross-sectional view. When the upper shutter 36 is changed from the opened state to the closed state, the upper movable lever 37 folded as shown by a broken line 37e in FIG. 5 is rotated in the direction of the arrow 37d by a lever raising spring 37b (FIG. 5). Therefore, the bill 90 a is deformed by the upper movable lever 37. As a result, as shown in FIGS. 7A and 7B, the bill 90a shields the optical axis 30d between the lower shutter and the bill pocket sensor 30c, and the control unit 80 controls the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter. It becomes possible to detect the banknote 90a between 34.
The movement locus of the upper movable lever 37 and the optical axis 30d between the lower shutter and the banknote pocket sensor 30c are arranged so as not to intersect. Therefore, even when the banknote 90a is not present, the upper movable lever 37 is operated. The optical axis 30d is not shielded by the upper movable lever 37. The upper movable lever 37 moves in a space that does not intersect the optical axis 30d between the lower shutter and the bill pocket sensor 30c. Then, the upper movable lever 37 is connected to the optical axis 30d between the lower shutter and the bill pocket sensor 30c between the lower shutter and the bill pocket sensor. The banknote 90a thrown in the parallel direction is pressed down, and the position and posture of these banknotes 90a are changed. As a result, since the bill 90a blocks the optical axis 30d between the lower shutter and the bill pocket sensor 30c, the control unit 80 can detect the bill 90a.
In the present embodiment shown in FIG. 7, the configuration is such that three sets 30c between the lower shutter and the bill pocket sensor and one upper movable lever 37 are provided. For example, four upper movable levers 37 are arranged. Then, the lower shutter-banknote pocket sensor 30c and the upper movable lever 37 may be alternately arranged. In this way, at least one upper movable lever can contact the medium with the banknote 90a regardless of the space between the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter 34. As a result, the bill 90a can be detected by at least one pair of the lower shutter and the bill pocket sensor 30c among the three pairs of the lower shutter and the bill pocket sensor 30c.
When it is detected that the bill 90a is sandwiched between the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter 34, the control unit 80 notifies the main body control unit 107 (FIG. 2) to that effect. For example, in the case of depositing, the main body control unit 107 causes the control unit 80 to open the upper shutter 36 and causes the customer operation unit 105 to display a message “Please reinsert banknotes”. Alternatively, the main body control unit 107 may call a bank clerk.
FIG. 8 is an explanatory diagram showing a state in which the lower shutter 34 is closed in addition to the upper shutter 36 from the state of FIG. If the banknote 90a cannot be detected using the lower shutter-banknote pocket sensor 30c when the upper shutter 36 is closed, the controller 80 closes the lower shutter 34. As a result, the state shown in FIG. 8 is obtained.
During the closing of the lower shutter 34, the lower movable lever 35 rotates in the direction of the arrow 35d. At this time, the banknote is deformed as shown in the banknote 90b by receiving a force from the upper movable lever 37 from the upper side and the lower movable lever 35 from the lower side. By deforming the bill 90b in this way, the optical axis 33d of the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c provided between the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter 34 is blocked, and the bill 90b can be detected.
FIG. 9 is a flowchart relating to shutter control at the time of depositing banknotes performed by the control unit 80 during deposit transaction processing. In step S <b> 1, when receiving a deposit processing instruction from the main body control unit 107, the control unit 80 opens the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter 34.
FIG. 10 is an explanatory view schematically showing a state when a bill is inserted. Although not described in FIG. 6, the banknote depositing / withdrawing unit 30 includes an upper shutter full-open position sensor 36f and a lower shutter full-open position sensor 34f as shown in FIG. In step S2, the control unit 80 detects that the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter 34 are in the open position by the upper shutter full-open position sensor 36f and the lower shutter full-open position sensor 34f, respectively, and confirms that the full-open detection has been performed ( Step S2). The upper shutter fully open position sensor 36f is shielded from light when the upper shutter 36 is fully opened. The lower shutter full open position sensor 34f is shielded from light when the lower shutter 34 is fully opened. Therefore, the control unit 80 determines whether the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter 34 are in a state where the upper shutter full open position sensor 36f and the lower shutter full open position sensor 34f are in a light shielding state or a light transmitting state. It can be determined whether or not it is fully open.
