Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Betriebsverfahren für eine, insbesondere direkteinspritzende, mehrere Brennräume aufweisende Brennkraftmaschine, insbesondere für einen direkteinspritzenden Ottomotor eines Kraftfahrzeugs, mit zumindest teilweiser NOx-armer Verbrennung (NAV) und mit mehreren Teilbetriebsverfahren, bei dem zwischen zumindest einem weiteren Teilbetriebsverfahren und einem NAV-Teilbetriebsverfahren gewechselt wird, wobei im Falle des NAV-Teilbetriebsverfahrens zu einem Zündzeitpunkt (ZZP) ein weitgehend homogenes, mageres Kraftstoff-/Abgas-/Luftgemisch mit einem Verbrennungsluftverhältnis von λ ≥1 in dem jeweiligen Brennraum mittels einer Zündvorrichtung fremdgezündet wird und eine durch die Fremdzündung gestartete Flammenfrontverbrennung (FFV) in eine Raumzündverbrennung (RZV) übergeht. Durch Variation des Verdichtungsverhältnisses ε lässt sich die Betriebsstabilität in dem jeweiligen Teilbetriebsverfahren verbessern.
