まず、CPU11は、外部電源接続検出部16、17から検出信号が供給されたか否かを判別する(ステップS1)。図1において、ACアダプタ31が携帯端末装置10と接続されると、外部電源接続検出部16からCPU11に検出信号が供給される。また、携帯端末装置10が充電台32に載置され、接続端子B2側の接点スイッチが押下されると、外部電源接続検出部17からCPU11に検出信号が供給される。そして、いずれの外部電源接続検出部16、17からもCPU11に検出信号が供給されない場合には(ステップS1-NO)、携帯端末装置10がACアダプタ(#1)31に接続されておらず、また、携帯端末装置10が充電台32に載置されていないので、CPU11は、当該処理を終了する。
この場合、外部電源との非接続の状況をユーザに通知する。
外部電源接続検出部16は、ACアダプタ(#1)31の接続を検出する。外部電源接続検出部17は、携帯端末装置10の充電台32への載置(スイッチSWの押下)を検出する。このため、ACアダプタ(#1)31が接続されても、あるいは、携帯端末装置10が充電台32に載置されたとしても、ACアダプタ(#1)31、(#2)33がAC電源(商用電源)に接続されているとは限らない。
この場合、充電に利用している外部電源の電源状況、及び充電状況をユーザに通知する。
この場合、充電に用いている外部電源をユーザに通知する。また、充電に利用していない他の外部電源は、解除が可能である旨を通知するようにしてもよい。また、優先順位の高い外部電源の電源状況が「不良」である場合には、その外部電源の代わりに、実際に充電に用いている外部電源をユーザに通知するようにしてもよい。

Claims (10)
- 複数の外部電源のいずれかから供給される電力で充電される二次電池と、
前記複数の外部電源の各々が接続されたことを検出する検出部と、
前記検出部の検出結果に基づき、前記複数の外部電源を用いた充電の可否を示す電源状況を判定する電源状況判定部と、
前記電源状況判定部が判定した前記複数の外部電源の各々の前記電源状況と、前記複数の外部電源のうち前記二次電池に前記電力を供給する外部電源を選択する順位である前記外部電源の優先順位とに基づいて、前記複数の外部電源の中から充電に用いる外部電源を選択する選択部と、
前記選択部が選択した前記外部電源から供給される電力で前記二次電池を充電する充電部と、
前記選択部が選択した前記外部電源を示す情報を出力する出力部と
を備える携帯端末装置。 - 前記選択部は、
前記電源状況判定部が、充電に用いることの可能な外部電源があると判定した場合、充電に用いることが可能であると判定された前記外部電源のうち、最も優先順位の高い外部電源を、前記二次電池の充電に用いる外部電源として選択する請求項1に記載の携帯端末装置。 - 前記出力部は、
前記充電部を用いた前記外部電源から前記二次電池への充電の状況を示す情報を出力する請求項1あるいは2に記載の携帯端末装置。 - 前記優先順位は、
前記電源状況判定部が判定した前記複数の外部電源の各々の前記電源状況あるいは前記二次電池の状態のうち少なくとも一方に応じて、最も充電に適した外部電源を、前記二次電池の充電に用いる外部電源として選択するように動的に変更される請求項1から3のうちいずれか一項に記載の携帯端末装置。 - 前記複数の外部電源は、
商用電源、太陽光発電を用いた電源、風力発電を用いた電源、化学反応を用いた燃料電池、非接触の形態の電源の少なくとも一つ以上を含む請求項1から4のうちいずれか一項に記載の携帯端末装置。 - 前記複数の外部電源と前記携帯端末装置との接続形態として、外部電源と前記携帯端末装置が接続端子を介して接続される接続形態、前記携帯端末装置を充電台に載置して外部電源と前記携帯端末装置が接続される接続形態、外部電源と前記携帯端末装置が非接触で電磁気的に接続される接続形態の少なくとも一つ以上を含む請求項1から5のうちいずれか一項に記載の携帯端末装置。
- 前記検出部は、
前記携帯端末装置が、電源装置を介して、前記複数の外部電源の各々と接続されているか否かを判定し、
前記電源状況判定部は、
前記電源装置が前記携帯端末装置と接続されていることを前記検出部が検出した場合、前記二次電池を充電するのに必要とされる十分な電力が前記電源装置から供給されるか否かを判定し、前記電源装置を介して接続される前記外部電源から前記二次電池を充電するのに必要とされる十分な電力が供給されていない場合、当該電源装置と前記外部電源が接続されているものの前記外部電源を用いた充電が不可能であると判定し、
前記出力部は、
前記電源装置と前記外部電源が接続されているものの前記外部電源を用いた充電が不可能であると前記電源状況判定部が判定した場合、前記電源装置と前記外部電源が接続されているものの前記外部電源から前記二次電池を充電するのに必要とされる十分な電力が供給されていない旨の情報を出力する請求項1から6のうちいずれか一項に記載の携帯端末装置。 - 前記出力部は、前記電源状況を示す情報を出力する請求項1から7のうちいずれか一項に記載の携帯端末装置。
- 複数の外部電源のいずれかから供給される電力で二次電池を充電する充電方法であって、
前記複数の外部電源の各々が接続されたか否かを検出し、
検出結果に基づき、前記複数の外部電源を用いた充電の可否を示す電源状況を判定し、
判定された前記複数の外部電源の各々の前記電源状況と、前記複数の外部電源のうち前記二次電池に前記電力を供給する外部電源を選択する順位である前記外部電源の優先順位とに基づいて、前記複数の外部電源の中から充電に用いる外部電源を選択し、
選択された前記外部電源から供給される電力で前記二次電池を充電し、
選択された前記外部電源を示す情報を出力する充電方法。 - コンピュータに、
複数の外部電源の各々が接続されたことを検出する検出機能、
前記検出機能の検出結果に基づき、前記複数の外部電源を用いた充電の可否を示す電源状況を判定する電源状況判定機能、
前記電源状況判定機能が判定した前記複数の外部電源の各々の前記電源状況と、前記複数の外部電源のうち前記二次電池に前記電力を供給する外部電源を選択する順位である前記外部電源の優先順位とに基づいて、前記複数の外部電源の中から充電に用いる外部電源を選択する選択機能、
前記選択機能が選択した前記外部電源から供給される電力で前記二次電池を充電する充電機能、
前記選択機能が選択した前記外部電源を示す情報を出力する出力機能
を実行させるプログラム。