In step S3, the control unit 80 confirms whether the operations of the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter 34 are normal. For example, when the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter 34 cannot be opened to a position that can be detected by the upper shutter full open position sensor 36f and the lower shutter full open position sensor 34f, the control unit 80 determines that it is not normal. . The control unit 80 notifies the main body control unit 107 that it is not normal, and the process proceeds to step S4 to stop the transaction.
When the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter 34 are normally opened, the control unit 80 shifts the process to step S5 and waits for the insertion of banknotes to be completed. Here, regarding the completion of the insertion of the banknote, for example, a method of completing the insertion when a predetermined time has elapsed after the banknote pocket sensors 32c and 32e detect the banknote 90, or the main body control unit 107 (FIG. 2) is operated by the customer. There is a method of displaying a “loading completion button” on the unit 105 and detecting that the user has pressed the loading completion button to complete loading.
FIG. 11 is an explanatory diagram schematically showing a state in which the upper shutter 36 is closed. When the user's insertion of bills is completed, the control unit 80 shifts the process to step S6 and closes the upper shutter 36 as shown in FIG. In step S7, the control unit 80 confirms that all of the lower shutter-bill pocket sensor 30c, the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c, and the inter-shutter bill sensor 36c are in a translucent state. Here, the translucent state is a state in which the optical axes 30d, 33d, and 36d (FIG. 6) of the lower shutter-banknote pocket sensor 30c, the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c, and the shutter banknote sensor 36c are not shielded by banknotes. means. If any one of the lower shutter-bill pocket sensor 30c, the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c, and the inter-shutter bill sensor 36c is in the light-shielded state, the control unit 80 shifts the processing to step S8, and controls the main body control unit 107. Informs that there is a light-blocking sensor. The main body control unit 107 displays a guidance “please reinsert banknotes” on the customer operation unit 105. Then, the control part 80 returns a process to step S1.
In step S6, when the control unit 80 closes the upper shutter 36, the upper movable lever 37 rotates in the clockwise direction in the drawing as shown in FIG. As a result, even if the bill 90a is accidentally sandwiched between the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter 34, the bill 90a is pushed downward by the upper movable lever 37, and the optical axis 30d between the lower shutter and the bill pocket sensor 30c. Shield the light. In such a case, in step S7, the control unit 80 does not determine that all of the lower shutter-banknote pocket sensor 30c, the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c, and the inter-shutter banknote sensor 36c are in a translucent state. The process proceeds to step S8.
In step S7, when all of the lower shutter-bill pocket sensor 30c, the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c, and the inter-shutter bill sensor 36c are in a translucent state, the control unit 80 shifts the processing to step S9. In step S9, the control unit 80 detects that the upper shutter fully closed position sensor 36e is not shielded, and confirms that the upper shutter 36 is fully closed. Although not described in FIG. 6, the banknote deposit / withdrawal unit 30 includes an upper shutter fully closed position sensor 36e. The upper shutter fully-closed position sensor 36e is in a light-shielding state when the upper shutter 36 is slightly open, and is in a light-transmitting state when the upper shutter 36 is fully closed. Therefore, the control unit 80 can determine whether or not the upper shutter 36 is fully closed depending on whether the upper shutter fully closed position sensor 36e is in a light shielding state or a light transmitting state.
In step S10, the control unit 80 confirms whether the operation of the upper shutter 36 is normal. For example, when the upper shutter 36 cannot be fully closed within a predetermined time, the control unit 80 determines that the operation of the upper shutter 36 is not normal. If the operation of the upper shutter 36 is not normal, the control unit 80 moves the process to step S11 and stops the transaction.
In step S12, the control unit 80 confirms that all of the lower shutter-bill pocket sensor 30c, the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c, and the inter-shutter bill sensor 36c are in a translucent state.
