Abstract

This invention discloses a handle (1) for cleaning utensils, comprising a female bushing (B), a male bushing (C) designed to fit and connect to the female bushing (B), a first section (3) with a female bushing (B) at one end, a second, intermediate section (4) having, at each end, a male bushing (C) that connects to the female bushing (B) of the first section (3), and a third section (5) comprising a female bushing (B) that connects to the intermediate section (4) by the connection of said female bushing (B) to the male bushing (C) on the second section. The male and female bushings are designed to enable reversible or irreversible fitting and connection, the connection being strengthened by means of a second end (15) on the male bushing.

CLEANING ITEM HANDLE

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION

The present invention relates to a cleaning article handle, of the type of scrubber, brooms and other articles, the purpose of which is to provide an easily transportable grab bar by virtue of a length considerably shorter than that of conventional ones by being established by modular sections , and by means of one-piece caps of very low cost of realization and with functionalities such as the fitting of the sections and the anti-rotation characteristic thereof.

Another purpose of the present invention is to provide coupling and joining mechanisms between reversible and irreversible sections to be able to disassemble or not the modular sections.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Handles of cleaning tools and the like are known in the state of the art, including the Spanish utility model ES 1 073 103 U, "Handle for cleaning articles". As expressed in the first claim of said utility model, said handle is composed of several tongue-and-groove sections longitudinally connectable by means of one or more male bushes and one more female bushes, arranged in solidarity at some of the free ends of the set of said sections. disconnected However, it has been proven that this device can have a better mechanical resistance in its joints, thus increasing the robustness and durability of the product, while improving its aesthetics by reducing the width of the trim.

No grips, brooms and other cleaning items with removable sections are known in the state of the art. whose connection is reversible or irreversible, as does the grip handle of the present invention.

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

To achieve the stated objectives, a cleaning article handle has been developed, comprising a main handle handle, a male bushing, a female bushing and three different sections. There is a first section, connecting with the handle, which has a female bushing at one end. There is also at least a second, intermediate section, which has at each of its ends a male bushing, and which is connected to the female bushing of the first leg by one of the male bushes. The third section comprises, on the one hand, a female bushing that is connected to the intermediate section and, on the other hand, a terminal bushing with a tapered thread for coupling the cleaning article. The male bushing is configured to engage and join the female bushing.

Additionally, in the preferred embodiment of the invention, each male bushing comprises a first end which in turn comprises a first appendix, a second appendix and a third appendix, such that the coupling and connection between the male bushing and the female bushing is carried carried out by inserting the first end into a socket hole comprised in the female bushing. Figure 1 shows that the grip handle 1 of cleaning items such as mops, brooms, brushes and others, has several modular sections 3,4,5 including section 3 of connection with the handle 2 (being in this example the handle 2 a body superimposed on the free end of said section 3), the intermediate section 4 (which in this example disposes at its two ends of respective male bushings C), and the connection section with the cleaning article 5 ( provided in the present example with a female bushing B).

In addition, as shown in Figure 1, the connecting section with the handle 3 has another female bushing B that is located at the opposite end to its free end, while the connecting section 5 with the cleaning article It also has a terminal bushing A in which there is a sectional grip area 9 of this bushing, and a tapered thread 6 for connection with the cleaning article.

On the other hand, the female B and male C bushings also include respective grip areas 10 and 11 for each section, as can be seen in Figure 1.

Each male bushing C has a first end 16 which is coupled to a female bushing B. Said first end 16 comprises a first cylindrical appendix 12, a second appendix 13 of shorter length than the previous one and with constant section corresponding to that of a prism rectangular with at least one recess in one of its faces, and a third appendix 14 that is cylindrical in the manner of a brass, with its beveled free edge and centrally connected to the internal area of the corresponding base of said prism. The configuration described above determines a coupling and a reversible joint between the female bushing B and the male bushing C. In addition, each male bushing C has a second end 15 which is introduced on each side of the second leg 4, providing rigidity to the coupling with the adjacent section. Said adjacent section may be either the connecting section 3 with the handle, the connecting section 5 with the cleaning article, or another intermediate section 4.

In this exemplary embodiment of the invention, the first appendix 12 of the male bushing C has radial projections 7 that fit into grooves 8 of any of the female bushing B, so that in addition to improving the corresponding snap fit of other embodiments, they determine anti-rotation means, so that the application to mop or cleaning tools that require twisting is not prevented by simply snapping the bushings in this preferred embodiment.

In addition, as mentioned, the female bushing B has a grip area in section 10, while the male bushing C has a grip area in section 11. These zones 10 and 11 allow making the bushes B and C with a material such as injected plastic and gripping the sections with a light adhesive, so that the price of both manufacturing and assembly are considerably lower than those that would occur in other embodiments or in other records of the prior art; this constitution and advantageous functionalities can be appreciated both in figure 2 and in figure 3.

