Abstract
The invention relates to a wheel drive unit (4) for a wheel (2, 3) of an electrically driven vehicle (1), having an electrical machine (5) for driving the wheel (2, 3), which has a stator and a rotor, rotatably mounted on the stator, which can be connected to the wheel (2, 3) of the vehicle (1), and having an electronic control device (7) for actuating the electrical machine (5), wherein the wheel drive unit (4) has an eddy current brake (8) by means of which the rotor can be decelerated.