When all of the lower shutter-bill pocket sensor 30c, the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c, and the inter-shutter bill sensor 36c are in a light-transmitting state, the control unit 80 shifts the process to step S13 and closes the lower shutter 34. . In step S14, the control unit 80 confirms whether or not all of the lower shutter-banknote pocket sensor 30c, the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c, and the inter-shutter banknote sensor 36c are in a translucent state. For example, the bill 90a may be moved or deformed by the lower movable lever 35, and the optical axis of any one of the lower shutter-bill pocket sensor 30c, the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c, and the shutter bill sensor 36c may be blocked. . If any of the lower shutter-banknote pocket sensor 30c, the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c, and the inter-shutter banknote sensor 36c is in a light-shielded state in the process of closing the lower shutter 34, the control unit 80 proceeds to step S8. Then, the main body control unit 107 is notified that there is a light-shielded sensor. The main body control unit 107 displays a guidance “please reinsert banknotes” on the customer operation unit 105. Then, the control part 80 returns a process to step S1.
FIG. 12 is an explanatory view schematically showing a state in which the lower shutter 34 is closed in addition to the upper shutter 36. Although not described in FIG. 6, the banknote deposit / withdrawal unit 30 includes a lower shutter fully closed position sensor 34e. In step S15, it is detected that the lower shutter fully closed position sensor 34e is not shielded, and it is confirmed that the lower shutter 34 is fully closed. The lower shutter full-closed position sensor 34e is in a light-shielding state when the lower shutter 34 is even slightly open, and is in a light-transmitting state when the lower shutter 34 is fully closed. Therefore, the control unit 80 can determine whether or not the lower shutter 34 is fully closed depending on whether the lower shutter fully closed position sensor 34e is in a light shielding state or a light transmitting state.
In step S16, the control unit 80 confirms whether the operation of the lower shutter 34 is normal. For example, when the lower shutter 34 cannot be fully closed within a predetermined time, the control unit 80 determines that the operation of the lower shutter 34 is not normal. If the operation of the lower shutter 34 is not normal, the control unit 80 shifts the process to step S17 and stops the transaction.
In step S18, the control unit 80 confirms whether or not all of the lower shutter-banknote pocket sensor 30c, the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c, and the inter-shutter banknote sensor 36c are in a translucent state. When the lower shutter 34 is closed, the lower movable lever 35 jumps up toward the upper shutter 36. When there is a bill between the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter 34, the bill is deformed or moved by the lower movable lever 35 to move between the lower shutter and the bill pocket sensor 30c, the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c, Any one of the inter-shutter bill sensors 36c is set in a light shielding state. When any one of the lower shutter-banknote pocket sensor 30c, the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c, and the shutter-banknote sensor 36c is in a light-shielded state, the control unit 80 shifts the process to step S8, and controls the main body control unit 107. Informs that there is a light-blocking sensor. The main body control unit 107 displays a guidance “please reinsert banknotes” on the customer operation unit 105. Then, the control part 80 returns a process to step S1. On the other hand, the control unit 80 completes the deposit process when all of the lower shutter-banknote pocket sensor 30c, the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c, and the shutter-banknote sensor 36c are translucent.
As described above, according to the present embodiment, the banknote 90a is fitted between the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter 34, and the control unit 80 has the lower shutter-banknote pocket sensor 30c, the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c, and the inter-shutter banknote sensor 36c. No matter which of these is used, even if the bill cannot be detected, when the upper shutter 36 is closed, the bill is pushed downward by the upper movable lever 37, so that the lower shutter-bill pocket sensor 30c, the intermediate medium The bill 90a can be moved or deformed to a position that can be detected by either the detection sensor 33c or the inter-shutter bill sensor 36c.
Further, by pushing the bill downward by the upper movable lever 37, the bill is moved or deformed to a position that can be detected by any one of the lower shutter-bill pocket sensor 30c, the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c, and the inter-shutter bill sensor 36c. Even when the lower shutter 34 is closed, the bills are moved or deformed by the lower movable lever 35 to close the lower shutter-banknote pocket sensor 30c, the intermediate medium detection sensor 33c, and the shutter shutter bank sensor 36c. The banknote 90a can be moved or deformed to a position that can be detected by either.
In the above embodiment, it has been described that both the upper movable lever 37 and the lower movable lever 35 are provided. However, the upper movable lever 37 and the lower movable lever 35 deform or move the bill between the upper shutter 36 and the lower shutter 34. Therefore, it may be configured to include only one of them.