Another embodiment of the invention is the embodiment shown in Figures 4 to 6, where the shape of the first, second and third appendix determines an irreversible connection between the female bushing (B) and the male bushing (C). Thus, the handle for cleaning articles of this exemplary embodiment of the invention is applicable to cleaning tools such as brooms, mops, floor brushes and others that require a long handle or handle; the handle 1 of this example can be seen with its components mounted in figure 5, where it is appreciated that said handle 1 mounted it includes a connection end 9 to the cleaning tool head with a conical threaded termination 6, while the other free end of the handle 1 with its components mounted has a main gripping 2 which is provided with a hanging hole 18 of the cleaning tool.

Handle 1 is made up of trea 3-5 sections connectable by male bushings C and female bushes B, as shown in figure 4, where the three sections 3-5 are disconnected.

Said bushings B and C are attached to the corresponding ends of sections 3-5 which include them by gluing, conventional or ultrasonic welding or other standard immovable joint.

For this example of the invention, as seen in Figures 4 and 5, sections 3-5 are arranged in number of three, the central 4 of them having a male bushing C at each of its free ends; while each of the other two sections 3.5 of the handle 1 of the present example has a female bushing B at its innermost free end; other configurations not being ruled out, both in the number of sections and in the arrangement of the male and female bushes, for other embodiments of the invention.

Furthermore, in the present embodiment, the connection between each male bushing C with its corresponding female bushing B is a fixed, immovable and irreversible connection so that when connecting all sections 3-5 of the handle 1, it is permanently configured as a single-piece stick equivalent in ease of use to the conventional mop stick or handle, brooms and other cleaning tools. Said fixed, immovable and irreversible joint can be clearly seen in the section of Figure 6, where the connection between the male C and female B bush has already been made, and in the enlarged detail of Figure 4, where it has not yet been made carried out said union, achieving it by means of an elastic jump joint in which the male bushing C has an extension with non-circumferential perimeter to prevent axial turns between sections 3-5 after its connection, with slight conicity to facilitate its entry into the female bushing B, and with a harpoon-tipped end 14 that allows the introduction of reversible in a socket hole 19 at the bottom of a recess 17 provided in the female bushing B; this hollow 17 having a geometry corresponding to the housing fitted to the first appendix 12 of the male bushing C. Thus, once the third appendix 14 in the shape of a harpoon tip emanates the innermost edge of the hole 19 by light pressure, the configuration in harpoon prevents the removal of said third appendage 14 in the form of a tip when it is retained by the inner edge of the hole 19.

Additionally and optionally, in this second embodiment of the invention, the male bushing C can comprise a second end which is introduced on either side of the second section 4, providing rigidity to the coupling with the adjacent section 3, 4 or 5 completely identical to that shown in Figure 3 of the first embodiment of the invention.

Claims

1.- Handle (1) of cleaning items, comprising:

- at least one female socket (B);

at least one male bushing (C) configured to engage and join the female bushing (B);

- a first section (3) comprising a female bushing (B) at one of its ends;

- at least a second section (4), intermediate, comprising, at each of its ends, a male bushing (C), which is connected to the female bushing (B) of the first leg (3); Y,

- a third section (5), comprising a female bushing (B), which is connected to the intermediate section (4) by connecting said female bushing (B) with the male bushing (C) comprised in the second leg;

characterized in that each male bushing (C) comprises a first end (16) which in turn comprises a first appendix, a second appendix and a third appendix, such that the coupling and connection between the male bushing (C) and the female bushing (B) is carried out by inserting the first end (16) into a socket hole (17) comprised in the female bushing (B), where the third appendix (14) is selected from a stud to establish a coupling and reversible joint and a harpoon tip to establish irreversible coupling and attachment.

2. - Handle (1) of cleaning articles according to claim 1, characterized in that the first appendix (12) of the male bushes (C) comprises radial projections (7) that can be fitted in grooves (8) of the female bushes (B), and that establish means anti-rotation after the snap fit of said male and female bushes.

3. - Handle (1) of cleaning articles according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the male bushing (C) additionally comprises a second end (15) which is introduced on each side of each side of the second section ( 4), providing rigidity to the coupling with the adjacent section (3, 4, 6, 5).

4. - Handle (1) of cleaning articles according to claim 3, characterized in that the male bushing (C) additionally comprises a gripping area (11) of the male bushing (C) to the section (4) in which it is inserted , said gripping zone (11) extending in the same direction as the second end (15) of said male bushing (C).
